“I can’t go back to the life I lived before having this food. To think that I thought I was happy before that beef kabob touched my tongue is nuts. How the rice be fire, too? I wanna bathe in the baklava honey. And the kindness from the guy who took our order and prepared our food was unmatched. Unfortunately, my pockets just gone have to understand because I’m now a loyal customer.”

“Very nice family restaurant. The service was a bit slow, but they were getting a lot of GrubHub orders, so I can't fault them. It's a pleasant little breakfast place and well worth a stop if you're in the area. The food came out hot and delicious and the prices are the lowest I've seen in Richmond. The server was very kind and attentive when he wasn't busy with the delivery drivers.”

“DELICIOUS! Customer service was excellent. We ordered everything on the menu, then took it home and all tried it (jk the fries were eaten--by me--in the car ride home). Everything was a hit. The cauli mash was my favorite (it actually tastes like POTATOES--what is this magic?) and would be perfect paired with the crispy chicken sandwich, but there was nothing anyone didn't like. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who eats keto!”

“It’s good. It’s really good. I’m a dad of 4 and have another on the way. I’m always getting take out it seems. I picked enough food for my family and I saved almost half of what I usually spend. Food was HOT, well prepared and ready to go in a relatively short time. Will be back.”

“My wife and I LOVE mac and cheese. We got married on National Mac and Cheese day. We collect mac and cheese cookbooks, and try our hand at cooking fancy mac and cheeses. And we occasionally go on road-trips, specifically to try out mac and cheese restaurants in other states. It may seem a little cheesy (haha) but it's a pretty fun way to experience how other people interpret a deceptively simple dish while visiting new states. We had the good fortune to try out BigWife's Mac n' Cheese on their first day of business. While their brick-and-mortar location wasn't fully ready, they had a food truck parked outside, preparing their dishes. Each one was expertly done! The Classic Mac was practically a love letter to White Cheddar. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was thick, and creamy, and beautifully cheesy. The Mac Lorraine had delightful chunks of bacon in there, with a Gruyère cheese sauce that perfectly complemented the bacon, and the mixed-in scallions imparted a subtly oniony bite that cut the richness of the rest of the dish. Some places make Mac and Cheese, because it's a simple dish to do an adequate job with. And some places make Mac and Cheese because they absolutely love the dish. BigWife's Mac n' Cheese is clearly the latter, and I wish them all the best. I only wish you were opening closer to us!”

“These tacos were GOOD! Was pretty close to an authentic Mexico taco like the few handfuls worth I've tried down in Mexico.. Definitely a good place to go on a date. They were passing out the 3 fancy margarita "tasters" and other fancy drinks like hot cakes. If you are trying to have a quiet dinner though this may not be the place, the metal walls seem to amplify things, it is not quiet at all once it gets filled up. Either way food was great!”

“Strong market with great made-to-order salads, sandwiches and takeaway prepared foods. More than a sandwich place, Market on Meadow is a really nice complement to the other restaurant options you begin to find as you work your way south on Meadow into The Fan. I ordered the Soprano, their Italian sub, and it was fantastic. I will be back to try more of their menu very soon.”

“I ordered the jambalaya rice. Very good with a hint of spicy. Cashing out wasn’t great. My food cost $4.99 and I gave the cashier $6. He handed me a quarter and a nickel back. I know tax isn’t $.70 but he was on the phone haggling a deal with someone and I was in a hurry.”

“Don't skip this place!!! I don't know what the one star reviews are talking about. Gorgeous girls!! I got three dances from 2 different girls, one was in the downstairs private room. I had an amazing time and I definitely will be back!!!”

“The food was very very good! I had fried chicken with yams and greens(the veggies are cooked without meat)my mom had the liver and onions with yams. She said the liver was cooked to perfection. The yams OMG! the yams... 😋, the fried chicken was so good, the inside was juicy even the breast and the outside was crunchy, awesomeness, and the greens were quite tasty. The ice tea was really really good, couldn't get enough of that. Considering we were with my son's College track team, we were all served in a very timely fashion. Oh yeah, the cornbread that's bought to the table makes you wanna smack your momma! The cornbread was also freaking amazing. Good place to eat so if you're in Richmond and want some good home food it's definitely a good choice.”

“Nice atmosphere. I had the Hawaiian burger (i did have to specify temperature or else it comes well done) which was pretty good. I enjoy Cajun seasoning so I was in heaven. Hopefully, as time goes, the menu expands more but definitely a nice vibe with great potential to be a staple in the shockoe bottom area.”

“Absolutely above and beyond service. They forgot to record my drink order initially and then went out of their way to correct their mistake making a free drink and offering us a punch card for a free drink in the future. Staff is friendly and accommodating for all types of diets and dietary restrictions. Gotta try the beef hash!! 😋”

“We grab it everytime we are near. Personal favoritea the beef vindaloo and dal, but I've had the veggie curry and tikka masala and enjoyed as well. The only place you can find English take on Indian in RVA, and never disappoints!”

“This place really impressed me! I got hot wings and cheese fries. The wings were juicy with a really rich, spicy flavor to the sauce. The cheese fries were crispy with good coverage of cheese sauce. Service was very professional and courteous. All-in-all, this place earned each one of these five stars. I'm excited for this place and hope it is here to stay!”

“I came for the soft opening, and everything was AMAZING! My favorite dish was the West African Seafood Pot 🤤. The cocktails were creative and good pours. I had the Manchester Old Fashion and I was feeling great. And finally, i was told to try the Blueberry Shortcake by a woman leaving the restaurant and I don’t question Black women (and neither should you). Of course, it was bomb. I’ll definitely back!”

“Was hesitant due to the reviews, but really glad that we went. Service was a little slow at times-I think that’s there was a language barrier with the server. However, all food came out correctly. I noticed that when it got pretty busy, one of the owners came out to help. My food was unexpectedly fantastic and very fresh. We dined on the rooftop, and the ambiance was great! Will definitely return.”

“If you are looking for an extraordinary restaurant in Richmond, visit Cocodrilo! The upscale atmosphere, attentive and plentiful staff and overall vibe is just amazing! The food is presented well, very creative with many flavor combinations. Nothing plain here. We enjoyed the an app of crispy blue corn chips with a trio of tasty and addicting salsas, mains of flounder & shrimp special, the gnocchi with mushroom and greens, and delectable churro donuts with chocolate sauce for dessert. The comfortable, colorful decor is fun and welcoming, from the outdoor space in front , murals on the walls, the velvet settee grouping around a large fireplace inside. Glad to have this new restaurant in Richmond!!”

“Wonderful new foodie spot in town! My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves. We ordered two drinks that were delicious (bit too much ice to drink ratio. . . but they were well made). The guacamole was excellent as were the two tacos I ordered. You can mix and match and I tried the fish taco and the rib meat and both were very tasty. The service was fast and friendly. We will return again!”
