“Great food ! Definitely stop by here ? Experience: Stopped here for some breakfast food today. Didn't know what to expect , nice from the exterior and even nicer in the interior. Friendly staff , average prices. Our food came out perfectly. We decided to try their "bacon egg and cheese croissant" also their "sugar shack crepe" For our beverage we had milk with our meal , also a hot chocolate, and the wife had lemonade... all very good. The croissant came with a pesto style mayonnaise so if you love pesto then this is the place to be . We had such a great experience here and the food was perfect. Nice work " Skinny Pancake " would love to stop by and try something else on their menu if in the area. I would definitely recommend you stop here for some good breakfast or lunch. Thanks for checking out my review and have a super day! ??”

“My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Café on Main. We placed an online to-go order for breakfast and lunch. I made a request to wrap the lunch sandwiches tightly as we would be carrying them with us on a hike of Mt Mansfield. We were met with not only phenomenal sandwiches, but personalized notes that made our day. We highly recommend Café on Main and will continue to visit on our trips to Stowe.”

“My expectations were set at about medium considering how high my standard is for authentic Asian food. Umami in Stowe ranked high, VERY high! I was very pleasantly surprised. Well done, Umami. Will be back for more.”

“Nicely prepared dishes and drinks in a beautiful, dining space, we had a wonderful dinner the other night. The artichoke and Parmesan dip was a delicious starter and the baked stuffed haddock and scallop dishes were prepared to perfection. Service was quite attentive--a very enjoyable evening.”

“Hard to beat with great cross country skiing, snow showing and down hill skiing all on site or nearby. A bit of old Austrian flavor to their decor, certainly their history, and of course their fine restaurant. Affiliated Brew house serves their superb craft beers and fine versions of Austrian traditional foods. Very helpful and just plain nice staff. Its hard to be perfect but they came close for a great winter long weekend. We will be back!”

“Great food and presentation. Somewhat awkward entrance from parking lot down a semi hidden path that leads you by the indoor pool. All in all would recommend. Great food very reasonably priced.”

“I travel extensively and enjoy fine dining. My meal this evening was superb. I've eaten at several Stowe fine dining establishments and Edson Hill is the best of the lot. The wine list is on the thin side but adequate.”

“This place is like taking a step back in time! Everything was clean and beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Felt like a guest in their home. Would recommend to anyone, any time of year!”

“Wow, can't believe it took us over 15 years to find this spot. Tony and Patty are just so friendly, gracious and genuine. We sat at the bar and within 5 minutes we were made to feel like we had been coming there for years. The food was fresh, homemade and delicious. The salad dressing is also homemade and is light and tasty. The main courses are large portions and so reasonably priced especially for Stowe. Patty makes all the desserts and they are so yummy. They had only met us that one time and when we returned for our second visit that week they remembered us and welcomed us by name, and even remembered our drink orders. That is certainly something that does not happen too often. I can't say enough about this establishment. It will definitely be our go to Stowe spot in the future.”

“I celebrated my birthday here, loved the local beer selection. Only recommendations I would say they need more seating and tables. However, the staff was nice and food was good.”

“The food and service were impeccable. We only stopped for an appetizer and ended up going 3 nights in a row for dinner. They were perfect with our food allergies. I would highly recommend them again and again. Absolutely amazing food. Not a single bad bite!”

“You need to try this place, it’s that good. Hands down one of THE best places to go in Stowe. You will be amazed how good the food is! The chef is an artist combining Latin and Asian flavors. You are in for a real treat. Best food and drinks in Stowe! Cocktails that are out of this world paired with food that blows your mind. Wow.”

“Came in with my wife and 4 kids for dinner after a 6 hour drive (Kingston, Ontario). We were seated promptly, suggestions given, orders taken. Food came out in reasonable time, hot, delicious, steak cooked perfectly on the surf and turf feature and whoever cleaned the mussels bravo. Working in the hospitality industry you know certain things to watch for. Great job front of house and kitchen. We will be back for sure.”

“We liked this place very much. It is a little bit in the middle of nowhere, which gives its charm. Food was very good and the tables are not squeezed together. Fair price with a kids menu option too.”

“Love this bar!! Had to visit to see if it was like Bert's back home. This is an Irish pub owned by a very nice Colombian woman named Janet. Whenever you're in the area swing in for a cold drink, good food and fun people. Take time to read all the sayings that dot the walls. They are funny and some are a bit thought provoking.”

