“The best Arab desserts in all of Houston! Great selection of desserts that are fresh and fairly priced compared to comps in the area. They also have great food, with their chicken shawarma sandwich being the best shawarma I’ve had in Houston and top 3 best shawarma I’ve had in the US. All their food is made fresh and is very delicious. The staff is also friendly and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The outdoor seating is also clean and well maintained and a great place to sit when coming here at night. During Ramadan they’re open until 2 AM every night, which allows you to catch them after taraweeh.”

“Stopped in just after this location 1st opened thinking - new location, I will bet its going to be AWESOME! I was disappointed that it didn't live up to expectations. Don't get me wrong it wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't anything great either. The staff didn't act like they were excited in anyway to have me as a customer. There was no warm greeting upon arrival, or thank you after order or leaving. The donut selection was okay but nothing great. The donuts tasted fine - but for the price I can go to VooDoo or even HEB or Wal-Mart just down the road and get donuts that are just as good and probably cheaper. Just wasn't what I was expecting especially during a grand opening period. The atmosphere was clean and modern which looked nice, but from a dining in standpoint I found it somewhat awkward. Maybe this location will get better over time, but early on I think they have a lot they need to figure out before they are going to compete in this area. It was easy access in and out, and plenty of parking so I do think they picked a good location. I wish them much success.”

“Note, I’m a fan of Shipley’s donuts This is a pretty small Shipleys donuts where they probably have five tables total and 12 chairs or so they do have a nice outdoor patio although it is right next to Katie Freeway so it’s not the most quiet of outdoor locations. The staff was all friendly and more than willing to help out .”

“Angela’s Oven has all the fixings of a quaint French bistro. The break on my Pain Fromage had a great crunchy crust and a soft center. The cheese was tasty and melted to perfection with crispy edges. The ham was a sweet county style/honey ham. Lastly the egg was cooked fresh and left nice and runny like I like. It has a nice outdoor seating area as well to enjoy with some friends over coffee or lunch. Parking was even pretty easy for a neighborhood location. The staff was super friendly!”

“Cambrian Coffee is not really particularly close to my house & only sort of close to my son's school but I still head over there as often as I can. The coffee is great! I usually order a latte with one of the true to flavor syrups. The atmosphere is fun & eclectic and service is always perfectly friendly. But what really keeps me returning are the sausage rolls! The UK/Canadian style sausage rolls with flaky pastry & perfectly seasoned sausage are mouthwateringly good & pair perfectly with the delicious coffee. Really, go try them! The only issue I ever have is fighting the urge to order more than one!”

“Fun new restaurant. We self ordered at the 2 kiosks to the left as soon as you walk in. It made it easy with pictures and descriptions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a selection of corn dogs and donuts to try. Everything was cooked perfectly. I would personally prefer the breading on the corn dog to be a little thinner however it was still cooked well and not soggy. Grab a box of donuts or filled donuts to take home. Seating is a bit limited but you can always get your order to go.”

“It was an early Thursday morning in Houston, Texas, and I was craving a kolache. I knew exactly where to go: Shipley Do-nut at Highway 6 North. Shipley Do-nut is a Houston institution, and it's known for its delicious kolaches. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, but my favorites are the Kolache-Sausage and Cheese and the Kolache-Sausage, Cheese, and Jalapeños. I arrived at Shipley Do-nut around 7:30am, and the place was already buzzing. There was a line of people waiting to order, but it moved quickly. I placed my order for a Kolache-Sausage and Cheese and a Kolache-Sausage, Cheese, and Jalapeños. The kolaches were freshly made and piping hot out of the oven. They were soft and fluffy on the inside, and the fillings were generous and flavorful. The sausage was juicy and flavorful, and the cheese was melted and gooey. The jalapeños in the Kolache-Sausage, Cheese, and Jalapeños added a nice kick of heat. I took a bite of each kolache and was immediately transported to heaven. The flavors were so delicious and comforting. The kolaches were the perfect way to start my day, and they gave me the energy I needed to power through the morning. I highly recommend Shipley Do-nut for anyone looking for a delicious and timely breakfast. The kolaches are delicious and affordable, and the service is always friendly and efficient.
