Duck Soup sits at the precipice in its class. From the cocktails to the appetizers to the main course and the atmosphere this place has impressed; and, I set my reservation with very high expectations already. Their vegetarian options are iust as good as their non-vegetarian options. This place is stellar and I am going to remember to eat here as often as I find myself on the island.”

“We loved the food at Wild Island and asked them to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner. We were told they hadn't done anything like that before, but you wouldn't know it from the service they provided! They stayed open late and accommodated our wedding party and family with an incredible spread of food that matched the many dietary restrictions we had. The food itself was delicious, we have gone to Wild Island multiple times on visits to the island now and we have loved the food every time. It's the perfect blend of quality ingredients made so that each sings through with its unique flavor. “We have gone several times and it is one of our favorite spots when we visit the island. So far all of the dishes have been great. I am not a "veagan" but they have great food rotating beers and a great selection of wines. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The soft pretzels were great as a snack. “Had an unbelievable time at the aerial hoop retreat. The level of instruction is very high and the classes are structured to meet everyone's ability level. The food is excellent and the amenities are very thoughtful, makes you feel like you're at home. Very low stress holiday as everything is arranged for you (airport pickup, all meals, beach trip, turtle release, night market etc). I'm quite shy and was worried about feeling out of place travelling alone, but Kerri is extremely inclusive. Felt like circus summer camp for grown ups. I was so sad to leave.”

“My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out while we were staying in Friday Harbor and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Margherita pizza and we both agree that it was the best pizza we had ever had. “We went for the Valentine's day dinner. It is in an older house that has been converted to a cozy restaurant. There is not much privacy between tables but with that being said we did not feel like we were imposing on anyone else conversations or that they were imposing on ours. If you are looking for an intimate dinner this may not be the place as everything is tables and there is no booths. The service was great very friendly and attentive. We did the wine pairing which was very nice with our courses. The portions were smaller like you would expect from a nicer restaurant but at the end of the night we left feeling very full. All of our courses were very good, cooked very well, and seasoned nicely. Overall this was a great dining experience and we plan to share it in the future with family and friends. Highly recommend for people looking for a higher end dining experience in Friday harbor.”

“Fabulous, fabulous sushi rolls! Very nice atmosphere. You get to watch the staff roll sushi for some added entertainment. The special rolls aren't cheap, but neither are the other restaurants in Friday Harbor. The special rolls average about $20 each. They aren't small rolls but they also aren't massive. My wife and I split 3 rolls and also got edamame and a seaweed salad. We were barely able to finish and wish we would have gotten just 2 rolls instead. Be sure to make reservations as this place is really popular. We went twice during our stay on San Juan Island.”

“Stopped here for lunch on our whale watching tour. Two of us ordered the soup of the day, which was a seafood bisque that promised to be full of various bites of seafood. While it was indeed very tasty and creamy, there were no bites of seafood to be found, nothing but broth, which was a disappointment. However, that was the only disappointing part of the meal. Our table also ordered a Cubano, a rustic BLT and a pulled pork sandwich. All of those were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. And the fries....wow....best I have had in some time! Service was quite good, staff was friendly, and the views from our outside table were amazing. Highly recommend!”
