“We sat down around 9am and it was not busy which was nice. Beautiful interior and exterior seating areas. There were many dogs there that were friendly and not barking. For the food, today the quiche was a bit overcooked but flavor was there. The tacos and crepe were good. But the best was the Danish and bread. Must try the baked goods. That's where it's at! I enjoyed the people that worked there also. Genuinely friendly was the vibe. Thanks again for a great experience all around and I will be back with more friends next time ;) 5 starts for sure.”

“Quaint little coffee shop near Montrose and the fourth ward. It's a little easy to miss while driving as it's in between two other buildings, but look for the large banner (pictured) with Native Coffee logo on the black fence decorated in vines. Parking is also a little tricky. You go slightly past the coffee shop and turn right at the mechanic/body shop. There's free parking in that large parking lot on the right, despite the parking signs threatening to be towed (confirmed by the employee at Native Coffee). Once you walk in, there's a beautiful patio and inside you'll find a clean, small coffee shop that looks newly renovated. The worker was great and I think I might have spotted the owner in the back working on sandwiches. They have a great menu but went basic and got my usual ice vanilla latte. There's roughly 15 tables and plenty of space when I visited. Only downside is that there were only a few outlets I could spot, but not an issue while I was there. Looked like they had a lot of customers from the neighborhood and a few from the car shop. Definitely check it out!”

“GO HERE NOW!!! Their donuts when we visited were the best we have had in a decade, and we have had donuts all over the country and in Canada too. Their glazed cake donuts were perfection. The insides had the right amount of texture and were just moist enough. The outsides were glazed exactly right. AND, when we were finished, our fingers were not greasy at all. I then had a traditional chocolate glazed donut. While it was an hour or so old, I had no complaints. There was not an extra drop of grease. The chocolate while pedestrian was lovingly applied. The donut was carefully cooked. It was 5 star. My wife had the crème filled donut. We were stunned. Again, the crème was traditional, yet it was done beyond textbook, splendidly crafted. That donut though, wow. They attention that put to those goes beyond anything we see in and around Houston. Granted, they had no working bathroom, the dining area was worn thin, and the staff was tired or something, so much so they wouldn't even talk to any of the customers, no matter how much any of us in line tried to make small talk. Yet, we both agreed we would make the one hour trip again just for a $5 worth of donuts. We were there around 10:30 on a Friday on a school day. Thank you Dannay's Donuts!”

“My husband and I went to Lucy’s on the recommendation of our friend Christi, and we were not disappointed! The cafe’ atmosphere was delightful and the food was excellent. The young lady that waited on us was so sweet, and brought our food out in just a matter of minutes. We had Chicken Crepes and Chicken Salad w/ Broccoli Soup. Excellent! We already knew that their Strawberry Pie was out of this world, because our friend had already gifted us with one of those, and that was our dessert when we got home. So delicious!”
