“One of my favorite coffee places. The coffee is just excellent. The young people behind the counter were fairly indifferent but they were courteous enough. The dining area is small and the outside seating is on the side rather than out front which would be better. Truly great drinks for sure.”

“Perfect little treat at UTC mall. The desserts are amazing and I personally love the lemon cookies the best. And their lattes are pretty good.”

“This place is opened for a month now and I came to know of this place due to a coupon I got in mail. I took my coupon and went to try it. Ordered Western bagel, amazed to see like 10 variety of bagels to choose from, there are mini ovens to bake the bagel, bagel turned out really good and warm. Then went to bill with the coupon and the staff behaviour suddenly changed as if They are giving it for free, came second time and same behaviour from staff. Staff can really need to improve on there attitude. The place is good, but staff behaviour is a minus for me. Bagel size is small, three variety of coffees to choose from. Taking out 2 star for staff.”

“Happy to have a better buzz in. Mira mesa. It was I my available in mission valley a while back. There’s a drive through which is really convenient, however the drive through design is horrible. You’d see what I mean when you visit. Overall. Delicious coffee”

“Over time, I have acquired the smooth taste of Peet's coffee and my favorite is the Havana Cappuccino. The baristas are simply amazing here and very friendly. The consistency of my beverage is why I keep going back. Friendly crowd and great atmosphere for a break. Patio is great.”

“Really friendly and loyal staff. Some have been at this location for at least 7 years. They were our of the Everything Plant Sandwich, and Sara recommended the Mediterranean wrap, and it was full of flavor! (See pic) It blended well with the Las Hermana's black drip coffee.”

“One of the best branches in San Diego. My morning is not complete except in the cafe from this place, they make you happy with their smiles and beautiful words. Thank you.”

“This is a tough one. My coffee was 5 stars all the way in terms of flavor, but it was only “warm” by the time I got to my car and had it half consumed it was not even warm. But again, the taste was great. Also, a large is only 16oz and it’s over $6 out the door. Seemed a little steep. But again it was really good. This place had the feel that it was new, or up and coming and for that reason I like to support them. “Cute” places to sit outside and a couple tables inside if that’s more your thing.”

“Was near our hotel and they had menus outside. The prices were great so we decided to try it out! The staff were friendly and got our order quickly. They have self serve coffee with many different hot brew choices to make. The food was fantastic and feeling! Was not expecting plate sized pancakes. Would definitely go again.”

“This was a very fun stop. The atmosphere is great and fun to hang out for a while. The choices of donuts were great and we had a difficult time choosing. The prices were very reasonable as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Pick a few to share, they are very large!”

“Full review: These are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Their website says that they are made fresh that day, I can tell. My photos may not be the best, but they are so fluffy and have a great taste. I’m looking forward to trying other menu items. Today I just had a pancake craving and I got lucky with these 👌🏽 They are also super quick, made in under 10 min. Can I have the recipe? 😄 **update** One big reason why I don’t dine here anymore is because every time I walk in that place, my energy goes down. It’s depressing. They have the tv constantly going like you’re in a depressing retirement home. This isn’t inviting and going to drive away customers. There are plenty of places that focus on making it enjoyable for the customer. How hard is it to maybe mute the tv and play music?”

“Excellent option for those early risers. Plenty of options on the menu that gets cooked fast, fresh Coffee is brewed and ready even when I walked by at 6:15. No frills seating out front, but upstairs loft seating is available if you want to hang out.”

“First time going to this coffee shop and I definitely plan on coming back. Went during a Friday morning and noticed it was a solid blend of college students, working professionals, and families. Fairly limited with the amount of seating inside of the shop. Ordered an iced mocha ($5.5) for inside and it came in a clear glass cup which was a very nice touch as other coffee shops do not do this. I enjoyed my cup of iced mocha, I feel that I am getting good quality ingredients here with their display of coffee bean bags by the cash register. For parking I parked along the street which is limited to a couple of hours, I am unsure if they have a dedicated parking behind the shop.”

“This place has the best bagels—and bagel sandwiches—in town. They do Montreal style, so they get the wood fired treatment. They’re perfect! Donuts are great as well, and the seasonal selections are thoughtful and innovative. The chewiness of the donuts is not my favorite in the city, but the flavor is on point. GO HERE FOR BAGELS, even if you’re not into donuts!”

“The quality is consistent with the company standards but the choices at this location are pretty limited. That includes the beverages as well as the pastries. The other thing that we noticed was that there is shortage of staff, as many businesses are currently experiencing. There was only one barista trying to help a healthy line of people and the poor girl was struggling. I have to give it to her though, she managed! Location is convenient but parking is very limited, especially after hours and weekends. The shop has 2 assigned parking spaces - one on the side and one in the back, so check those first. Not many people know about that.”

