“Indie Coffee is a great coffeehouse with a chill atmosphere and has very friendly and helpful staff. The decor is cute and cozy; however, it is great for groups as well as working on a laptop. The coffee is delicious and the waffle was mouthwatering good (got the original buttermilk and was very happy with my choice). I look forward to coming back to try more drink options and see what else I enjoy on the food menu. I'd highly recommend this coffeehouse.”

“This little shop is located in the main lobby of Grand Central, an apartment complex in the heart of UW-Madison's campus. This place is pleasantly surprising. I went in to grab a quick coffee on the way to class and left happy with an exceptional batch brew from arguably one of the top roasters in the nation, Kickapoo Coffee. This place has the bells and whistles of a genuine coffee shop. The wait can be long and there is little wait space, but it is great coffee coming from this shop.”

“The decor and vibe is really cool here. The idea behind the food and the variety is great. The food was good but lacking texture. We had the eggs Benedict and the farmers hash. The Benedict had a small amount of minced prosciutto instead of strips and the biscuit was soft. The flavor was nice still. The hash was again good but needed bacon or something hard to help the texture. No butter on the toast or on the side was strange. Lastly we ordered a donut since that's their specialty I was expecting a nice big glazed donut but something was off about the dough or the oil. It left a very oily and bitter aftertaste. The vanilla latte was one of the best I've had.”

My sister and I both ordered sandwiches with avocado and found them to be extremely hard avocados. And I mean hard like this thing flew across the table when I tried to press it with a knife. Like ok a had avocado but when I told the manager about it he only said that they've been having problems with their supplier and that he personally wouldn't have served it but their it away, he apologized but that was all. Hearing from people who've gone to this location before the avocado problem is not new and has been neglected to be remedied as they've served hard avocados for a long while. I also wonder about other service at this location as a lady complained about her iced coffee being pale and flavorless. Like I said soups are great but probably best to avoid anything with avocado in it”

“The Pancake Cafe was fine for what it is; a chain breakfast restaurant. The service was fine but not extraordinary, and the food was the same. I will say this, though. You definitely get your money's worth; the portion sizes were HUGE! I ordered a five egg omelette as my meal with no intention of having anything else, only to find out that it came with hash browns and three full size pancakes. The only real complaint I have is regarding the cleanliness; it's evident from little things (like the dirt and crumbs in the bottom of the sugar caddy or the musty smell of the carpet, particularly near the restrooms) that attention to detail is not a priority. Other than that, our visit was fine. I'd say we'd be back, but we're in town from Georgia visiting family, so that's unlikely.”

“The library is my bf and I's favorite spot on campus. This cozy little nook is tucked away right in the middle of the intersection across from the engineering campus. No parking lot means the only way to get here is on foot. As far as seating, there's the bar, high tables, and normal tables along with a nice big L couch right in the middle. The food is decently priced and is decent quality. I don't love their fries (they're the long crispy type), but their sandwiches are true to description and have always been enough to fill us up. The drink selection is pretty great, and they always have deals. Beyond the bar, they have a wide variety of lattes for those cold winter evenings. This bar has a reputation for being nerdy, and I love that about it.”

“I come here way too frequently because it is convenient for me. The staff is friendly and welcoming. When I first started coming here it seemed like they were really short staffed but they never let that stop them from giving high quality service. It seems like they slowly got staffed up and now they are even better. Like I said I come here frequently enough that they know my name and obviously I would not do that if I didn't think it was worth my money.
