“Visited on a Thursday night and everything was on par! Will visit again. We ordered a two piece chicken, a 4 wing chicken, waffles, Mac and cheese, cornbread, and hush puppies. They gave us each a good sample of mead, which led us to order a flight of 4 mead flavors. And there is a free appetizer while you wait for your food/drink! Service was attentive. Food was hot and not too spicy (might be spicy for some), the chicken was cooked correctly, unlike some of the reviews about the quality, and the waffles and sides are delicious! We did notice that the server forgot to ask/provide sauce for one of our orders, but she corrected that after serving the food. We wish the sauces were listed on the menu, and wish that syrup was offered if we wanted chicken and waffles... but have no complaints about anything else.”

“Not only the best food truck, but the best food I've had in so long. Everything is fresh. We had burritos, pancakes, smoothies, iced coffee, cold press green juice, and lemonade. We have a family of 6. Finding something everyone likes is hard. What a wonderful surprise to find this food truck at Thousand Trails! I'd enjoy this food every day if I could!”

“Based on previous comments, I took one taco el pastor as an entree and the veggie burrito as the main dish. The nachos con salsa roga were nice and crispy. The taco was good, but I expected a bit more flavor. The burrito was also good. It might have been a bit spicier for me, but overall, it was a good taste. Compared to the real mexican home food (my boyfriend is mexican), the food over here is less spicy and a bit more blend, I guess it's adapted to the taste of tourists 😁 The vibe of the place is also not Mexican but rather that of a sports bars (you'll understand when you go there 😉). All of the staff were very friendly and helpful in making me choose what I wanted to eat. The place looked very clean, and so the toilets.”

“Wife and I went here on Sunday. Our first visit. Gonna give a very detailed review. Lets get the cons out first: -Patio does not offer much shade- is this a big deal-not really as it is beautiful 10 months a year. -not much character inside- seats, chairs, and outside of a nice picture of vineyards, plain walls, dark tables. etc. Just needs some decor improvement. Pros: -Dana was amazing- patient, explained the story of the place, the vineyards, and the wines. She was pleasant , personable, knowledgeable, and fun. -John, the owner, was great. We talked about the wines and gave me 5 different tastings- basically a flight. He didn't charge me and he talked about the wine and interacted. I actually purchased a bottle because of the tastings. -Onion Soup- amazing- best onion soup I have had. -Poutine- I am used to Canadian style but this was very good. Duck fat and brie- how can you go wrong! I would suggest less duck fat and less brie as it became soupy and mushy. A little duck fat goes a long way- But not a complaint. -Turkey and brie- great sandwich. -Wines were all good. Some better than others but all were good. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and will, for sure, be back. Great wine, great service, great food.. Check them out...”

“My wife and I had lunch here last week and enjoyed the food, great service and sitting on the patio. I ordered a double burger and fries and my wife ordered a burger, onion rings and fried pickles. First let me say that you only need one side item at most and you may even one to share one as they are very sizable. Our burgers were delicious as were the side items as well. I was hesitant to try their bing sauce, but it proved to be outstanding. The management and servers were very pleasant and took great care of us before and after serving the meal. We will definitely return to the establishment another trip.”

“We attended with a friend and we had a great time. It was a cute western town, continual entertainment was very nice if you didn't want to shop and that you could sit outside and enjoy the music. The food was good. All of the personnel were so polite and wonderful. The owners were so friendly and really wanted to make sure you had a good time. “I like this place for a variety of reasons, the menu is full of great sharing entrees, you can point with your eyes close and anything you pick will be delicious, yes! the food is incredible! fresh ingredients and every plate is prepared in-front of you (if you are sitting at the food bar) carefully and lovingly by the line cooks. If you are seating at regular tables you will have the advantage of being serve by one of the many friendly waiters of this establishments. Our wait person was very nice, personable, human! not in a rush, she made suggestions that were spot on for our party. “A family business, Adriana is always there every time we go to greet us with a smile. The food is homemade and delicious and will be made any way you like. The outdoor patio is beautiful, the beers are cold, and the margaritas are amazing. They make horchata, which is my husband’s favorite and not always offered at most Mexican restaurants we’ve been to. Salsa is mild but very fresh and they will spice it up for you, if you like. “Came here for a nice dinner tonight and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered two appetizers as it was 1/2 price night for them crabby Mac and cheese and skewered combo. Both outstanding. Also half price well dinks so a couple of Italian beers again very refreshing. The scampi was very good. The rib eye steak cooked perfectly as ordered and the raviolis were very nice with the marinara sauce. Megan our server did a fine job with us as we were very chatty during the order process. The manager came by to ask how we were doing and how the food was. We ended up having o lovely chat with him. I highly recommend this stop but I suggest you spend some time and just enjoy.”

“Hubby and I were staying in Cottonwood, which we found had a great choice of restaurants. We stopped at the Red Rooster after a morning of hiking and were greeted by our server, a sweet young woman. Our table was in the cozy patio. We wanted to share a BLTA, which was no problem. Both the sandwich and the potato salad were delicious and our server was pleasant and professional. “Had the mac and cheese side, sweet potato fries, and a turkey club. My buddy had the mac and cheese with the half a chicken. The mac and cheese was just a tad dry, but otherwise very flavorful. The club was savory, causing me to want to eat slowly to make it last longer...so good. The sweet potato fries were a little on the small size, not in portion but cut, but had enough flavor to order next time. My buddy said his chicken was.....well he said he could eat it everyday. I could see how juicy it was and cooked completely through. It smelt delicious. Prices were decent for the quality. Customer service was excellent as well. Definitely worth a try. Big smoker on the patio made my mouth water too :-)”
