The restaurant and it's bathrooms are clean, the staff are friendly and efficient, the food always comes fresh and piping hot. I honestly have never been disappointed. “2019.08.06 Went back again, after all it is the only authentic Chinese restaurant in the building. Surprisingly, everything went so well this time. Lots of improvement. the food was excellent and the service was good and fast. Have to give them credit. 2019.07.14 They are in a good location so they didn’t work hard enough. Price is a bit high but acceptable, the food and the service have a lot of room to improve.”

“Our server was great and the kids enjoyed their pancakes. I got eggs Benedict that was cold and looked more like green eggs and ham. I took one optimistic bite and quickly returned it for a “quick” breakfast that was actually hot and fresh but still lacklustre. Try your luck elsewhere or stick to the pancakes!”

“After reading many reviews that swung from great to terrible we decided to take a chance on this restaurant for our first visit. We had an amazing experience. Our server, Vaughn, was the best!! Attentive, personable and kind, as well as great at his job!! Can’t say enough about this young man. The food came timely and was not only tasty but also abundant!! Too bad we didn’t have a fridge in our room as we could have had another meal out of it. The cost was actually comparable to other destination places so no surprises there. “When I was a kid, my dad would call places like this a "greasy spoon", but in a good way because it isn't commercialized or hyped with marketing. Bottom line it's simple, cheap and good eats. All the favorites are there, well made and presented in a simple manner. The staff make this place great with their sunny disposition and attentiveness. Sure you have to splurge for drinks but hey, what more can you ask for in a place that can offer an all you can eat for $7.99, which is VERY cheap, compared to the overly expensive and poor quality options in the immediate area? I give this place a great rating because they deserve it!”

“Wonderful food and fantastic, friendly service. Clara was our server and she was outstanding. The food was amazing authentic Italian cuisine! I have a gluten allergy and their gluten free pasta was delicious. The atmosphere is lovely. There is the most beautiful garden of flowers surrounding the restaurant. We were very impressed and felt like it was a great value and a wonderful experience on our trip to Niagara Falls. Highly recommend.”

“This is a great family owned spot. The food is outstanding. No wonder - the owner is an amazing chef and is responsible for regularly adding to or modifying the menu items to keep things fresh for regular visitors. This spot also has a pool table or two and hosts some teams for league play. While there is plenty of separate seating, my wife and I like to sit on the side bar and enjoy a shared meal. The pricing is reasonable for the delicious menu items, and people who like more of a roadhouse menu have plenty of choices as well. Enjoy.”

“No gluten free menu and when asked what can be made gluten free, not helpful at all. So I had a small salad and they added grilled chicken which cost an extra $5. Salad was not tasty. Walked away disappointed. I am going to have to revise my review. My other friends wanted to go to Cat's and I was so not looking forward to it due to my prior visit. It turns out that it depends on how helpful your server is. I had a different server this time and I found out that the nachos ARE gluten free after all. There is also gluten free pizza, pasta and they will accommodate anything on the menu. Not only did I enjoy my nachos, our server was awesome. He was friendly and funny. This time I walked away happy ????”

“We visited later in the morning. Most of the tables were vacant but unusable because they hadn't been cleared. We ordered 2 of the classic breakfast with one half waffle side with syrup. The menu said the meal came with bacon or sausage, so we asked if they were sausage patties or links. One of us said I think I'll have bacon then and we were told it only comes with bacon. When the food was served the toast was dry and no butter or jam was included. The waffle was served without the syrup which we had to go to the counter and get. The waffle was good, slightly crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside. The scrambled eggs (they only way they were offered) were bland but cooked properly and were probably the premixed variety that are poured from a milk type carton. The 2 strips of bacon were dripping with grease. The potatoes were good and well seasoned.”

“Adding review so I know to come back here. We've tried various Vietnamese restaurants in the area and they're all good. This one kicks it up a notch and provides very generous portions. Decor is somewhat weird since it looks more like a diner. Still, very clean. We ate at 2pm after coming from Niagara Falls so it was pretty quiet, maybe that's why service was also great.”

“I have been eating at Swiss Chalet for as far back as I can remember. As a kid, we would drive to Hamilton to eat here before one came to the area. I still love it to this day, and have never had a bad experience. The quality is top notch, and has been consistent over the years.
