“Excellent sandwiches. I had a little trouble getting service, they were very busy. Plan for a little delay, the sandwiches are worth it.”

“This place is seriously the best I've had in Richmond, everything is ready in under 10 minutes and it always is hot, crispy, and excellent. (I recommend the crispy beef it's amazing). You get a pretty big portion for what you pay for and I've tried many places and the flavors are always off, but everything I've had here is delicious. She is NOT rude... Seriously why don't you try being bilingual and not only having to learn two languages but also learn the formalities of "politeness" on top of basic communication? I think they are actually very kind as they gave me complimentary fresh, hot donuts and the sweetest thank you note. Give them a chance!”

“Hip atmosphere and excellent food. It’s great for a special occasion or to step up your date night since it’s a little expensive. It would be a fun place to meet for drinks. The service was great. We ordered octopus and duck. Both where cooked well and very flavorful. The duck was served on a scallion pancake. It was one of the best things I’ve eaten. They have coat check. I love places with coat check. Looking forward to going back and trying the chef’s tasting menu. It looks like it would be a very fun experience. Update: recently went for brunch. It was fantastic. The food, cocktails, and service are unbeatable. Thinking about making it our regular brunch spot.”

“Great pizzeria. The pizza was good but similar to every other shopping center/strip mall Italian place. The garlic Knots however seemed hand made and were garlicky buttery deliciousness. Service was awesome. I am willing to try more of thier food.”

“The Franklin Inn is a great neighborhood restaurant. The food is always good, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. You should be aware that the place is rather small, with only about 9 tables inside and 3 outside. There are also about 10 seats at the bar, which are typically occupied by regular patrons.”

“Came here for dinner with my friends and was blown away at the level of service and the quality of the food. Grisette has only been open a few weeks but runs like a well-oiled machine. The interior is clean and minimalist, given character by whimsical mismatched china and gorgeous glassware. Our server, Lo was amazing. She knew the menu inside and out, made awesome recommendations, and was so kind. She truly embodies the spirit of hospitality, and I’m glad she’s here at Grisette instead of on a runway somewhere (because she could be. She’s stunning!) Everything we got, from the tart to the sea island pea dish, was delicious. I was so impressed at the food quality, especially for the price, and loved the seasonal, everything-made-in-house menu selections. My only qualm is, it’s a little loud, so if you have hearing difficulties, try to come earlier in the evening before it gets busy. Thank you Grisette! We’ll be back for sure.”

“I visited Southern Railway this evening after a work event at a nearby hotel. I was looking for a good tap list and decent food, and this place exceeded my expectations. The draft beers included plenty to appease any snobs who pop in, and the wine list, mixed drinks, and bottled offerings would make anyone else happy. They were juggling a couple of large parties, but I was still tended to with speed and a positive attitude as I sat at the bar. I stopped in as happy hour was winding down, so I ordered the pretzel appetizer (half price!), and it was tasty enough. The beer cheese wasn't conducive to dipping, but I applied it to my pretzel with a knife, and I really enjoy the flavors. I also ordered a shrimp wrap and fries, and they were both good, too. I especially appreciated that they were served piping hot. All in all, this was a positive experience, and I'll look forward to returning to Southern Railway whenever I'm staying nearby.”

“Upon arrival, we were seated outside.. OK great.Jessy(?) our server promptly took our drink order- I ordered a bottle of Merlot while my husband got a beer. After delivering our drinks, Jessy rushes us to get our appetizer, he was also anxious to get our dinner order- I politely asked him if we could have a few more minutes.”

“Service is good and the food is good. Their daily lunch specials are good. Portion sizes are just right for a guy that likes to eat. Environment is nice, you can sit inside or outside. Parking is tough, you have to park in a lot and walk to the restaurant. I have eaten their tacos, quesadillas and burrito in a bowl and all have been very good.”

“Service is great, owner is extremely polite and is always looking out for the customer. If you're looking for a quiet place to have a drink or a meal this is a great place for that. Also they have GREAT specials for food and drinks!!!! Example: On Fridays it's $10.99 for a large pizza with fries! And then happy hour is half priced drinks 3pm-6pm”

“My server was excellent, 5. She was the only one on her side. She was courteous even though she was busy. Even the bar side was busy and the bartender was excellent, 5. I'm giving a 3 because of lack of respect from the manager, watched a customer walk out and he was rude. It was Chicken Wing Day. Oh yeah, the wings were still good, 5.”

“I recently spent a wonderful evening here for my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. We had the place to ourselves, including the outdoor patio on either side of the entrance way steps as well as the bar. The food and drinks were great and the service was impeccable, and it was a nice change to observe the street scene from above. The adjacent (pay) parking lot was very welcome, making the trip downtown much easier than expected.”

“A very popular breakfast/brunch spot in Richmond. I'd try and make a reservation so you can avoid long waits. We had pretty good service and my food was excellent. I ordered the chicken and red velvet waffles. The chicken was very good. It's seasoned very well and very juicy. If you're struggling on what to order you can't go wrong with that.”
