“I only give it four stars because I don't necessarily love love their coffee, but they have good pastries and a good breakfast sandwich and good bagels. The prices are pretty standard for LA - two regular coffees plus the breakfast sandwich plus a bagel came out to about $33 plus tip. The bagel that you see in the photo is the loaded bagel without the lox. I didn't feel like lox that day, so I specially ordered it. I love it because the cucumbers are so fresh and crisp.”

“One word FABULOUS The cake was stunning, beautiful, a work of art! It tasted so divine that at my boyfriends social distance birthday party everyone had two slices and finished the cake in one night! Maryn is the real deal and I'll be using piece of cake for a longggg time! And all my friends were so impressed they all decided to use piece of cake for the next special occasion. Plus Helena herself is amazing! She is so fun to email and really knows how to bring life to any party!”

“Great coffee, food, and service. We stopped in on Friday morning for coffee and a quick bite. Their vanilla honey latte and iced caramel latte were both delicious. There’s a cute, partially shaded patio out back with plenty of seating. The bagel sandwiches (Mavro and Lox) were huge and so good. Staff was extremely friendly and we grabbed a bag of beans to take home with us. Already suggested it to our LA friends and will stop by again next time we’re in the city.”

“I literally LOVE this place, the pan fried cheesecakes are actually a very common breakfast/dessert dish in other countries. They are very similar to the American pancake except made out of i believe it to be cottage cheese or something similar mixed with egg and other ingredients to make batter and lightly fried and by themselves they aren't very tasteful similar to how a plain pancake would taste with no added butter or syrup, similar to pancakes you must add choices from dolce de leche, mapl syrup, dark chocolate syrup, coconut flakes , banana slices, pineapple chunks, strawberries, whip cream, etc etc. I literally order ten a week and refrigerate left overs and eat them through out my week. Pop em in the microwave for like 20 seconds and they're good as new. A million stars if I could. I ordered one time for pick up and went to the wrong location and they remade my order for me! Excellent superb customer service!”

“the pastries are ok if you're in the mood for something sweet and quick. the torta is not worth the price! basic cheap sandwich meat with very little veggies. not appetizing at all. the service is fast and friendly. the place is small. always clean. located in a busy, dimly lit parking lot, but safe enough.”

“I used to come to Elysee years ago and it is still a wonderful dining experience today. Great breakfast, the omelet was perfect, the potatoes cooked just right, the bread, oh the bread! Baked in-house and so very, very tasty. Had a croissant and a danish for good measure, both delicious. The coffee was fresh with not a bit of bitterness. And the fresh squeezed orange juice had the perfect amount of sweetness. We will be back and soon! I must add this that I forgot to mention: the customer service was stellar! Those working on 3/7/2020 Saturday at lunch time were just wonderful, sincerely helpful and pleasant!”

“This place is a hidden gem located at Victory and Variel. The kitchen closes at 5PM but the place is open till 6PM for coffee and pastries. The bakery items are delicious esp. the almond chocolate. They don't make scones normally, only for special orders of 12 or more. Hope they change this in future. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Parking is convenient.”

“I've been dying to try this place ever since I saw them on the Profit! Definitely did not disappoint! Everything on their menu is sooo good. I'm making an effort to try everything. The online ordering system is so easy to navigate. For halo-halo lovers, this one can't be beat. I tend to not order this at many US restaurants because they are usually not that great, but not Bsweets. They add all the right ingredients to make it authentic.”

“I rarely review places, but I just had to write a review for Duidough Cafe because it was so exceptional that I think other people should know about it. The food was so fresh and delicious that I was extremely pleased. I ordered the hamburger - it was juicy, fresh, flavorful- everything a quality burger should be. The salad that came with it was simple, but again so fresh that it was very satisfying. The service was impeccable as well. And of course the cookie- honestly it's a perfect chocolate chip cookie- a bit crunchy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. If you ever find yourself in Hollywood, I highly recommend this place for a solid breakfast or lunch- Duidough is a hidden gem for sure!”

“Where else to obtain morning bravery and succumb successfully wanderlust temptations over warm pastries and select coffees while your toosh lays low key on sunken slouching very straight wooden chairs and tables. Don’t mind the blasting of modern rock from MTV2 be your thing if it’s not, earphones are always a welcome. Free WiFi with a purchase, pedestrian view of Caesar Chavez Street—clean bathrooms, cleaned everything, almost too spotless.”

“Great little Italian market if you're looking to cook from home, and their deli and desserts are the best in the Valley. Their cold sandwiches and pasta are great too, but where they really shine is with their hot sandwiches. Their meatball sub is one of my favorites, ever, without a doubt. Their hot pepper steak sandwich is my favorite sandwich anywhere, hands down. This place is an institution, and if you go in (which you absolutely must) be sure to spend some time checking out the historical photos and memorabilia that adorn the walls.”

They have free unlimited WiFi (an anomaly in LA these days), and the owners are so friendly! They also have plenty of milk alternatives for us dairy-free people. 1802 is a must visit!”

“Been a fan of Clark Street since I googled to find delicious croissants. I found them in their Grand Central location. Zack does croissants properly - light, buttery, flaky and so many layers. I love all their breads and pastries. Reminds me of when I lived in NYC and visited France. Thank you for being in LA.”
