I was born and raised on this island, and must say that this was the BEST seafood meal I’ve ever had. Please do yourself a favor and get the shrimp cocktail!!!
Perfect dinner experience at Shucks Tavern and Oyster Bar. I had a few friends recommend this place to me. The food was fabulous. The place offers different kinds of oysters. We got a dozen East Coast oysters, they were amazing and fresh. Plus the Oysters Rockefeller were delicious. The Aguachile a Mexican dish made with shrimp had a nice presentation, great texture and flavor with a kick of serrano peppers. The Blackened Snapper was amazing. The fish was perfectly blackened with a delicious cream sauce on the side. The atmosphere and decor were very nice. We will definitely be back. PS the staff was great.
Had an amazing lunch at Shucks Tavern today. Ordered the lunch special of Chicken Fried Chicken which came with a house salad (plentiful) which had a wonderful house dressing. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was a big portion that I shared with my companion. I ordered the fries and green beans as sides and absolutely loved them. Dessert was delicious as well. Our server was highly attentive and pleasant. In addition the tavern is very clean with beautiful decor. Truly loved the upscale vibe. We Truly loved our lunch experience and left stuffed!!! Can’t wait to return.
Walking in, the whole place looks amazing. Very clean and a very cool set up. Mandy was amazing, her service and kindness was the icing on the cake. Food is ridiculously good and they have a great selection of drinks and oysters. We will definitely be back!!
Edit.. also the music they play, is perfect background to a great new place in Galveston
