“Took a detour on my way back to Charleston from Bluffton and stopped in to this cute bagel shop in Beaufort. No-frills, bagels done quick and right! The breakfast bagel sandwiches were perfect...eggs were nicely fried and bacon was cooked perfectly. The service was so quick and efficient. Oh, and they had fresh banana nut muffins out on the counter....HOLY MOTHER OF MUFFINS...they were THAT good!”

“This place is amazing! Such a sweet little community! There are opportunities to explore Farmers markets, special events like the fall festival, and all the shops and owners are fabulous ❤️ It feels safe enough to let your children play freely at the little shipyard playground or bike around the one-way streets. There's a large grassy knoll to play Frisbee or kick a ball around. Places for bunch or fancy date night or grab some family pizza! Definitely worth the walk around. Would definitely consider making this place home or at least a regular hangout.”

“What a gem! So glad we found it for an afternoon brunch on a trip from Hilton Head to Charleston. The shrimp and grits were delicious, according to my husband. I had an omelette with cheesy grits that were absolutely perfect. My son had a generous portion of french toast that did not need syrup. My other son had a melty grilled cheese that was cooked to perfection. There is also a shop filled with whimsical yard decor, handmade soaps, wind chimes, local honey and jams.”

“This is a very busy restaurant but their restrooms (the men's at least) needed better attention. Water all over the floor (I was glad I wasn't wearing flip flops) water all over the counter with one half-soggy roll of paper towels sitting on it and the two towel dispensers empty with no electric hand blowers. The cashier was super friendly though and actually acted like she enjoyed her job there. I haven't seen that attitude in a fast food restaurant in a long time. As busy as they were I was in and out very quickly.”

There are toys to play with, a very friendly staff, a proper changing table (not a pull down), and spare diapers for really little children. “We love the Chive Blossom...we've eaten there for years and the food and service is always top notch. However, tonight we were treated very rudely by the staff upon entering the restaurant for our 6pm reservations. We were a party of 10...6 adults and 4 children under 5. When we made reservations several weeks a go we said we wanted to sit outdoors so we would not disturb the guests inside, but were told that Chive Blossom does not take reservations for outdoor seating. So, they had us at a "high" table top right in the middle of the restaurant across from the bar...right in the high traffic pattern and it just wasn't going to work for us...and we felt for them. So we then asked if we could sit outside and were told flatly "NO!" After much consternation we were allowed to eat outside and had a wonderful meal with wonderful service from Peter. My advice to Chive Blossom...take reservations for outside. If the weather is bad, then the party will have to look elsewhere to dine. This should make it easier for them and their customers. “Amazing food! You can definitely tell it is fresh & mostly homemade. The prices are very fair for the portions. I got a southern salad and it was quite large. I was with a part of 6 and everyone spoke highly of the sweet potato fries. The only downside to our visit was our waitress. She was extremely rude, cold and not attentive. We dined at 2pm so it was nowhere near closing. Great food, but service was below average.”

“We arrived around 4:30 during a thunderstorm so it wasn't very crowded. We chose the safe route by eating inside from the storm. The "Yardbird" taste awesome and kids got the chicken fingers and fries. Our autistic son even liked the fries. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich which she enjoyed, so did my daughter with the 2 bites that she took of it. We'd eat here again and hopefully next time be able to enjoy the ocean front seating.”

“The Lost Dog Cafe on Huron Street at Folly Beach is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast or brunch in the Charleston area. The food is consistently tasty and well prepared and I have had a chance to have just about every menu item, but I seem to lean towards the breakfast side of the menu even when it is after noon. I really live the entire dog theme and atmosphere as there are dogs everywhere and it is dog friendly for the outside portion of the restaurant. I like that there is parking available and I seem to be able to find a parking spot in front most times I come here. The service is really good and attentive as they go all out to make sure that you have everything that you need. I know that coming here will be result in a pleasant experience.”
