“Black Walnut Bakery Cafe has the best baked goods in town. Everything is always fresh and delicious. For lunch, I love the chicken pot pie or one of the soups, which are always flavourful. The staff is friendly and the cafe itself is warm and cozy. In warm weather the option exists to sit outside. This is a great place to meet a friend for a cup of tea or coffee, have a snack and chat. Parking is on the street, but since Wortley Village is lovely, and a great place for walking, I don't consider that a drawback in the least.”

“Quiet, homey, with superior service. Server answered every question honestly (battered fish is the only frozen item) and would ask the chef if they weren't positive with his answer. We were told that the new menus were due to arrive in a weeks time, but item selection was still fantastic. Food was expertly prepared. With friends from overseas that preferred plain food and restaurant was happy to oblige by offering alternatives and moderate changes. Mussels are fresh and perfectly seasoned in a white wine cream sauce. I could easily eat this every day. Burgers are beautiful and fries fresly cut. Proportions were either perfect, or food was just so freaking good that our entire table left not one crumb! You'll be seeing me again!”

“We were here for the Jazz and Blues festival however it poured rain we had just gotten our patio table. Claire was our waitress and we can not compliment her more one her kindness, her professionalism and customer service skills. She found us a couple stools at the bar, checked on us regularly and gave us weather updates on the rain because we planned to go back outside when the rain stopped. Our table was under a tree after the rain so she helped up relocate to the front patio and continued to service us without missing a beat anywhere we were, she is the reason we had such a great day despite the rain and not hearing any music! Claire my partner and I are both in business we have seen it all and you young lady are impressive, any employer should jump at hiring and keeping you. Besides Claire the beer was great, food good and for a busy day it seemed everyone was happy”

“This is a great little spot for a burger and some Belgian-style fries. The Belgian fries were definitely reminiscent of fries in Belgium, as was the garlic mayo. The sauce on the spicy burger, while not very spicy, was a fantastic curry-esque fusion that worked really well with the pita and toppings. The owner is great: talkative, accommodating, and interested in feedback. Definitely worth a stop if you're craving a solid burger in a relaxed atmosphere.”

“Just what I was looking for! Stopped by Wednesday evening around 6:30. Parking is free on the street. Place was clean and pleasantly decorated, tables well set up with fresh bottled water in place. “We have been to Piero's pizza twice now and were not disappointed. The pizza is amazing tasting and always hot when we pick it up. Its never greasy and toppings are always fresh and tangy. We have not yet ordered for delivery, but it appears from other comments that there delivery service needs improvement. Even as I was standing in the shop the delivery driver ran into me and hit me with his pizza delivery bag. Please do not judge the whole restaurant based on one bad aspect of there business.”

“Went for the all you can eat tacos yesterday. Portion size were great. I would definitely recommend the beef and chicken tacos. Each taco comes with 2 tortillas which I made the mistake of eating the taco with the 2 tortillas. It just made it super dry. However if I did split the meat into the tortillas to make 2 tacos it would have definitely been a lot better. The tortilla chips plus the salsas definitely elevated my whole experience.”

“Decided to give Harry's a try for breakfast as we didn't want to wait until 9am when our usual place opened. Our server was very friendly and the service was fast. What a treat, we haven't had a restaurant breakfast this great since we moved out of Toronto in 1999. They did the eggs and bacon the way we both like them. And they make real home fries! When so many restaurants are deep frying frozen tater tots, these guys make real fried potatoes out of real potatoes. This is the only place we are going to go to when we go out for breakfast going forward.”

I love this guy :) He was so patient and so helpful (I'm pretty new to A&W, I work the night shift and this location is open 24hrs, great for those of us who want to have supper at 4am). Even the voice on this guy is amazing, I can tell Sky is having a fantastic time and loves his job. I ordered way more food than I needed and thoroughly enjoyed all off it. “A very nice dinner out for two. Pros: The service was tremendous, food was excellent and quite unique. Cons: It is a bit loud and also was sold out of two items we wanted. Many more pros than cons. I had the Fried Cauliflower and Burger which were both amazing! We shared the Fried Pitas which were great. My wife had the Salad which she loved and the soup, which was ok. The dessert we wanted was sold out and the overall cost wasn't too bad. We look forward to coming back.”

“Top 3 shawarma joints in London. The portions are large so there's no questioning if you'll be fill after. Prices are great, very affordable for what you get. Service is excellent and fast, even when there's a long line, it moves quick and you get your order quickly. Easy 5 stars. One thing to add, it's best to consume whatever you order on spot or at least relatively sooner than later. Tastes incredible when fresh, but NOT many hours after. Not re-heat friendly. And by the next day it's maybe just OK. So eat it quickly! Oh and their garlic sauce is absolutely fantastic, so ask for extra!”

Cassandra is one of the friendliest staff members I have had the pleasure of talking to. I go almost every Sunday and I am happy to keep this tradition. The portions are large and the price is low.
