“I stopped on a whim a few days ago and picked up falafel bowls, baklava, and bread. The food was so delicious! We headed there for lunch again today; we enjoyed the shawarma platters, and coffee and baklava. The food is fantastic, and the hospitality warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back!”

“Best tacos I’ve ever had. Ever. We got the grilled queso on the bread which made it fabulous. The strawberry margarita was excellent. It had lots of flavor, was a generous size, and affordable. The atmosphere was elegant, almost like a somewhat upper class Mexican place. Many Mexican places are tacky, but not this place. It’s nice. Please be aware this place is not kid friendly. It’s a very small restaurant and does not have a kids menu. We have a 3 and 1 year old and would not take our kids here.”

“This is the second Hangry Joe's that I have been to, the first one was in Richmond. The staff is very friendly, greeting with a smile and willing to refill your drink while waiting. The store is setup nicely, with plenty of seating and it is kept very clean. The food was tasty, the sandwich is very large and the waffle fries are tasty. The dipping sauce is spot on. “Was greeted when I walked in and helped quickly. Drink came out quickly as well. Very spacious inside with multiple types of seating (tables, lounge chairs, etc) and nice touches like several live plants. Outdoor patio had a lot of seating options as well and even a water bowl for dogs. The patio is circled by their drive through so it’s not a particularly quiet place but it is pretty shaded. Building is very unique, looks like a renovated bank. Parking lot is confusing. If you park in the front (on the side of the strip mall) there is a door to walk in. If you park around back, then walk to the patio on the left side and there is a door there. Wifi was not very reliable to get my work done but I did see several other people on laptops”

“Got takeout for two - a burrito and a burrito bowl, (plus a drink) and it was almost $50. Food is overpriced and not good enough to justify coming back. Good food I will pay for, but not mediocre food. Also the meat was way too spicy, almost couldn't eat it but was hungry. Thankfully I had aqua fresca to tame the flames, but it just wasn't enjoyable eating something that spicy. Some spiciness is expected, I get that, but this was four-alarm hot. Also, the guac is pretty gross. Just doesn't taste fresh at all. Save your money and go somewhere else.”

One thing that I really appreciate is that they offer white salsa, not many restaurants in the area offer this. If you’re vegetarian you’ll be happy to know they have a separate part of the menu strictly for vegetarians, I appreciate this because usually at Mexican restaurants it’s just cheese or beans here you have a few options and it’s clarified you’re ordering vegetarian and not mistaken for another dish. Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Fredericksburg area, if you’re passing by or live near you should stop and give them a try!”

“The Battlefield Country store is everything you would expect from a country store. The aisles are filled with packaged containers filled with deliciousness. A great example is the powdered cheese that can be used as a seasoning or sprinkled over popcorn, which is also carried in just the next alsie. While there don't miss out on lunch! The Battlefield Country store has the largest sandwiches around. Be sure to check the specials before ordering. On this visit the special was the roast beef sandwich with onion soup dipping sauce. The sandwich large enough that the two of us struggled to finish it.”
