Fortune Garden

“Very good food. Bok choy was delicious. One of us had the fried crab, which is why our bill was higher than usual. Overall they have fair prices for the high quality food they serve. Service was excellent, clean restaurant as well.”

Bambū Desserts & Drinks

Address: 516 7th Ave S unit A, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“Not sure what sorcery is used to create this treat but imagine you froze and exploded some cheesecake into shards of delicious ice cream... top it with berries and chocolate syrup and you have this stuff. Probably wouldn't drive to come back, but if I'm in the neighborhood, I'd drop by again.”

Tamarind Tree

Address: 1036 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“Tamarind tree is an unexpected oasis of ambience and lovingly crafted food. The food here goes beyond the usual suspects and offers unexplored options compared with Seattle's usual fare. The spring roles offered great flavor and texture. The coconut rice cake with prawns was a first for me and was fun to try, although more sweet than savory. I'm looking forward to my next visit and trying more from the menu!”

Mike's Noodle House

Address: 418 Maynard Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“I liked this food a lot, the noodles, broth, and meat were all so perfectly seasoned and served very hot. I would recommend the beef brisket and wonton. The difference between the regular and large size is the large size has a LOT of noodles. They serve complimentary hot tea which paired nicely.”

El Moose

Address: 5242 Leary Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Restaurant

“Amazing Mexican brunch!! Their house made tortilla chips are seriously the best I've ever had, esp with their salsas and chunky guacamole done properly. They are just thick, salty, crunchy pure happiness. Loved my Mexican egg scramble (name escapes me presently) and the warm tortillas it came with made it super, super filling. Also their horchata latte was divine, and appreciate that they have oat milk. I also recall years ago coming here and being blown away by a dish with chicken liver and a mind blowing mole sauce... guess I'll have to come back soon for dinner and see if they still have it :) Also the space is super colorful and charming and the staff very sweet and helpful~ highly, highly recommend!!”

Bar Sabine

Address: 5307 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Wonderful bar. They have really unique cocktails and menu. You can tell that thought, care, and little bit of experimenting, is behind your every item. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The bartender we had was amazing even on a busy night like new years eve took the time to craft every drink with care and pride. 10/10 can't wait to bring people to this place next time we are in the Ballard area.”

Stoneburner

Address: 5214 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Restaurant

“Previously I have enjoyed this place, but last night was incredibly underwhelming. We were sat in the booths behind the bar and it was obvious they were quite busy. I think the bartender was our server and made note that it was the busiest time for the bar. He tried to quickly return to where he once came but we passed him to take our drink order before he hurried away. The conversation/recommendations were non existent which sort of bothered me when I heard him later chatting with another table. We ordered the lamb burger, carrots, octopus, and mushrooms and asked to have them just come out when ready, assuming they would be sort of coursed.... Our drinks took another 15 minutes and we had barely sipped them before all of our food came out, at the same time. Which was awkward for our tiny table and a couple who normally likes to take our time and order a few drinks. That wasn't terrible but then the carrots were limp and soggy, the mushrooms and octopus were both chewy like rubber, and the lamb was overcooked and undeterminable from a basic regular burger. Overall the food was over salted and the fries also over cooked. One of which turned to a crunchy powder when I bit in. I am not sure how to feel about this place any more. We promptly left and weren't elsewhere for more drinks/dessert.”

WeRo

Address: 5210 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Restaurant

“Really enjoyed the new Korean cocktail bar & restaurant. The food was delicious, and cocktails were super unique (albeit pricey — can’t wait until they start happy hour). They are clearly still working out a few kinks as they are brand new, but I’ll likely be back in a few months to see how the menus rotate.”

Macleod’s Scottish Pub

Address: 5200 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Restaurant

“limited food menu but was exceptionally done well. The scotch egg seem to be the favorite and we ordered two, they were delicious. Fish & Chips is very authentic and rustic, everything was pleasantly not greasy for pub food. The drink menu is also really well designed, you can find a huge selection of scotch and whiskey based mixed drinks. The restaurant layout is pretty unique in the heart of Ballard, lots of outdoor seating. Definitely will take people back during summer happy hours.”

