“Great food! You have to try the red curry! They also have a pool table. Feels like this is an emerging hangout for the area! Update: Went back for dessert. I approve!”

Bangkok Restaurant and Lounge

Address: 5901 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79107, USA

Restaurant

“This place was surprisingly very good. We ordered fried quail, cashew chicken curry with friend rice, chicken satay and mango sticky rice. Would recommend all of these, especially the cashew chicken curry which was the right amount of spice and tasty. The waiter added their own personal touch by personally sitting at your table and taking the order. They only take cash, so be prepared.”

Somali African Safari Restaurant

Address: 5945 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79107, USA

Restaurant

“We had a very enjoyable meal of goat meat on rice and a bowl of beef stew. One plate was plenty for two of us. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we tried to figure out what to order.”

Starlight Ranch Event Center

Address: 1415 Sunrise Dr #4300, Amarillo, TX 79104, USA

Restaurant

“I’ve attended 2 events here And I really love the space. It feels like a really tiny midstate fair. There’s little buildings all around and a nice big stage and seating area. The VIP area was really nice where we sat and watched a concert. One of these events I was a vendor. I had trouble with the Wi-Fi for my square reader but I hear they may have resolved that now. There’s a tiny little playground and mini golf on site. They have always had additional Porta potty‘s in addition to their regular restrooms. The on-site bar actually has whiskey and vodka and tequila which is nice. Too bad they don’t serve big Texan beer! That would be an awesome addition and I would pay more money for specialty beer rather than Bud Light! I really quite like this venue. I will say that when the wind blows it can get quite dusty out there which isn’t ideal but it is Amarillo after all!”

Godfather's Pizza Express

Address: 6930 E Interstate Dr East, Amarillo, TX 79118, USA

Restaurant

“The pizza was great, but the ordering process over the phone was not great. Was asked the same questions more than once. Could hardly understand the representative. Had to provide the address multiple times. Took 12 minutes to place an order. Great food but please work on the ordering process.”

Black Bear Diner Amarillo

Address: 7000 E Interstate 40 Hwy, Amarillo, TX 79118, USA

Restaurant

“Great breakfast. The large, plump sausage links are the best that I’ve eaten in any restaurant! The pancakes are made with sweet cream and are huge and fluffy. I covered them in butter and ate them without syrup…that’s how sweet they are. The hash browns covered the plate. They were browned on top but soft-cooked underneath. My preference is crispy both sides but they were delicious. The meatloaf was good but not spectacular. There is a cooler in front filled with great looking desserts. It is inside the truck stop with the store attached. Great place.”

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Address: 7000 I-40, Amarillo, TX 79118, USA

Restaurant

“It's a quick, convenient, gas station Popeyes. Perfect for a quick bite on a car trip. The service here is, while not really friendly, is quick, which can't be said for some other Popeyes locations. The food here is middle of the road; not great, but also not bad either. The worst part here is that the cost is way too high. It's about roughly 2x the cost of a regular Popeyes location. Instead of $6 for a chicken sandwich combo, expect to pay $10+. The cost of the food, combined with the decent food and service makes it a completely OK place to stop and eat.”

Burger King

Address: 7000 E Interstate 40 Hwy, Amarillo, TX 79118, USA

“So, Burger King tell us that these fries are "drenched" in cheese sauce. It seems an awfully strong claim.”

The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery

Restaurant

“It was a pleasant experience! The dining atmosphere was very home like. We went as a very big group and one of the guys in charge I assume didn't seen too pleased. None the less they did manage to seat us together. The wait staff was very friendly and patient with our group. The food was delicious and worth the trip. Thank you to the guy who plays his guitar and sang for us Friends in Low Places. It turned out to be great time and I would definitely go again.”

Kathy's Kitchen

Address: 4517 TX-136, Amarillo, TX 79108, USA

Restaurant

“This was a nice little burger place. The waitress was very nice. The service was very good and quick. I ordered a regular cheeseburger, it came with fries or choice of onion rings. The burger was not too greasy, and not dry. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. Not exciting or extravagant, just an average burger restaurant.”

Mitch's Texas Style BBQ

Address: 8507 E Interstate Dr, Amarillo, TX 79118, USA

Restaurant

“At first I was a little hesitant since it's located inside of a major gas station. Gas stations are a red flag for me lol. However they quickly overcame that with portion sizes and prices that matched. My two family members got the very affordable $10 Sandwich Trays. I bought what is called the "stockpile" for 10 bucks. The stockpile are nachos that are ridiculous in size and even more ridiculous and flavor. I chose to go with the spicy barbecue but it was one of two that I tried. The other regular barbecue was phenomenal as well. They're brisket freshly chopped was absolutely amazing. Also had their mac and cheese side that tasted good. I started off not sure, but after the portions, pricing and taste of all the amazing food I would recommend this place to anyone who is a local or traveling through like we are.”
