“So impressed with the different kinds of food that they have! My meal was really hot, so I had to wait a while before it cooled down enough from the hot stone so I could eat it. I had been looking for a green tea dessert that I could also indulge in that had more green tea flavor and I FINALLY found it! Happily enjoyed it down to the last bite. :) P.S. “Traveled to Columbia for work and was invited here for dinner, and let me tell you, I already want to go back. Service was amazing, I started off with an old fashioned. Our server sold me on it because the head barman actually selects the bourbon from the specific barrels himself! We had an amazing beet appetizer that was simple but so elegant the way it highlighted the ingredients. For the main course I had the bone-in pork chop with greens and potato puree. The food was phenomenal! You could taste the thoughtfulness and attention to each ingredient. The atmosphere is cozy, it's in an old historic building in a trending area of Columbia. Overall the vibe was energetic and purely authentic. Can't wait to come back and experience this restaurant again”

“Our son and his fiance were married New Year's Eve in the Planetarium at the State Museum. We had the Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Cocktail Party at Nonnah's the evening before. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire experience from start to finish. Maggie, the General Manager, was awesome and guided me throughout the process in choosing the menu for dinner and the appetizers for the Welcome Cocktail Party. Her help was invaluable!!!! Our bartenders and servers were totally awesome as well! Now to the food -- The food was FABULOUS! Best Shrimp and Grits I think I've ever had! Those who had the Pork Chop and the Vegetarian dish also raved about their food. And the desserts -- Well, they are the best!! The atmosphere was absolutely perfect! We dined in the "twinkly lights room" and moved to the Bar area for the Welcome Cocktail Party. It was a magical evening, and we could not have been more pleased with the entire Nonnah's experience!!!!! Would highly recommend having your event there. Maggie "knows her stuff" and everything was so beautiful, and she was so accommodating!!”

“I ordered the rib eye. It was cooked to perfection. Tender juicy and flavorful. Garlic Mashed potatoes were good, maybe a little too much garlic but I was able to enjoy them. She crab soup is the best I've tasted so far. The restaurant is sort of low lit I guess to give the place a romantic feel. The location of this restaurant can make parking a challenge especially during evenings and weekends since there are other restaurants and bars nearby. I am pleased that I was able to make reservations on my mobile device. I would highly recommend you make reservations especially if you are planning to dine in the evenings or Saturday's. Our server was friendly, prompt and did not forget about us after we were served. I would definitely recommend this place. Great place for one on one dining. Not the best for family dining in my opinion however I am sure they could accommodate. Good job strip club!”

“Taking our first adventure to Columbia, SC, we happened upon this totally delicious restaurant for an afternoon lunch. The setting is delightful, the food fantastic. We chose to eat outside on a relatively warm February day. We enjoyed the She Crab soup - best we have ever eaten - a crab cake sandwich with a very tasty wedge salad, and the fried shrimp lunch entree. Between the quality food, the ambiance, and the beautiful weather, it was a perfect experience. Highest recommendation for this lovely establishment.”

It's best to wait 20 to 25 minutes before you try and make first contact as you don't was to scare the understaffed wait staff. If you plan on drinking beer, I would consider bringing your own beer and pounding it in the parking lot. The pizza was pretty good, but the smaller than expected and overpriced.”

“The best tasting quality pastries and bread in Columbia! This place reminded me of the feel of good European pastries. They make their pastries fresh and ferment their bread downstairs. The food is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying while not feeling too heavy. We really enjoyed their Matcha Latte. The decor of the place is comfortable and homey with a rustic modern feel. Interesting business model of paying their servers living wages without the expectation of tips (they have a sign at the register that says this). Even though they don't get tips the servers are very helpful and kind. They bring your food to the table and refill your water. This is our favorite breakfast/brunch place in Columbia, highly recommend you trying!”
