“I always Love a Great Hole in the Wall Place. They Get Busy but Patience is a Virtue. A Husband and Wife run this place and I will gladly wait 10mins just to eat and relax. I had 2 Tacos I couldn't decide on a Thrifty Ice Cream but the Coconut and Cherry are Great”

“LISTEN...do you love crab...do you love Old Bay...do you miss the happy marriage of those flavors?!? Then B'More is the food truck for you! I don't care if it's 95 degrees on the mountain, I'm still ordering a hot cup of Crab Soup and some Crab Bites. You cannot get food like this anywhere on, or around, The White Mountains so, please do yourself a flavor-favor and check them out!”

“It’s been years since we stopped here. It’s just as nice as I remember. Lol, we pulled out of the drive thinking we were going to merge onto I-40 and quickly were stopped by a “road closed” sign. It was dark and the station was perhaps once situated along the OLD onramp… we had to circle around until we could see where we were going! Also, lots of parking spaces for truckers here. But seriously, easy to get on and off the interstate for a quick stop and re-fuel!”

“I'm always down to try out a new place and if you add local and family owned to it even better. I'd never heard of the Country Griddle until today and after reading a few things I realize it's only been open about a month. Word of mouth is obviously spreading quickly because it was packed around 11am today and more and more people coming as we were seated. We lucked out and got there right before the afternoon rush and we're seated right away. The location is part of a strip mall and parking was a bit tricky, but we parked over by the Sketchers Outlet and just walked over. The inside is quite small, but holds about 4-5 booths and 6-7 tables with no outdoor seating. Today being a weekend be expected to wait. They offer both breakfast and lunch daily. The menu offers some great items including three types of Eggs Benedict , banana pancakes, chilaquiles and eggs or Hawaiian Portuguese Sausage . If you’re low carb, or just want something lighter they offer salads and/or a veggie sandwich. Service was great and even with the constant rush of new customers adding to the wait list they kept up and people were seated, tables cleaned up and our drinks constantly filled the entire time. Prices are a little high, but that is the norm now with the economy. Portions were great size and I left full. My California Benedict could’ve used a bit more sauce, but the English muffin was perfectly toasted, bacon crisp, avocado fresh and egg poached well. My daughter loved her biscuits and gravy and my husband and I agreed that the country potatoes were the best we’d had. I typically loath country potatoes because they are soggy, not seasoned well and/or soggy every where we go. The country potatoes at Country Griddle were crispy and seasoned well. I’d eat them again. If you aren’t a fan they also offer a side of fruit in its place. I didn’t get any photos inside because it was very busy and I didn’t want to blast peoples faces while enjoying their meal. Location was clean and great lighting with large windows.”

“As small as the location is, I took my chances and tried out the Birria Pizza together with friends and was blown on the flavor and how filling it left me with just one slice! The service was excellent, the cashier female was tentative and very polite. I'd definitely be coming back for more!! It was a thing of beauty. Just look how tasty the Birria pizza looks on my photos....I'm going back!!”

“The staff was great. If I had to say anything negative it would be that they did not have enough of their frozen sides available. Honeybaked needs to look into a permanent location in the Surprise area it would do phenomenal.”

“Came here yesterday for lunch and it was amazing. They only serve panini’s and gelato which we had to try both of course. They have a wood fired baking process and the dough comes out crisp with a soft chew. We ended up ordering 2 different types and shared them as they were cut in half for us. The young blonde girl at the register was very helpful and nice. Definitely coming back.”

“Wonderful, friendly atmosphere with locally sourced drinks and food. Affordable and delicious! They make their own wine and the menu is different every night. The bread is homemade and the meat and cheese board is very good. We went two nights in a row and were blown away. Best practice is to get there early because they are a small kitchen and will run out of entrees later in the evening.”

“I drove by this place a few times and finally went and tried it today. The sandwiches were much bigger than I thought they would be! My wife and I had the Italian beef and the Italian Sub. So FREAKING GOOD! I'm not sure I've ever had a better Italian Sub to be honest. I'm so happy we've got such an awesome local place to get some good eats. Definitely going in the regular lineup for our family.”

“Surprise just got their best restaurants so far in the hood! Outstanding tapas, the steak and chicken skewers were phenomenal, and the smoked mozzarella dip was out of this world! Had the unique opportunity to meet Angie who is the chef and owner and everything on the menu can be gluten free!”

“We've been waiting for a Wingstop in Surprise! Place is small, but looks great. This location just opened today and the staff was overwhelmed upon opening. Even so, they were efficient and friendly. Food was great, but Cherry Coke did not taste like it.”

“Stopped by a few days ago and suffered the lines but I’m glad I waited. The hot lobster sandwich was really good although I think there might be a version that includes a spicy element but I’m not sure if there is such a thing. If there is I’ll try it. I also got the fried lobster and it was OK but fairly chewy, probably won’t get that again. the fries are really good which was a surprise and I had the Angie’s energy drink. I’m not sure exactly what it is but it tasted really good. I’ll go back but the lines need to die down first. Not waiting 30 min in this heat to get drive through. Also. It’s pretty far away from me so I don’t know how frequently I’ll head all the way over there. Fantastic price. $9.99 for the lobster roll “meal” with fries and drink.”

“Food is great but the customer service needs work. I was at a neighboring store when I saw the new Manny's burgers. Being a person that likes to support small business I thought I would check out this new place. The inside feels a little empty and needs some inspiration. The decals on the wall were cute. The cashier was very nice but he didn't smile. Again, he was very nice but he could've worked on his smiling. He took the order well, confirmed, used good volume on speaking, but never smiled. The best thing about this place was the burger. The burger was amazing. It was a great patty cooked perfectly. It was a very enjoyable piece of meat. I was expecting a typical frozen patty but this tasted fresh, the bun was fresh, the vegetables were fresh and they give you a nice little side of the crispy/battered fries and the total for my bacon cheeseburger with fries was less than $9. I thought the price point was great, the food was awesome and I think they just need to get that smile going along with having somebody coming out to check on people. Being it's a new establishment I would try to create relationships with the customers that do come in. Regardless of the food it's it's still nice to have friendly service. I would suggest to have more interaction with the customers (if possible) after they've ordered. It seemed that after each order the employees would retreat to the back (probably to do things) but it felt like you were left alone in the restaurant and nobody was really tending to the customers after they ordered or thanking them for coming in when they leave. It's also nice to acknowledge the customer, with a "thank you", when they tip especially since it was written in the receipt handed back to you. I hope this place does well as I'd like to return my next time thru Anthem.”
