“I stopped here to grab a bite to eat before exploring the island. I got the fish and chips and a house salad and both were very good! The slaw was extra amazing -- it was so fresh and crunchy and the dressing was a bit on the creamier side, not watery. The girl serving me was super attentive and nice. I dropped my knife and I didn't want to make a fuss so I just went about eating but she noticed right away and got me a new one. Everyone on the island is so nice, but this was such a nice first impression :)”

“You know it’s good when you can’t be bothered to take any pictures when you first get it! These will have to do for now, but “fresh” photos next time (because there will be a next time!) Delicious individual-ish pies that easily feed two or make for great leftovers at a great price. Also serving up amazing and HUGE cookies. I don’t go in for sweets normally, but these are worth it. Pizza seasoning is spot on and the ingredients are top notch, but the star is really the dough. They may not be using NYC tap water, but it’s just as good as any slice I’ve had on the east coast. Throw in the great location and multiple parks within walking distance to chow down and you’ve got a must try.”

“I went there three or four times in the three days I spent on Lopez Island and every time I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was great. Service excellent no matter the time of day. The staff made you feel very welcome. It’s the kind of place you hope to find when you’re traveling. Well done!”

“Had a great time dining at Setsunai. After coming back from Japan, I was craving noodles. The bar was set high, so I was a little disappointed on the wait and the temperature of the broth, but other than that, it was savory, delicious and hey pretty close to the flavors I had just enjoyed in ramen shops in Tokyo. There are specific times that the restaurant is open, so you just have to become aware before showing up. Other than that, cudos to this small shop, one man kitchen, and all the love.”

“As far as I know, one of the best restaurants in northwest, truely focusing on local/seasonal/natural food experience in cozy atmosphere. They have various cooking approaches (raw, cooked, pickled, dried, fermented preserved etc.) based on the status of local, almost daily-changing ingredients (ripe/unripe, young/aged etc.), also Chef Nick Coffey, a really good man, is greatly familiar with fermentation techniques and you might find something fermented (and of course, tasty!) on your dishes. Thank you so much Nick and all, really appreciate your great works!”

“Very tasty baked goods. I always enjoy the pizza nights, and live music is always fun. One night while there I enjoyed some very tasty curry and rice, with bread and some green salad. Very tasty. However, be prepared for a wait, as they have a small kitchen, the actual place is great for wine tasting, and outdoor seating, especially with live music is fun. Cute little place on the island.”
