“Greenhouse is getting a plethora of new Chinese restaurants and 和记 is the newest on this list. They took over the former Urban Ka-Re spot diagonal from McDonald's. Easy to spot on the right as you enter Greenhouse from Washington Ave. Parking is easy and plenty as the plaza never gets too busy. Currently they have a grand opening special for their signature Hainan chicken lunch box - only $9.90 (originally $15.50) and comes with a small salad, the special Hainan chicken rice and a soup. The chicken is tender and delicious! Cooked perfectly and juicy - it gets my chicken loving family's approval. We also tried their chiu chow braised duck and the flavors weren't as prominent as we'd like. On their menu they serve much more than Hainan chicken. There's chiu chow appetizers and a craft your own noodle bowl option. Excited to see this place open and try more of their items!”

“I got a regular poke bowl (2 scoops) with spicy tuna and scallops. Everything was very fresh and tasty! It was a good portion of food and reasonably priced. I got half rice, half salad and I was pleasantly surprised that the bowl had minimal rice - they really fill it up with the other toppings and poke. We’ll definitely be back to try the ramen and udon.”

“I've only eaten here once for dinner. Had the congee and won ton soup, and both were delicious. However, I've been here numerous times for dessert, and OMG so yummy!! Music is good. Parking is really small but they do have plenty of seating. Wait time wasn't to bad. 5 to 15 minutes when I went there. Come and check it out. The portion of food is huge compared the price (I can save some for my next meal)and a flavor is similar to what we made in Thailand! We will definitely come back soon. “I've been waiting a few months for them to finally open and I'm happy that they are. I had the tonkatsu curry (medium heat) with an omelette and I would get again. But right now my feeling is that I should just go through the different menu options on my next visits. They are slightly hidden on a curve in the greenhouse marketplace. They are right by the Jack in the Box and in between a few haircut business. In the same attached overall building where the 99 cent store is.”
