Grapevine Cafe

Restaurant Cafe Bakery

“Staff/service were amazing (Thanks Jesus!!)! Food was hands down delicious. We got the loaded hashbrowns, lemon blueberry pancakes, a caramel cream breve, and some refreshers. Everything was perfect! Refresher was out of this world too. Also love that they showcase local artists work for sale!! Loved this painting above our table. Great breakfast choice for our trip!!!”

F&B

Address: 3109 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“F&B was so delicious!! I wish I live in South Padre Island only so I can go to this restaurant more often. Every single thing we had was incredible. You can tell that Chef Gordon really works hard on his craft. The flavors were well balanced and artistically done. The white truffle risotto was the most incredible dish I have ever eaten. We came back to the restaurant 2 nights in a row, just for it. And as an added bonus for all the celiacs, they have gluten-free bread!”

KFC

Address: 3201 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Men's bathroom door, if you are able to get it closed it takes extreme strength to pull it back open.. I mentioned It before and they totally ignore it. If you are elderly, forget closing it tightly and opening it back up. Some of the help is unfriendly and do not know how to greet customers or say thank you! The food is pretty good so they only get 3 stars.”

Tom and Jerry's

Address: 3212 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“First time here. Wasn’t planning on it to be honest. Tried our other two regular places and they were closed. Ended up here based on in laws suggestions. Wow. I had seen a picture of some bacon wrapped shrimp but never knew where it was. Saw them here and ordered them. Amazing flavor. Bold. Bursting with flavor. Came with a side salad. Great ranch. Baked potato with cheese was solid. Will definitely be back. Saw other plates being delivered: chicken fried chicken wow. The po boy looked amazing.”

Chilitto Pikin

Address: 3305 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Good basic Mexican restaurant they also provide three levels of hot sauce one is jalapeno one is habanero and the final one is unpronounceable.”

Padre Island Brewing Co

Address: 3400 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“According to my husband and daughter the flight of beers were very good. The pizza was also good, we ordered it with bacon, and it was generously topped with bacon. The fried pickles were with possibly beer battered and not something I would order again. The cheese curd were good. We also ordered a pretzel, which could have been a little bigger for the price. Service was good, but the waitresses were all over the place.”

Josephine’s Kitchen

Address: 3409 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“4stars for their very generous portions. We got the Rooster, which came with a side of pancake or waffle. I loved that the pancake can be plain, blueberry, or with fresh strawberries without any additional charge. Great service. My only recommendation besides improving flavor is to improve water quality because it tasted very chlorinated. Because of that the drip coffee had the same problem.”

Rita's Restaurant Bar

Address: 4001 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“I had a great experience there . The stuff is very very nice! Food is also good, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal . Our server Angelo was above and beyond , so attentive and polite. Overall, great atmosphere with really nice people!”

Señor Donkey

Address: 4215 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Haven't been here in a while. Actually since it was the Green Donkey. Had the Taco plate, have to say it was kinda bland and the portions were very small. The upside, service was fast and friendly. Is it the best Mexican food on the sandbar?? Probably not. Only saving grace is the drinks are good and stong.”

Blackbeards'

Address: 103 E Saturn Ln, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Haven't had a chance to eat here in years but I'm glad to say that the food was as good as I remember from back in the day! The main recommendation that I think is worth noting are the onion rings! These things are huge and the batter that they are fried with is great! The burgers are also really good here but they also have steaks and seafood. But the Brownie Sunday was the main attraction for our kids.”

Laredo Taco Company

Address: 5000 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Just say yes. Best breakfast tacos on the island.”

7-Eleven

Address: 5000 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Cafe Meal takeaway Bakery Restaurant

“Much like the 7-11 where I come from, if you are looking for a 7-11, it is a 7-11. If you aren't looking for a 7-11, 1 star and it isn't whatever else you thought it was.”

BurgerFi

Address: 5001 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“I've always wanted to try BurgerFi and we found one on our vacation in South Padre. The first night we went there we were informed that they couldn't accept any more patrons because some machines were broken. I was bummed but made it a mission to go the next day. They still had broken machines and were very understaffed. Our cashier was kind and apologetic for everything. Our food was delicious! The CEO was the best burger ever!! The onion rings also best ever as were the truffle and parmeson fries! Absolutely delicious!!”

