“I am the owner of the restaurant, and just want to clarify one post. One recent post said they had a poke bowl with a fly in it. First of all, the logo on top of the bowl is Poke Plus, which is located on State Street. There is a Poke Plus’s logo pictures in the album, anyone could go and compare it to the logo on top of his bowl. Our name is Poke It Up and our bowl is purchased through Eco Products and has no restaurant logo on it. Secondly, our regular price is not $9.43, we have a menu picture in the album as well. “The decor and vibe is really cool here. The idea behind the food and the variety is great. The food was good but lacking texture. We had the eggs Benedict and the farmers hash. The Benedict had a small amount of minced prosciutto instead of strips and the biscuit was soft. The flavor was nice still. The hash was again good but needed bacon or something hard to help the texture. No butter on the toast or on the side was strange. Lastly we ordered a donut since that's their specialty I was expecting a nice big glazed donut but something was off about the dough or the oil. It left a very oily and bitter aftertaste. The vanilla latte was one of the best I've had.”

“Overall positive experience! Ordered a deep dish, so naturally had to wait a little bit, but not too long. The place did have a bit of a fly problem but they seemed to settle down by the time we were eating thankfully. Definitely a family run business, as a child who we assume is the chef's son came out and sat with my boyfriend and I asking us to draw with him. Slightly odd, but he was a sweet kid. “Checked it out because it has my name, but I would definitely like to go again! The potato pizza was very intriguing, and the mushroom and spinach was pretty good (though a little heavy one the vegetable oil for my taste.) Chill venue, nice to sit by the window and chat while eating. All their prices already have tax accounted for, so everything comes out to nice, round numbers. And they use Square for payments, so it was able to send my receipt to my email address without even having to ask.”

“This is some of the best Ramen I have had in quite a while. The noodles were at the perfect amount of chewy-to-soft and the menu is really great because they explain precisely what is in each dish. My husband loved it too and wants to go back for every meal now! The service is friendly and quick, and they are incredibly allergy-friendly (they actually ask you about allergies when you order!!) which is so important these days. We will certainly be back soon!”

The peanut chicken has a very light flavor of peanut. Again, everything was very oily. Customer service was below average. They couldn't get my debit card to process. Just paid with cash. They gave me 85% lo mein and 15% of the two entrees. Not super impressed. I would recommend trying other Chinese American Madison restaurants over this one.”

Breakfast:$7.49 Lunch: $10.05 Dinner: $10.45 They have loads of different choices of food, they do have veggie burgers and salads, all meals also come with a dessert if you want one. They do have burgers and cooked foods. Every thing that you could think would be at a regular restaurant, they have it. Weather its fruit, vegetables, vegetarian choices, meat, fries, a cookie or two, or you want something simple like macaroni. If your person that loves cereal, they always have that. Their eating tables are four different sections, depending on where you sit. They have a section right when you walk out of the area, two other sections just down the hallway and if you want to have a good eating view you can walk up the stairs and they have places that you can eat. But you have to rember that this place is by a lot of collage dorms, so there will be collage kids walking around. There may also be construction near by, depending on when you read this possibly across the street there's construction. I would definitely go anytime, very reasonable prices, amazing food, and good seating.”

My sister and I both ordered sandwiches with avocado and found them to be extremely hard avocados. And I mean hard like this thing flew across the table when I tried to press it with a knife. Like ok a had avocado but when I told the manager about it he only said that they've been having problems with their supplier and that he personally wouldn't have served it but their it away, he apologized but that was all. Hearing from people who've gone to this location before the avocado problem is not new and has been neglected to be remedied as they've served hard avocados for a long while. I also wonder about other service at this location as a lady complained about her iced coffee being pale and flavorless. Like I said soups are great but probably best to avoid anything with avocado in it”

“I called ahead with a large group on short notice and they were able to put us up without too much trouble. Palette is a steak and seafood place and didn't disappoint. The scallops looked expertly seared, the steaks were cooked to specification and we'll seasoned. The salmon was also well received as well as the tenderloin and flat iron. The burger was perhaps too big but did come with a cute mock paint can of fries and got high thumbs up! The food was well prepared and the staff were friendly. If you're looking for a nice night out (within the neighborhood or not!), Palette is worth your attention!”