Conor Byrne Pub

Address: 5140 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Restaurant

“Went on Sunday for the open mic at 8pm, and had an awesome night. A lot of great musicians lined up. The stage was very well organized both technically and aestheticly. The pub has a great atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Definitely coming back soon. There are good places to eat nearby, too.”

Kau Kau Restaurant

Address: 656 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

“Got a few lbs of the crispy pork and the ginger chicken. Good price. Pork was a little on the salty side that day but the ginger chicken was great. I wish they used actual free range chicken that would be awesome.”

A+ Hong Kong Restaurant

Address: 667 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

“This place is worth a visit. Excellent service, the ambiance is really nice for a quick lunch. The staff is great at making recommendations, we described what we wanted and the waiter helped us select the menu items that matched. They are very clean. The menu is pretty extensive and I would like to come back and try more menu items. The bathroom is shared with other businesses so you have to go out and down the hall.”

New Century Tea Gallery

“I am not going to give detail as the others —but an AMAZING display of beauty in tea serving. Never seen such incredible, careful choices to present to the public and their attention to detail. The pu’er tea on a shelf display had many varieties in beautiful paper and design wrappings. So much more!!”

Harbor City Restaurant

Address: 707 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“I have lived in Seattle 90% life and I have been to many of the Chinese restaurants in the International District. I have been going to this specific restaurant for so long I can't even remember when I first started going on a regular basis. I now live in Lake Stevens and it is harder to get down there as often as I would like. When I first started going it was a small hole in the wall place that had very little seating. Now it is double the size but the service and food are still the same great thing I have come to love and expect from them. It's great food, you can get the very Americanized Chinese classics but you can also get the more authentic foods as well. It has a good blend of everything you could want at very affordable prices. You also get lots of food for your money as well. My wife and I make a special trip there whenever we can. While you are there you should also take time to check out the Wing Luke Museum and the Pinball Museum. Both are just a short walk from the restaurant. Making for a good full day of fun.”

This is the greatest Chinese food in all of Seattle they have the best chefs the best food the freshest catch I always see the truck out there at 5 o’clock in the morning at Pike Street waiting to get the good food. Phnom Penh Noodle House

Address: 913 S Jackson St suite A, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“Great service and cheap but delicious food! Never disappointed here. Favorite place in Chinatown/International District. The pad thai is always good, but also try the Chinese/Cambodian cuisine. Free hot tea. Update: still delicious and still one of my favorites in the CID. Check out their new location!”

Lan Huê Sandwich and Bakery

Address: 900 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“I was exploring the Vietnamese center when I found this family owned sandwich place. I loved that all the ingredients were showcased behind glass so you can see and choose which ingredient you want. I got the special combination because the meat looked so good. She knew I wasn't going to eat it until the next day so she putted the veggie separately from the sandwich so it doesn't get soggy. It was one of the best Vietnamese sandwich I have ever had--very authentic, well flavored, and hugh portion. I highly recommend this place.”

Joyale Seafood Restaurant

Address: 900 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“My favorite place in the ID for dim sum. Similar quality to the more-famous Jade Garden (some things are a bit better, some are a bit worse). But *much better* seating capacity. Huge dining areas (plural) means there's almost never a wait and there's free on-site parking! Update: After enjoying many dim sum meals, we went for dinner and enjoyed it, although we both agree we prefer dim sum. We had: 1) Broccoli with garlic sauce (good- flavorful and good texture) 2) Combination egg foo young (very good- nicely crisp, flavorful, and good sauce) 3) Egg swirl soup w/ beef (decent, but a bit bland. Adding soy sauce and chili oil helped) 4) Pan-fried pork with XO sauce (very good flavor with nice veggies, but it was actually fatty pork belly- would ask for lean pork or maybe chicken next time.)”
