“We enjoyed our time. The two.of us, being moderately hungry, split a large pie and had two pieces left. Very flavorful. Our waitress was kind, informative and helpful. The on tap local beer was great. I'm not a fan of IPA and there were several solid non-IPA choices. We liked the lightly smoke tinged atmosphere from the Woodfired oven. The dining area is not well lot which is nice. But if your vision is waning as ours is, don't forget your readers!!”

“We had dinner at the bar last night. So glad a friend recommended it because with construction around that area we would not have come upon it. The pasta was so fresh as was the sauce... The service was great. Franco the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend Delia’s..,,”

“All I can say is we ate here the evening prior to dropping our daughter off for her first year of college. We showed up somber, looking for a food pick me up. Sotto Enoteca "hit it out of the park!" From the marinated artichokes to the homemade pasta, it was all fantastic! Our standards were a bit high, as we just returned from a family trip to Italy. This little gem DID NOT disappoint. We'll be back!”

“This restaurant and bar is stunningly beautiful inside. The drinks are stiff, the sevice was above average, and the food was thoughtful and delicious. Its within walking distance of waterfront park and church st... next time you're seeing the sights in Burlington stop in. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in town.”

“Last year when were were passing through Burlington Vt, we (Kids and me) stopped at this restaurant since my daughter was gluten free. So this year when we were vacationing around Burlington we stopped there again. This time it was a busy Saturday night. I forgot to call ahead and make reservation. I explained this to the person behind the counter and was going to place an order to go. After waiting a bit he came back to me and said he could seat us as long as we didn't stay longer then an hour and half. WE gladly sat and ate. Besides delicious pizza the staff was incredible. Service was quick and friendly. Thanks again for your excellent service. Will always be a loyal customer when traveling in the area.”

“Maudite Poutine has the best late night poutine in Vermont! It's in the space where Magnolia used to be along with Orlando's bar and Lounge so you can drink, sit and eat. Great restaurant addition to Burlington!”

“We ate on a Sunday and enjoyed their Sunday dinner special (salad, steak/veg/potato, dessert - $35). Server (Isabel) was pleasant and attentive. Food was good if not great. Steak was juicy if not particularly tender, and came out cooked just as ordered. Ambience is cozy and classy. Restaurant was empty while we were there. Might be a little cramped on a busy night. Overall recommended as a spot to try out, worked well for a date night. Nice wine selection.”

“Very impressed with this restaurant! My girlfriend and I were looking in the window and a passerby said “Best restaurant in Burlington.” So, with that endorsement we went in and had lunch. We both had the lunch special which was very reasonably priced and very tasty. Also very authentic. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms tidy. What really capped it off was that I accidentally left my credit card there. I don’t live nearby so going back to get it wasn’t an option. I figured I'd have to cancel my card, but, to my surprise, they were willing to mail it to me. They certainly didn’t have to do that, so the fact that they took the time to do that was outstanding! Great place and great people, will be back next time I’m in Burlington.”

“Farm to table concept with deliciously crafted menu. They make great use of their fire grill and pay incredible attention to detail when preparing each meal. Of course everything we had was exquisite. My favorite dining experience in Burlington.”

“This is an icon in Burlington, Vt. Its under new ownership. Good, greasy, fried food. Good portions, friendly, good prices & its at a park. Its usually busy during "feeding hours"! Ive been going here for years. Parking is very limited, but you can walk to it from downtown Burlington.”

“Great location, friendly and attentive staff! Food was decent compared to the snack bar level of burgers, offering healthier options like salads and a veggie burger. A good small variety of drink options. Decent or expected drink prices for on the beach location or those of us who are used to New York City pricing, might be a bit high for some locals. Only downsides for us was some of the music selection was annoying and the salads could use better quality mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce. Overall a great experience and great idea to be placed right on the beach!”

“Mike was an excellent seasoned waiter. Scallops appetizer and chowder were both delicious. Many times squid ink pasta is hit or miss but this was melt in your mouth fabulous, served as frutti de mar with saffron butter. Wine list was fair and not over priced. Overall a great experience which made the last day of our trip even better!”

“Everyone raves about August First and I can see why. It's in a beautiful part of town and the inside is stunning. The high ceilings make for an airy dining area. There are tables outside. The menu is impressive. What I did love was the coffee and my wife enjoyed her maple biscuit. However, I ordered eggs and potatoes and it was not good. The eggs were dried out and the potatoes flavorless for having herbs on them. If we were to go again, I'd just order coffee.”

“If you don’t want to read this whole review, just know that you should head to Poco soon! To start, the layout is great. The dining area feels very open, yet cozy at the same time. There’s a wonderful mix of seating options, including the bar, high top tables, and bench seats. I also heard that they’re working on setting up some outdoor seating which will be perfect for the summer. There’s a large menu board right near the register where you order and while you won’t find a huge list of items to choose from, there’s a nice mix of options that should satisfy just about everyone. While I expect crowd pleasers like the fried chicken sandwich will be around most of the time, the menu will change based on seasonal availability which is a great reason to head back for another meal. On my first visit I had the truffle fries, which are cut “shoestring” style. They were crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside and the truffle wasn’t overdone. I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich that had just the right amount of heat and spice, balanced by a honey drizzle and pickled veggies. To finish, I couldn’t pass up the butterscotch pudding with smoked whipped cream and graham cracker crumble. It was amazing! Poco is a great addition to the downtown Burlington food scene and I’m very much looking forward to my next visit.”

“The vibe here is great once you walk in. The locals love it. Its conveniently right next to the water. Got a strong college place feel to it. Workers are friendly and open to offer suggestions. The food is a mixed bag. To my discerning out of town palate, my spin-art dip was was a little too garlicky. And i love garlic. The chips are pieces of fried crepe were a disappointment. I'm used to it being lighter, these were brick hard. Some were stale. To my teenager, this was great and perfect. Her cheese burger was on point and so was the pesto crepe. Price for 4 including iced tea was $52 with tip.”

“Generally good food here, and a nice alternative to some of the University's other offerings. Hey regularly attend for some of the Indian-style curry is offered there. I would say usually the food there is fairly high-quality, but not exactly top-notch at the same time. A good deal for what you pay for it.”

“Free parking and Wifi with indoor and outdoor seating with great views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. Great sandwiches, hot entrees, salads made to order plus made ahead/to go items. You can order regular hot and cold beverages but also beer and wine to go with your meal. My husband is a maple creemee hunter and pronounced the one he ate as exceptional- smooth and brightly maple. There is also a VT liquor licensed shop with great selection.”
