“It would be a 5 star review, because I am trying to be fair. I had some chocolate chip pancakes which were okay, my Companion had combo #3 eggs, 3 sausages patties, hash browns and toasts which were okay too. The service was not good, the waitress in our section deliberately ignore us all the time , she would serve the near tables and just pass by our table. I think the owner took care of us, and because of This I am giving 3 stars otherwise I would give -1 if I could. Do it to me, not to a veteran who served this country .”

“Beautiful scenery but the golf course was in rough condition. Greens were actually pretty good, so for that reason I would possibly play it again (?!). But the fairways were terrible. I don't know if it was because of a drought, maintenance issues, or just your typical mountain course struggles. They were all punched and bare as could be - for the price they charge I expected better condition. The layout is ok, not a whole lot of design to the golf course and everything is bunched into a small property but they make the best use of the surroundings with the mountains in the backdrop.”

But it is also a small restaurant and oh, mercy!, their traditional dishes are the best in Roanoke. By a wide margin. I had two beef enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice has a different flavor than I'm used to, but was still tasty. My partner had the Saturday beef burrito special. It'll feed two easily and was wonderful without being too spicy. They're homemade red and green sauces speak for themselves. Literally. Take a break from the usual and try Tacos Rojas!”

“I googled this place while traveling with my employer. And it was GREAT!! I had the oxtails with rice and beans and jamaican cabbage, coco bread and a beef paddy and it reminded me of the Islands. The oxtails are so tender and mouth watering. Also, the customer service was better than most of these big chain restaurants. I would definitely recommend Island Jerk. Thank you for feeding my soul.”

“It's not a full size Popeyes but by and large seems to have the same menu, food was awesome as always, staff friendly and even though we had to wait, they brought it out to our table when ready, don't see that often... As I mentioned before in my previous post on TA truck stop, even though this Popeyes is inside the TA, on the first exit on North I-77, it is easy access to I-81 North or South... And you don't have all the madness of cars and trucks at all the fuel/food stops on the section of I-77 South/I-81 North shared roadway. I-77 South is at Mile Marker 81 from I-81 North and South... Might sound confusing, but look at your GPS or map and you will understand... Enjoy..!!”

“I go here regularly. I can't help it. They sprinkle their gravy with crack it something. Their ginormous biscuits are fluffy on the inside and buttery crisp on the outside! And they have gravy, slightly peppery hot and delicious. The fried green tomatoes are perfect with a delicate, crispy batter, not soggy or doughy at all. The problem is that I get so excited when the food arrives, I completely forget to snap a photo!!! Really? The cashiers and servers are pleasant and helpful. In fact, several different workers offered me a coffee or water while I waited on the arrival of my friends. Exceptional friendly service with consistently superior food! Also, it's worth the drive up curb side service and delivery options!!!! Did I mention they have gravy?”

“We stopped here on our first ever trip to Roanoke back in September of 2018. We now live in Roanoke and and have eaten here several times. Hands down the best Indian we have EVER had.
