Taquilo's Tex-Mex Cantina

Great spot. A group of friends and I were bike riding and making pit stops. We stopped on Taquilos. Carly, the bar tender took great care of us. She’s super personable and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

This place has a hip Mexican restaurant vibe. It’s in a great location and provides some good people watching.

Jimmy, our friendly bartender, was so sweet, attentive, and made us some tasty skinny margaritas (which were $4 for happy hour - what a great deal!)

We ate way too many chips and salsa, that green stuff (avocado & sour cream, I think?) is ADDICTING I TELL YOU!! We also tried some charro beans which we normally wouldn’t go for, but they were absolutely delicious!

The staff all seemed like they truly cared about the customer experience. Thank you, Jimmy & thank you, Taquilo’s!

We had the 4-person fajita dinner, and everything was perfect. The waiter was attentive, fast and extremely friendly. He did a great job recommending good local beer for us. The food was tasty, perfectly cooked, and we left full and happy. A wonderful experience that I highly recommend for anyone visiting Galveston.
