Saltwater Grill

The food was flavorful and wasn't too expensive in comparison to other places in Galveston.

Had the grilled snapper special, risotto & asparagus...really good. No room for dessert but they looked wonderful. Service was great and fast. Clean and pleasant. We'll go back.

We were curious and hungry, so we headed there late Saturday night. Arrived a few minutes past 9. Really cool atmosphere, lots of cool interior details like the fish lights over the bar. My wife got bacon wrapped shrimp on grits, I got the ribeye topped with grilled gulf coast shrimp, with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. All cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor.

Service was impeccable, and we never felt rushed even as closing time approached. Living in Austin, a town that claims to have great eateries I wish the owners of Austin restaurants would come here to learn about true service, presentation, ambience and quality. It would do them well.

Don't bypass this place on your next visit. It's great food, service, atmosphere and relaxed, all for a reasonable price.

Cozy atmosphere. Not busy this evening, which worked out well for us and our children. Food was delicious, even the kids' meals. Great steak, perfectly tender seafood, fantastic sauces. I definitely recommend the Chef Winter's Seafood Combo or the filet (if you're not a seafood lover.) Prompt, friendly service, cold drinks and all in a fun neighborhood.

visited this Galveston institution during restaurant week. Service was super fast, but our entrees came out before we had even touched our salads. each of us had a different one of the featured entrees and all were excellent
