“Great atmosphere and staff. I order the steak cooked medium and it was perfection. I'm doing keto and the staff was very willing to swap out items for me. If you are in Burlington, stop here and have a great meal!!”

“My husband and I attended the soft opening and were very impressed. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming and the food was outrageously delicious. It was hard to decide what to order because everything on the menu was my favorite comfort food. Decided on the poutine, my all time favorite. The ingredients were fresh and delicious and beautifully displayed, like a work of art. Loved the whole experience of dining at Deep City and highly recommend it.”

“Serving delicious, economical meals most Fridays that school is in session, the Champlain Cafe is a great choice for lunch! The cafe bases their menus around different holidays and uses seasonal and local ingredients when they can. Lunch consists of a starter, a main and a dessert - all for $7! Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. I'm always happy to support the young students who are actively using the skills that they're learning in their Culinary Arts program.”

“Very good food and chill environment! staff were very nice. I highly recommend the appetizer: Chicken bun! I wish they had a ramen dish that came with salmon, but it can be added on for additional cost!”

“The goat korma is so good! The dumplings were amazing, the sauce that came with them is to die for! A little pricey but they are downtown Burlington. Good service and atmosphere.”

“After walking around this fantastic city, we found El Gato Cantina. Nicely located on the heart of the city. Food was great, our waitress was also the best. Very busy Friday night!”

“Cute brewery with a long, curved bar. A bunch of good brews on tap and an "ask what we have on cask" option as well. Good selection of merchandise and cans-to-go. For a small brewery, there was plenty of space for all. Will be back again next visit to VT.”

“Located on the pedestrian-only Church St in Burlington, this restaurant and pub oozes charm from its pores. There are 3 main rooms, each with it's own Old World feel. We sat in the main Irish Pub room... I loved the look of the bar and the stained glass dividers. I had beer from a VT brewery (the name escapes me now) which was delicious. I also ate one of the best Reubens of my life. My bf got a fantastic, garlicky mac and cheese serves in a hot skillet. Can't give them a perfect score however... the service was a bit lacking. We were checked on only once the entire meal, but there were hardly any other patrons while we were there. That being said I'll definitely give them another chance and be returning next time I'm in northern VT!”

“I really enjoyed the Flight of gin, gin highball, whiskey and whiskey highball. The gin highball was especially good with a local made soda. Great service that knows their product. Tables are good for couples or small groups.”

“Couldn’t ask for more :). Went to the store while I was visiting my family from eastern part of the country and it provided me more than what I needed. Always going back when I’m in town and I would highly recommend anyone looking for Indian/Nepali/Asian stuff and fresh vegetables. Employee friendly and everything a person needs in the store is a plus.”

“Such a great experience. The staff was attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere outside was a real treat. And the food was amazing. I truly recommend the brisket. A must visit when in Burlington.”

“Reading the reviews here it's hard to believe my husband and I had such a poor experience. First of all I will say it's a lovely spot and the live jazz music was wonderful. We eat out often and were excited about the meal. The food though was not so hot and the service was just okay. It took 45 minutes to get our entrees. Those around us were served and leaving and we were still waiting. The sauce on the steak was very sweet and the alcohol was not properly cooked out which made it harsh. My wedge salad had wilted and mushy leaves that were uneatable. My husband was thrilled that they had Ricard and enjoyed it very much. The waitress we had seemed to avoid us and at the end asked if I wanted the rest of my salad wrapped up. I guess it was too dark to see that it was wilted and quite nasty. Hopefully this was a one-off, but we'll not be back.”

“Fantastic restaurant, in downtown Burlington. Truly clever dishes (see the menu photo). Everything we had was well prepared. We shared sliders, brussel sprouts, gnocchi, mac and cheese, steak... and the desserts. For the details, see the menu photos. The atmosphere is nice. But, don't confuse this with anything related to the DC comics Daily Planet... It's completely unrelated. Super friendly service. Will definitely go again. Highly recommended!”

“This place was great! Good selection of different drafts! Can't comment on food as I didn't try any but other's people food looked awesome. The bartender was a super friendly dude. Great service and didn't make me feel like an amateur when I accidentally spilled some beer on the bar.”

“Came in from out of town and couldn't have been happier with this place. Everyone was as friendly as could be. I ordered the Basque breakfast & it was incredibly flavorful. Everyone else at the table loved their food also. Honestly can't say anything negative about the visit.”

“We went to the restaurant with a infant in a stroller. So it got a little congested moving around. But the food made up for everything. The tacos and bowls were very tasty. Even my father in law who has a reserved taste liked the pulled chicken bowl very much. The only thing is that we got just one taco with one order which was surprising since we were expecting more for that price.”

“I ordered the Sizzler after hearing so much about it. I wasn't impressed whatsoever. It is a great serving for 7 dollars but I would not call it the best burger in the state at all. Five guys is honestly better, but if you are really looking for the best in the state I would reccomend Burger Barn in Jeffersonville. Burger was a 6/10.”

“The train ride was so picturesque as we rode through the country side. Beautiful area! The staff was very polite and attentive as they served us our dinner which was very good and a beautiful presentation of plating. It was lacking some bread or rolls with the meal. The only other thing I wish they had was some interaction with the passengers as we rode the tour. Thanks to Green Mountain Railroad for mostly a good evening.”

“This place is INCREDIBLE. Not only is the vibe here extremely cool, the sandwich I had here was unbelievable. I live 7+ hours from here and I've seriously considered making the trip solely to eat at this place. Would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Excellent excellent place to enjoy a really well made unique meal.”

“I stopped to get some water cuz I lost my water bottle on the bike trail. They don't take cards. I was $0.25 short on a bottle of water, but she gave it to me anyway. The owner was so sweet! I'm going to go back and give her a quarter just so I can talk to her again.”
