I stopped at a Wendy's and got my fork but the "buddy" stuff they should cut out. I call my daughter and my grandkids "buddy". It feels strange when a kid probably half my age calls me that.”

“Best vegan food ever!!!! After looking for two long years, a true vegan place has opened! Every item on their menu is suburb, but I’d have to say the rib tip citrus sub or BBQ wings are by far the most mind blowing. They also do desserts when they make them and have specials! This place is literal heaven if you’re vegan, vegetarian, or even just trying it out! 100% recommend bringing your non veg friends and blowing their minds as well!”

Awful Arthur's Seafood Company

“Love this place. My daughter and I come here every time we are in Roanoke VA. Never had a bad time. We get the crab legs and pulled pork nachos. This is the only place we have eaten at that we have never had a bad crab leg, they all crack perfectly and the meat never sticks to the shells. We try to eat here at least once every 2-3 months and usually end up spending $100-150 each visit, we get lots of crab legs. In fact we will be eating there this weekend at least once.”

Alexander's

Address: 105 S Jefferson St, Roanoke, VA 24011, USA

Restaurant

“We live in Charleston S.C. where we have many fine restaurants available and have eaten at many. We were up in the area last weekend for my daughters Grad school graduation. I had asked my son to find a nice restaurant for us to celebrate the occasion. He said he chose Alexander’s because it had a great rating and looked nice. I want to say from the moment we arrived until we left our visit was perfect. The service was outstanding, the food was thoughtfully well presented and more importantly everything we ate was delicious. The soft shell crab was one of the best we have had. The wait staff was attentive without being overly so. Quiet and helpful. The restaurant is elegant and intimate...the bathrooms/kitchen are well situated away from dining area. Kudos to Alexander’s. If we lived in Roanoke we would be regulars. Thank you for making a special occasion a memorable one.”

Cancun Mexican Restaurant & Grill

Address: 215 Market St SE, Roanoke, VA 24011, USA

Restaurant

“Excellent service and Mexican food. It’s convenient because it’s downtown where I work. I love their chicken fajitas here at Cancun. Their buffet is also very good and it’s cheap. Just one thing. I generally stop in here and eat alone because I’m on my lunch breaks and sometimes when I eat here my boyfriend is out of town because he travels for his work. The last time I came, I was sitting enjoying the buffet alone and the waiter walked over and asked “hey, do you have a boyfriend”? I said “yes” and the waiter asked “are you sure?” Then he said “you’re always alone”. I was actually pretty embarrassed and felt quite uncomfortable being asked if I was sure I had a boyfriend. That’s actually a very rude thing to ask if I’m sure I have a boyfriend. Of course I am sure I have a boyfriend, why would I tell a lie about that? We have been together for 5 years! Maybe I’ll bring him next time I stop in to prove his existence. I hope Cancun doesn’t doubt other customers and ask them such questions because if they do, it will start to hurt their business. It’s rude.”
