“The staff were very friendly and helpful as the elderly gentleman I was with struggled to walk through the door as I was holding him up by rushing to his aid and holding the door until he was safely through and seated. They did the same when we left. One of the employees who was disabled himself made it a point to speak to us and wish us a nice day. “I enjoyed this dinner! You can see the kitchen through some windows. The atmosphere is very moody. It's outer appearance does not reflect what you find inside the doors. It's like walking into another world when you enter. It was rather noisy, but that's partially due to how popular this place is. We managed to find a seat just fine. We customized a pizza, and we were not disappointed! In my opinion, they didn't add quite enough of the toppings we chose, but we were still very pleased with the pizza! It was also nice to see real bacon on a pizza. It looked like they cooked it up right before adding it to the pizza. Delicious!”

“Locals took me here for a farewell lunch after 2 weeks in Oak Ridge. It was busy, but staff were courteous, attentive, and generous with tortilla chips and sauce while our meals were being prepared. On request, they provided an especially hot sauce that we mixed with the regular salsa to suit our tastes. They were glad to accommodate requests to omit rice from individual orders. Even so, the volume served was a bit much for me, but maybe ideal for younger, hungrier people. Next time in Oak Ridge, I would go again.”

“I can't rave enough about wonderful this little place happens to be. We were on our way back home to Ohio when we saw a sign for Coal creek. Definitely was worth the stop. Portions were not only generous most everything is homemade. The pie was fabulous. The staff is like friends I have known for awhile. Staff was Friendly, made suggestions and explained the smoking process to us. I only wish we lived closer to visit more often. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot and delicious!! On our next trip south I can promise we will be making a stop at Coal Creek Smokehouse. Thank you for your friendly service and fabulous food. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!”
