“I would say they are trying little harder then before. It still takes a long time to order and receive your items. We go here because it is close but we seem to always have a tough time here.”

“There are 3 grilled chicken places in the area and this one always has the largest crowd around it. It was really good! 15 bucks you get half a chicken, side of rice, charro beans, half a grilled onion and a ton of tortillas. The salsas that come with it are really delicious. I'll definitely be coming back.”

“A little disappointed in this place. I ordered 8 pastor and steak tacos, but it ended up being $40. The tacos were normal street tacos, but it was very little meat if I’m paying $5 per taco. They also ran out of green sauce when I came.”

“Really enjoyed my egg and cactus burrito! Everything was cooked perfectly. The tortilla and beans tasted so fresh, the cheese was gooey and the right amount, and the salsas added a layer of flavor to bring it all together! Plus, it was so big that I get to eat it for two meals, all for under $10. Also, staff was so friendly! I ate at the picnic table next to the truck.”

“Best sushi spot in town, if you came in blindfolded without knowing, you wouldn't believe it was vegan. Happy hour is a great way to try out a lot of items on the menu but you must get the bao bun "chicken" and the tempura. Try the fried edamame as well. Won't ruin the experience but the food travels well and still tastes great after taking leftovers home and storing it in the fridge for a few hours.”

“Big Taquito is a must try 👍🏻 decided to try their signature taquitos (potato and chicken) along with bistek and pastor mini tacos. The owner was really kind. He gave us explanations about their menu items which made ordering easier. The taquitos were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Potato taquito was something that I have never tasted before and it was delicious. The chicken taquito was also the best I've had. The mini tacos were juicy and tender. I would recommend to try both pastor and bistek when you are there. Highly recommend this gem.”

“Got the taquito plate with beef fajita, it was delicious! Only critique is it could use some salt, but I was fine without it. Super friendly, and the limonada was great too! Would come again”

“First off, this is not your normal whataburger. It’s to-go only and best practice is to use the app to order ahead of time. If you’re looking to have a human you speak with place your order this is not the place. It’s all on you to put in what you want , which is a fairly simple task. Frankly, I enjoy the new concept and appreciate no sitting in some exhaustive line of cars while people place orders. I’ll gladly take this new style over the old way of doing things. Having been here multiple times the food has been consistently good.”

“Our first SusieCakes experience was so positive, I can not recommend them enough. I ordered a 1/2 birthday cake for our baby, and loved it. We got the small size but was able to feed 14 people. Everyone said the cake was absolutely delicious. Even when I picked up the cake, the staff were friendly and seemed genuinely happy. Their location is bright and charming. I am so excited to have come across them and can’t wait to get their cakes for all other occasions!”

“I love it so much!! There is a ramen here for every mood, and they’re ALL amazing and worth trying. My go to is the spicy miso, super hot! I love how you can still distinguish every flavor despite the amount of heat you request. I could eat it every day. My second favorite is the jiro. This bowl is a bit heavier because the noodles and broth are thicker. When I’m hungry af or hungover, this bowl sets me straight. smoked chicken shoyu is pure class. If you want a lighter option, this one is for you. Just like Sazan, the wings are amazing— Daiboku’s are juicier and lighter on the spice. Love coming here to sip on a one cup and eat the best ramen in Austin. Well done, chefs!”

“Traveling from NYC… Was so hard to find a good hookah bar out here until I came to Campus Hookah… Authentic feel to a hookah bar where you can enjoy hookah… extremely reasonable pricing and constantly making sure I have coal… Highly recommend and staff is very friendly… The Hostess Maria is awesome…”

“This was our 1st time going to Mighty Mo's. It was a great experience. The food was fresh and piping hot. The customer service was amazing. We did dine in and ordered burger and Philly cheese steak sandwiches. It's pretty much self order, but we were helped by the owner on the ordering process. The fries were crispy, fresh, and hot. I had a Philly steak sandwich. It was delicious!! I would definitely go again! But parking near the campus is usually next to impossible. This time we got lucky. I hope they open up another branch near arboretum or cedar park. There were plenty of order pick up and very few people dining in.”

