“We had a delicious meal and drinks at Fancy's! My wife and I went there for dinner on "Opening Night." What a great addition to the Old North End neighborhood. From the minute we walked inside, I appreciated the atmosphere and vibe of the place. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and engaging. There was a nice mix of seating options, from window seats to tables. And the people at the other tables all seemed to be having fun. We were seated immediately and the waitstaff brought us glasses of "spa water." The menu was well-balanced with small, medium, and large plates. Our appetizers and drinks came out quickly. The mocktails and cocktails were unique and refreshing. Each dish we got was a work of art. My personal favorite item was the grape leaves. For dessert, we had a piece of cake and creemee twists. Although coffee is not on the menu, the bartender David went out of his way and kindly brewed me a cup to go along with our treats. The desserts were an absolute showstopper. I ended up getting a second piece of cake to go. Since our meal at Fancy's, I keep thinking about what I'm going to get next time. I look forward to going there again for dinner, but I can also imagine myself popping by for a drink or grabbing a creemee with the neighborhood families. Fancy's was an absolute hit!!”

“Fantastic atomosphere, and the food is just absolutely insane. It was the best sandwich I've had in the last few years for certain. I ordered "the Ruby" which was as amazing as it sounds and was happy to see a vegan option! The bread is top tier and really makes the sandwich. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. My only complaint is I wish they were open more hours or on the weekend for all us weekly 9-5 workers. Can't wait to go here again.”

“Probably one of the best fried chicken in BTV! You can order online, thru the kiosk or the counter. Ordered an 8 piece fried chicken. Took about 15 minutes which was not bad. Chicken was good, crispy and juicy! They have variety of sauce for the chicken but it is in a small container(not enough for an 8 piece!). Luckily the chicken is good enough that it doesn’t need any sauce.”

“If you have not yet been to Magic Chopstick at the bottom of St. Paul Street, you have got to try their beef Lanzhou noodle soup and beef tendons in chili oil. OMG the hot broth outside in the cold is amazing. They have indoor seating of course but I wanted to eat hot soup outside and the weather is perfect. The broth is so full of flavor and warms the soul. The beef is so tender. The noodles are so soft. The beef tendons in the chili sauce is also amazing. It's got a little bit of kick to it. As someone who is weak to spicy food this is the perfect level for me. The owner did bring out a jar of chili oil in case I needed it, but I am not the kind of Asian who can tolerate slice well so I i am enjoying it as is. They also have bubble tea which is delicious. They also have soup dumplings which I will definitely get next time.”

“I honestly didn't know what to expect. I was not a particular fan of Indian and Nepali cuisine but I am now. This place blew my mind. Every dish we ordered was spectacular. There were so many options but each item seemed to be so thoughtfully crafted. The sauces and the flavors were divine and the food itself didn't seem too salty. The food got to our table quickly. The basmati rice was perfect and the noodles of my vegan chow mein were amazing. I will say the food may be spicier than you might expect - even medium spicy was pretty hot for me. The prices were far lower than expected and the food was worth every penny. The inside of the restaurant was interesting and unorthodox and might even deter some folks but I can assure you the food was so incredible it did not matter. Can't wait to get food from here again and will likely try takeout next.”

“I am a REGULAR at the Spot at Hula & I’ve been impressed with their quality of food/service since the start of my membership! I’ve always loved their other locations, but I actually think this one is the BEST. The food is incredible delicious, the portions are perfect, they have tons of options & really stellar specials that use local offerings. The staff has always been lovely & the atmosphere is truly top notch. You might as well be having lunch at Venice Beach! The music / playlist vibes also brighten up my day each time. Plus! You can online order ahead & get a text when it’s ready which is PERFECT for those busy meeting days! My only complaint is that I wish they had takeout containers (which I believe they don’t do for environmental reasons) & that I wished they were open longer 🤣 highly recommend!”

“We enjoyed the food and the service. My wife and I brought our two young children here for dinner. The food was delicious. The staff all went out of their way to be welcoming and kind to our kids. There's no kids' menu, but our kids devoured the Picadillo and the Tofu Plate. My wife said the Buffalo Cauliflower "Wings" were her favorite. I got the sliders and the Coconut Flan. The flavors and textures all just hit right. None of us are vegan or even vegetarians. We're already making plans to visit again with some friends.”

“Came on Christmas Eve, and got the maple cola with vanilla ice cream. Maple was really smooth, not over powered by the ice cream. Haven't had a soda for ages and this got the spot. This is the perfect place for great mixed drinks and non-alcoholic drinks for those of us who have poor tolerance 🤣 We didn't get to experience it but heard this has live music most nights, karaoke Sundays, themed music nights. Sounds like a great place to relax, listen to music (never can have too many live music spots), in a really intimate spot and be able to escape the back to back bars in the rest of Burlington. Can't wait to come back for the music”

“Amazing vegan food. I brought my breakfast Sammy to the beach along with a green smoothie. Food kept me full and energized through my morning. Staff was super friendly. My one complaint is the music inside was too loud when I was ordering.”

“Ever since the online ordering they have always gotten the order right and on time. I go about once a week as a treat to myself or if I am on my way out of Burlington. I recommend taking a look at the system and ordering since it it easy, has plenty of options (what does a triple toast look like?), and easy to do from a phone, but I tend to just do it on my laptop. Nice little spot since the cheapest gas in town is across the street and I get a slushy with my bagel... Can't recommend enough and go Everything (toasted) with the Maple Walnut cream cheese!!! M”

“SO DARN GOOD! Best kabob in the northeast. All fresh all organic. You can tell how much consideration the chef puts in to his dishes. Plus the chef created his own mobile outdoor kitchen that you just have to see.”

“Went there with my wife to try some whiskeys we hadn't had. It was surprisingly loud in there. Very busy. We were expecting a quiet place. Not really an issue though. We had 2 neat pours of whiskey each, no food. The bill was $130. Our server was obviously new, and was perhaps a bit overwhelmed, but very nice. I would like to try again when it's not crazy so I can get a better feel for the environment.”

“This place is one of the most magical food experiences I’ve ever had. I was in Burlington three summers ago and stumbled upon this wonderful place and had a delicious meal here. I went back to my home state of Ohio, I moved to California for two years, and I still thought of and fondly remembered Zabby and Elf’s Stone Soup, even though I had been there only once. Luckily, my partner and I took a trip to Vermont this week and we ate here twice in that time. The ambiance, the staff, the food, the decor. Everything just makes you feel cozy and happy. The food is so comforting and you can just tell that so much love has gone into this business. I am very sad to be leaving Vermont in general, but extra sad to leave this gem of a place behind once again. I will always come back here when I am visiting!”

“Came here at the advice of our waitress at dinner. We were looking for a bar that was more of a local bar that had the hockey game on. This place was awesome. Bartenders were great, wasn’t expensive and was down to earth. Met some great people at the bar and pool table. This is a “dive bar” I’ll always come back to when in town.”

“I've been getting sushi here for over 4 years and it's the best around. Their food is consistently high quality, and the amount of sushi you receive per roll is generous. The rice is perfectly cooked, and the fish matches that same standard. However, I would not only recommend this spot for its food, but also for the quality of service. Consistently kind and thoughtful staff. If you're looking to get some lunch on your work break, or an evening meal to share with friends, this is the place to go. You will not regret it!”

“Surprisingly good Thai place! It's buried in the back of the alley and we got there while it was still empty. I enjoyed the Pad Thai Grilled Chicken (kind of like a Katsu), and my wife had the Mango Curry.”
