“Stopped at Gotham while I was visiting Madison. The egg sandwich was really good and made fresh in front of me. Bagel was really good. Much, much better than I have had at other bagel places outside of New York. Coffee was hot and fresh. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because I thought it was a little pricey, BUT, nothing that would break the bank. A large coffee, buttered bagel and Bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel was $11.50. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend Gotham Bagel!”

“This wonderful place was recommended by family and was well worth the stop. The bread is ancient grain quality and worthy of eating, and I don’t waste bread calories. Breakfast choices are many, pictured here is the eggs Benedict (the hollandaise sauce was perfect) on their cheddar and chive biscuit. The apple pie was topped with their homemade cinnamon ice cream. They misquoted a price to us by accident, and when we realized it later as we were about to make the deal, they honored their word and gave us the misquoted lower price. The seven sisters coffee cake is super! The almond Kringle is my favorite and they usually have samples of their seasonal products. All kringles are amazing. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t good from here. Their standards are quite high and I recommend this bakery to everyone. You will not be disappointed. The danish layer cakes are amazing and we always order one to celebrate our anniversary. The butter cream frosting is simply delightful. We also enjoy the lemon pound cake, danish butter cookies, Bavarian cream custard filled donuts, and various assortments of fresh made breads. They also offer sugar free and gluten free products in their freeze case. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding.