Breaking Bread Burrito Express

Address: 5200 Padre Blvd #104, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“I stumbled upon this place while on the island and ended up visiting it multiple times. It's a cozy little restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and they are wrapping up some pretty darn good burritos made with fresh and mostly locally-sourced ingredients. Tried the breakfast burrito on my first trip then had to come back the next day to try them out for lunch. This is some authentic Mexican food, and it will definitely fill you up. And if you are looking for some spice, they have add-ins that will kick up the heat (the Salsa Verde is a must). If you happen to be on the island, I highly recommend checking out Burrito Express (and their food truck) for some good food, friendly people, and great local flavor.”

PORKY'S PIT

Address: 5301 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“I’m writing this while I’m eating because it’s so good I couldn’t wait another minute to write the review. In town on vacation and wanted something local and different… I would give Porky's 20 stars if that were an option. The ribs are so tender they fell off the bone while picking them up, and were very delicious. The pulled pork is absolutely amazing!! But what we will crave for months to come is the brisket!! I have never had a brisket with this much flavor. Absolutely delicious. HIGHLY recommend!”

Kellys Irish Pub

Address: 101 E Morningside Dr, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Such a fun little joint! We had the best waitress ever. The place was pretty full and she was working alone. Our drinks never got low and our food came out in time. She had the best attitude considering how overloaded she was. If you like potatoes, you’ll love the food. Everything is a little on the heavier side but very tasty.”

Dona Carmen’s #4

Address: 5800 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“First time at this location. The food was good and the flour tortilla was amazing. They were out of chorizo so we were not able to order the choriqueso. Not sure how a Mexican restaurant can be out of a main ingredient. 🤔 Update 7/22/22 came back and this time they had chorizo.”

Rockin' Cigar Bar & Grill @ 3rd Coast

“Man ohhh man I don't even know where to start!!! The cheesesteaks were the BEST I ever had. The flavor was all through the food and everything was piping HOT. We were really impressed!!! Sooo delish 😋 This is our spot when we visit Padre again. The staff made sure they checked on us over and over. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Then as a bonus they a pool table in there we were able to get in a few games.”

Philly King at South Padre Island

Address: 5908 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“The new Philly king location on the island is awesome. There's a bar and a pool table. You have to be able to walk up some stairs though to get to it. The food is so good. I love the BBQ Philly husband loves the original or the spicy. The ranch is a MUST get.”

Mariscos Playa Azul Café

Clayton's Beach Bar & Event Venue

Address: 6900 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“I really like Clayton's restaurant. Though it's my first time going there, they made a good impression and I like the way they serve their food. They give many sauces unlike any other restaurant, not to mention the food is amazing too, etc. They've got many restrooms and they keep it clean. There's many seating options and there's a big bridge to go onto looking over the beach. I had a really good experience and would go again the next time I have a chance.”

The Lookout Bar + Refuge

Address: 7000 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Friendly staff. Very attentive personnel. Great tasting food: shrimp basket, fish basket, mozzarella sticks, pizza and nachos. On the day of my visit, there was no small pie available and had to purchase a large one ($15) which includes one topping. Nachos are 6 large pieces of nachos with plenty of topping: chicken, tomatoes and cilantro sauce. Ask for sour cream on the side of you like that. Plenty of alcohol choices available and non-alcoholic drinks available also: Gatorade, bottle water, etc. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor seating have television and the decor is really nice. Outdoor seating with umbrella and comfortable chairs and tables made of PVC pipes. Located a part of La Quinta Inn and accessible through the hotel by the pool area or accessible through the beach. Open to the entire public.”

Barry's Beach Bar

Address: 7010 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“Ordered bagel with cream cheese. They were out of cream cheese and then had to use plastic fork because dishes were dirty. Not sure we want to come back”

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Address: 7010 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597, USA

Restaurant

“The food was hot, fresh, and super flavorful. Everything was delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They also have the best chips ever! Their margaritas were also really good, and strong. My only criticism is to maybe offer different types of salsa with the chips - they only have one kind, which was way too spicy for me, but my husband seemed to like it.”