“Stopped here on my lunch break because I was in the area and looking for a great sandwich place. I’m very glad I came here because they definitely made me want to come back afterwards. The sandwich was fantastic and a perfect portion, and the lady at the register was very nice and helpful. I plan to return the next time I’m in town!”

“The food was delicious, I had the Stromboli which was really tasty with all the spices and it was melt in your mouth. Such a beautiful view on the patio. The service was fine, he did forget our drinks a couple times which was odd. It didn't seem busy enough for that to happen. If you plan on coming with 6 or more be aware the 15 or 18% gratuity will be added to your bill.”

“Gorgeous dining room, very large & cool outdoor seating with an outdoor bar. Great beers, love that they offer flights. I got the cheese ale soup which was divine! The chicken wings were good, i just prefer when the sauce is cooked into the meat and not so wet. The pretzel is HUGE and has such a cool presentation, enough for three to share. Great service.”

“Wanted to find a toddler friendly restaurant and decided to try this place out. The place does burgers, fries and onion rings. My husband and I each got a burger and shared some curly fries. Our son got a small order of fries all to himself. Everyone enjoyed their food and it's a kid friendly place with indoor and outdoor seating. We'll definitely come back again.”

“My husband wanted some sushi for lunch so we decided to try this place out. My husband had their chirashi and I got their sushi meal. Our son is a picky eater but seemed to enjoy their egg roll and spring roll. The food was good but a little expensive. Our server was very nice and accommodating to our toddler's needs. This place seems to be kid friendly since I saw another family with a little one there as well.”

“Dutch Pancake Cafe is a wonderful gem in the heart of Stowe! I’d say going is a quintessential part of the Stowe experience. We headed up for a group ski trip this winter and made it to the Dutch Pancake Cafe around 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Much to our delight, we were the only ones there and could put in our order right away! If you’re looking to avoid long weekend waits, you should 100% go on Friday. Our waiter let us take a table right by the fireplace and was happy to answer our questions about Dutch Pancakes and make any modifications we needed to. He was super friendly, welcoming, and great at attending on us to see if we needed anything from refills to more food. I got the Dutch Pancake which scrambled eggs substituted in for bacon, and the showstopper pancake my friend got was called “The Nutty.” You can’t go wrong with sweet or savory so you should definitely bring a bunch of friends and share so you can try as many as you can! Everyone was left feeling pleased, happy, and full after a long morning of driving all the way up to Vermont.”

“We've gone to the Deep End twice, and are already planning to go again. As other reviewers have mentioned, they're still figuring things out, but the excellent food and cool, bright, modern atmosphere make up for it. The pizzas are fresh and excellent overall—the cheese pizza had just the right flavor and ratios, and the Woodsman was unique and top-notch—and the salads did the job, though they were quite large for one person. Even though they're quite new, they handled food allergies in our group with ease—no egg in the pizza, yay! The staff were generally pleasant and always helpful. Now, the "continue to improve" bits, which are mostly minor: - Service was a bit inconsistent—salads and pizza came at the same time the first time we went (somewhat improved upon the next time, but still too long a wait on the salads and too quickly followed up with pizza), and each time our servers were nowhere to be seen for a couple 5-10 minute periods. - The sunlight is blinding at many of the tables every evening, and they have no shades on the main top windows. Maybe they should hand out eye protection, or install some shades. - They could use some clearer marketing. Before we went, we thought it was only poolside seating. Nope, there's an indoor seating area!”

“The hotel over all was nice, however there was no way to turn the heat on and a large gap under the door, making it quite cold. No extra blankets to help. Nice to have a mini fridge. The restaurant was great. Hard to turn in early however because of the blaring music. If you need to get up early I'd recommend you booking a room in the main building.”

“It appears that this is now called The Nest, at least the sign on the door says that. It's in the Golden Eagle resort complex. Regardless, it's a wonderful place to eat. We had breakfast, which was fantastic. We both had the Mountaineer, which is a fresh egg omelet with in -season veggies, Vermont cheese and it also had pesto. The pesto may not always be available but if it is, get it. It was soooo tasty! The wait staff was awesome as well, with great suggestions and friendly chatting.”
