“As a Japanese American(polish father, Japanese mother), I’ve had a lot of sushi in Milwaukee in my 52 yrs born and raised here. Screaming Tuna North is excellent and Chef Morimoto is a sushi savant. I’ve always enjoyed the Walker’s point area ST but the parking can be a bit challenging. This location has much easier parking and IMHO the best sushi chef in the state. Some of his creative rolls are absolutely works of art. Highly recommended.”

“I’ve been to Beans and Barley in Mequon 3 times since they opened, including the opening weekend. The food was very good, freshly prepared and served promptly. That was a real accomplishment because they were very successful on their opening weekend and were out of several of their menu items. I sat at the counter and listened as they apologized to people ordering but that they had far more guests than they anticipated. I know that was true as there was literally no parking left when I arrived. I felt bad as I have some food allergies that required some special instructions and they were professional, observant and helpful. Which was better than most restaurants who have not just survived their opening. I was very pleased with my visits and am very excited that they are a fixture in the neighborhood.”

“There was a 20 minute wait for a table (not bad at all) but there was available seating at the bar so we opted for that. We ordered a side of calamari which was excellent. I had grilled red grouper and my friend had fried Alaskan halibut. Both were also very good. The staff at the bar where friendly and gave great service. This is a definite go to place if you like seafood.”

“This was a pleasant surprise. We try a new place every week for a Friday night fish fry. This is a quaint country supper club. The waitress was very good and service was excellent. Dinner started with the salad bar which was freshly stocked,clean and good assortments.Warm fresh bread came before dinner and then we had the beer battered cod. Portions were good and very reasonably priced.”

“A very nice out of the way restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The place had one of those Midwest or typical Wisconsin vibes. My brother and I had gone on a Friday around dinner time, and it was really busy. Had a employee ask if we needed a table and how many seats we needed as soon as we entered. Sat at the bar while we waited for table and ordered a beer. Only waited about 15 minutes before we were seated at a table. Our waitress was so nice and we were given our menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. I looked over their menu and they had a big variety to choose from and prices were very reasonable. But it was Friday so my brother ordered fish fry. I ordered the fiesta sampler basket. My brothers fish was amazing. It came with coleslaw and tartar and a side of delicious fries. My sampler basket had mini tacos, taquitos, and cream cheese jalapeno poppers with a small cup of salsa or sour cream to dip them in. Even with how busy the restaurant was our food came to our table pretty quick. We ate and enjoyed our time and we weren't rushed out even though people were waiting to be seated. All said and done this restaurant has a great atmosphere, great food, and great service.”
