“This us one of my favorite places to eat breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is very layed back and the food is all made from scratch with very big portions at reasonable prices. The bagels are delicious and with the many toppings to pick from you will have a hard time choosing. They have a serve yourself tea and coffee station with other drinks also available. “Came here with my best friend and I have to say, the food is AMAZING, fried mushrooms were amazing size and the quantity of food here is an A plus. Our waitress was sweet and funny and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. They do take out and we didnt have dessert but they sound delicious. “The name is a bit misleading. We were expecting a romantic Italian bar. When we came there was a cover band playing and the locals rocking it and dancing. We did have a nice fun evening, just know what to expect. Also good to know that the pizza oven closes at 21:00 and then you can only get the night menu from the neighboring tavern.”

“The Bakery is 'Middlebury Central' and should not be missed. Lovely atmosphere, squeeky clean, committed staff and lots of fresh foods and beverages. Bread, pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches etc., hand made and baked on site. On certain days each week there is also wood baked sourdough bread and pork or chicken smoked on site. And in summertime there's lots of shaded outdoor seating amongst the flowers.”

“Ate here this weekend for the first time in more than a year and, unlike the last time, the food was awesome! The margherita pizza was amazing and the falafel and fries were very good, too! “Good food, good salad bar, great happy server attitudes. The place is one of the ones that stays open past 9pm. Full bar and full menu. Our servers were really happy and fun. Food was prepared very well and came out quick. Atmosphere is lively and noisy but fun and noise level is tolerable. Outside eating by the side of Otter Creek is available too. Very nice setting to enjoy a summer dinner. Drinks were generously poured which is a nice treat for a change. We came in after 9 pm and there was some room but at 10 the place started to really fill up. We walked in without reservation on a Friday night. Will go back again while in Middlebury.”

“Delicious fresh and a great selection. Love the Blue Meanie and the Texas Chainsaw. My 5 year old devoured his grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Good service, to everyone complaining about slow service sit down and enjoy a beer from the local brewery next door and chill. The service wasn’t speedy but the only way I’d call it slow is if you’re comparing it to McDonalds!”

“I ran the Mad River Marathon earlier in the day, and needed a place close to my family to recover. The Shoreham Inn provided the perfect retreat. I got to rest, wander the yard and read out on the deck. Later in the evening, we gathered as a family for dinner. The pub/restaurant is always a stop for us when in the area. That evening the consensus was bangers and mash got best dish, with maple pudding as the favorite dessert. The next morning I had a simple breakfast of eggs and bacon, along with a lovely chat from the innkeepers.”
