Courteous staff, too. Its a lunch area in an office building so not much in the way of ambiance, but they did their best with what they had to work with. The prices were higher than I expected, although now that I've experienced the quality I think they're worth it. I already have my eye on a few delectable-sounding choices for next time!”

“This chain (now with 4 locations in Salt Lake) serves fresh, fresh, fresh but appears to still be searching for direction. The Hamachi appetizer was excellent, its shaved pieces rolled and presented as a rosette while sitting in a nice and slightly sweet sauce. But the sashimi platter, while also fresh, came with such large "slices" that our server had to bring us cutlery. This could have easily been presented (as most sashimi places do) as thin pieces which could easily be parted or eaten with one's chopsticks. My sushi rolls were uneventful perhaps because the nori was more chewy than expected. Not sure what type of nori is used but both of our rolls, while tasty, had a ding because of the chewy nori (the first time I've encountered this is ANY sushi place. One final bit of advice, ask for a tiny taste of their sharp and slightly bitter Italian chardonnay (the only one they offer). It is very different and perhaps to your liking, but we took one sip and sent it back. All that said, this is well worth a visit and a pleasant surprise for being a chain...prices are the standard for today's world with rolls around $14 and appetizers about the same (menu and prices are online). Three Japanese beers offered, the usual fare. Bon appetit...”

“A friend said this place was great so the family and I went to check it out. We ordered cashew chicken, vegetable chicken and orange chicken with lo mein and fried rice. The portions were generous, the food was prepared quickly and the stir fry chicken was so tender and flavorful. This will definitely be a restaurant we return to. Something I found unusual and pleasant was the employees were exceptionally polite and helpful. I can't remember the last time I went to a Chinese restaurant and was asked if I was enjoying the food. Our waiter, Will, was very friendly. I can't wait to go try some other entrees!”

“The employees were great! So helpful, friendly, and professional. The service was speedy-- probably the fastest I've ever been served a shaved ice. Very impressive variety of flavor options. Reasonably priced. We loved the set up with the string lights and magnetic tiles and chalk to play with. But the snow cones just didn't taste good. We got five different flavors, and only one tasted good. I mean, they weren't gross, they just weren't good. Nobody finished even half of theirs. Maybe it was an off day for whoever made the syrups? We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the workers, but not the actual food.”

“This ice cream place has a truly unique feel to it. The decor inside is very colonial, with wooden chairs and tables, candelabras, and even staff that dress the part. They have a ton of different flavors to choose from, each with the name inspired by some historical American figure. The ice cream itself is very good, although I feel like it's slightly overpriced. They don't have any kids sized cups or cones, but if you want to take extra home with you they have lids that fit on all of their containers, which is definitely a plus for smaller kids. I would definitely recommend trying it out!”

“My wife's friend recommended this place and treated us to lunch here. We ordered a variety of items which gave us a good sampling of what they offer. I had the monster double, my son had the monster double potato, and my wife and her friend had sweet potato mozzarella. We liked the potato with mozzarella the best and would just get that as the hot dog is just basic and not worth it while the mozzarella is great quality. The sauces are good and I liked the mustard cheese sauce. The cost is a little high for what you get and is more of a small lunch or snack place. Not a place I would go out of my way for but would go back if in the area for a snack. One of the better corn dog places for someone that does not usually eat corn dogs.”

We visited this location Monday 23, 2023 it was around lunch time. when we arrived the staff greeted with a friendly smile, they suggested their New grillers, fresh chips and Guacamole. My order was perfectly fresh and delicious we ordered the grilled chicken combo, chips and guacamole. We were astonished to see a clean lobby and the Restrooms where nicely stocked and clean. Lety was very friendly she came to our table to make sure our order was perfect and offered us condiments. We will be stopping to this Pollo Loco occasionally for our future business trips just for the exceptional service we received yesterday. In my personal opinion this Pollo Loco has overcome my expectations. Thank you for the delicious food and customer service.”

“Good coffee, cool and friendly crews. We came in from a restaurant next door, half hour before closing. We hang out and enjoyed our coffee in the seating area. The crew were very nice and reminded us that they were closing in few minutes. She was very polite and friendly. Our coffee were served very hot which I really like and the place is well maintained. They also have pastries. They close at 8pm but I wish they close late especially on a Friday night or weekends.”

“Honestly when you talk all you can eat places generally go in with a little bit of expectation management on food quality and service.... But I was properly surprised all around The entire menu is up for grabs with only a few exceptions when you do the all you can eat. The self-serve bar had a wide array of options, and all of them were of completely reasonable quality. They also had a seafood section which was all fresh and appropriately cooled. They also had a couple of decent desserts and cheesecakes to include macaroons that were remarkably fresh. We had the cream cheese wontons as highly typical of someone who lives in Utah, But they were not just standard garbage frozen ones but tasted fresh and were appropriately fried. Meat options were solid. The Kobe tasted as you would expect and was not half-hearted impression like you might find elsewhere. It was probably a low grade based on the fat content but it's exactly what you would want for this setting.... It was still buttery and smooth (don't over cook it. 3-5 seconds). Soup was a little bit bland, and could have used more spice, But that's probably my only complaint from the experience here and I would say that's pretty negligible for most people. It was priced correctly. Food was good, quality was good. Definitely a recommended, especially over similar competitors similar price points like Mr shabu.”