“So glad I found Funky Lemon during my stay in San Diego. Such a cute and warm cafe. Went there two days in a row during my short stay in Mission Beach. The coffee is excellent. The breakfast toasts beautifully composed and delicious. There are amazing looking pastries too. The staff is bar none. They went above and beyond to helped me avoid a parking ticket.”

“Outstanding!!! This was by far, The BEST visit I've had at Better Buzz, and if more businesses would display the level of kindness and consideration, we would live in a Better buzzy world. I was greeted with a warm smile, patience for mine & my dog's very specialized order, and departed with the most sweetest compliments from the manager saying I was the kindest person ever to come through Better Buzz. We live in a world of chaos and confusion, often disregarding kindness & compassion to one another. Kindness is a value not to be taken for granted yet seems to be less and less of, like "turning signal fluid". I live in North Park where there are at least 2 other Better Buzz stores within a mile from me, but I enjoy going the distance to this location in Pacific Beach, specifically because of the exemplary customer care I receive, every time. Better Buzz at PB West, truly deserves a Mayor's award for surpassing the minimum expectation of delivering the best service, highest quality food, and warm atmosphere. It is businesses like this, who standout from your average business and set the bar high for a customer's exceptional experience.”

“So stoked Vili’s made its way into the PB neighborhood! I’ve been to the OB location before and love this place- PB needed a fresh and healthy smoothie spot! Ingredients are fresh and everything in the menu is fantastic, from the Mac nut bullet coffee to smoothie bowls to fresh juices and shots. Organic ingredients are a major plus!! The vegan pastries looked delicious as well, I will definitely pick one up on my next visit. Free customer parking in the back makes it a convenient stop when PB gets busy. Friendly staff and great vibes in the shop, I will definitely be back to this location! 🤙🏼”

“Without a doubt, arguably the best cafe I’ve been to after cities all around the globe. Such a cute “more than” coffee shop. Living outside of philadelphia we don’t have too many down to earth coffee shop business owners like Abby. She’s personal, professional and just has a way of connecting and communicating with her customers. Then there’s the incredible atmosphere, the delicious coffee and drinks (espresso and Matcha for me) and the small eats to absolutely did for (overnight oats) If you’re looking for a quiet place to get some work done, fuel up in high quality healthy food that tastes good and have a bold tasting caffeinated drink AND a refreshing chaser, Rosemont is 100% the best place to go in La Jolla. 5 min walk to the beach and away from all the hoopla downtown”

“The food items here are okay, not bad. The donuts aren’t that good sadly 😢 The savory items were better. The non-coffee drinks were honestly really bad though which was super disappointing. Maybe I’d try their coffee but I feel like if the other drinks are pretty bad im not sure how much better it can get. We ordered delivery but it seems like from other reviews the staff sound amazing, so my review is only regarding the products!”

“been visiting San Diego from Chicago for a week with my boyfriend, and we needed a good coffee to start our day and keep us moving with the time change. Stopped by this cute little cafe right near Petco Park, and the barista (I don’t know her name but she was the absolute sweetest) made my boyfriend and I the best coffee we have had all trip. I have a caffeine intolerance, and being able to have decaf espresso is the only thing I can tolerate. She made two of the best Vietnamese Iced Espressos I’ve ever had. Definitely a favorite and will be back next time we visit ❤️”

“Everything was amazing 👏🏻👏🏻 I got a vanilla latte with an extra shot and my husband got a quad shot with milk and vanilla, both drinks were super smooth and delicious. We especially loved the avocado toast with pickled onions and goat cheese, I order scrambled eggs to pair with mine and they were fresh and flavorful. This is now one of our favorite breakfast places!”

“Chill atmosphere. Menu is a bit limited but the beers is what remains the best part of this place. 4oz flights are the way to go in order to try all of the delicious ales or lagers they have to offer. Spicy Chicken Cilantro and Margarita Pizzas are my all time favorite. Prices are very reasonable and nothing over the top. Always find myself coming here and will continue to do so. Staff is friendly and always on top.”

“This is a great place for pies (duh!)... Both savory and sweet. They have some unique flavor combinations and think outside the box on both kinds. I opted for a cookie with an ice cold glass of oat milk (off menu but worth an ask!). Super friendly staff who were very helpful and answered all our questions!”

“Twiggs is a neighborhood gem. I LOVE their blueberry bagel (from big city bagels) with cream cheese and their latte is wonderful. My husband always enjoys his biscuit breakfast sandwich, which comes with bacon, sausage, or just cheese, and can also be served on a bagel or croissant. They have a large assortment of pastries and quiche, both of which I haven’t yet tried. The Italian sodas are unique and delicious, though a little sweet because they have flavoring syrup. The staff here is super nice and helpful, always with a smile behind their masks!”