“This place has great vibes, great food, and great beer. Their clientele is a good distribution of college kids and old folks, which is always a good sign. Will come back if I’m ever in Austin again.”

“OMG…These burgers are the bomb! We had the double patty cheeseburger and the vegan chicken burger and they both were so juicy and delicious. Service is so great too, very friendly and it didn’t take that long. Can’t wait to be back to try many more burger variations. Thank you!”

“Nice, friendly, and helpful service. The Wellness folks all smiled when I said hello! It was great! And when I asked for the specific OTC medicine, one of them took my right to it. There were no other customers in the store when I showed up, so I had excellent service. On the other hand, the machine processing credit/debit cards was down, so that was a minor inconvenience, as I had to go out to my car to get my checkbook. All in all, good service and good products!”

“We visit this place after complete team meeting and have dinner together for the first time. Love the overall vibe. Chill and relax. Nice place for after work to hangout, especially when your boss pays 🤣. All of us eat with various fillings and side dishes. Mine have to adapt some the hottest dipping sauce with my prawns taco to spice them up which results tasty beyond expectations. Rice as side dish is great. For liquor 🍸, can’t drink but base on refills and decorations. My colleagues say so great and perfect. Friendly and service mind staffs. Don’t mind with my customized orders while others take as it is. Even during the meal I felt down from work and cause me lost appetite more than usual but their food able to made me to eat and boost my mood up. Thank you so much. Would be nice to visit and try liquor 🍸 when my condition is better.”

“We love all Ling restaurants in Austin. Excited about her new opening at the Grove. Last night we had our daughters birthday dinner at Ling Wu south and let say Martin and the rest of the wait staff were incredible. Best customer service we have ever gotten compared to the others. Not to mention the GM Lee I believe was so inviting!!!”

“This is usually one of the best places to get carne asada in Austin. Very good burritos and carne asada tacos. Their meat doesn't have sinew in it like so many others, so that's why I come here. Their charcoal chicken is also super good and worth trying. They marinate the meats well, and everything is seared hot and fast. You won't find any grey steamed or boiled meat here, it's all genuinely well seared with intense flavour. My only complaint is the consistency of portions. I have found that the sizes of their burritos range wildly, some days it's a good size and others it's shocking how small it is. I've gone a few times where the burrito was smaller than a $1 frozen burrito from a supermarket. Being that the prices are quite high I'd expect greater consistency.”

“literally the best gluten free bread and pastries I’ve tried yet. They have baguettes of different kinds as well as vegan options. Can’t wait to try their pizza crusts. Haven’t stopped going back since I first tried this bread. Adding photos of delicious things I’ve made with this bread for proof and reference lol”

“Absolutely delicious pupusas! I have tried other places in town, this is the best i've had. The flavor i've been searching for, and I am so happy I found it. The toppings are great too, great salsa, great cabbage!”

“Brisket (9/10): As moist and tender as brisket can be without getting mushy. Good bark. The burnt ends were a joy to eat and a testament to why the pursuit of good brisket will never cease to be a fruitful one. Perfect ratio of meat to intramuscular fat and connective tissue. I think the seasoning could’ve used a wee little bit more salt and smoke tho. I was able to detect post oak smoke when I sniffed at the brisket, but I was expecting a little more of that smoky flavor in the burnt ends. I would’ve liked to see more of a fat cap too. An expertly rendered fat cap would’ve been the cherry on the top for this already superb brisket. Coleslaw (9/10): I liked that the coleslaw wasn’t too sweet. There was even a hint of pepper that might not be for everyone but I enjoyed it. This was great at counteracting the fattiness of the brisket. Service (10/10): Mad respect to any bbq establishment that uses metallic utensils. While I’m a strong advocate of using your hands to eat meat, it feels much much nicer to use metallic utensils for the side than the flimsy plastic stuff that’s sadly become the norm. ——@eddythefoodcritic”
