It was wonderful the service was fantastic, the drinks were good, and the real winner to me was the barbecue. The best brisket I've ever had. “This place is pretty great. We've been there for coffee, drinks and some appetizers. All of that is very, very good with great service. The only thing that is a little odd is the to go cups situation. Its a very nice concept but they need change it to be able to return the jar and get your 50 cents back without having to buy another drink. Pretty simple to have a jar of change behind the bar similar to every convenience store in states that have bottle deposits.”

“This feels like giving away a great fishing spot. Had our first dinner there Friday and it felt—and more importantly, tasted—like tapas and meals we’ve had in Barcelona, Seville, etc. Ceviche, calamari and the main paella were perfect. Even some nice tastes we didn’t expect. Outdoor vibe was great—Spanish colors, quiet patio with over-the-top service. Hope Paellas is a part of WP for many years to come ... “Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good. Parmesan cheese is served in a bowl with a spoon and there's honey in a squeeze container for the pizza crust. Our meal was a little over 50 bucks for 2 large pizzas and a 10 dollar dish of spaghetti with meat balls. Ambience is chill and the vibe is definitely a reflection of the town.”

“The best fish and chips ever. Ever. I was in Ireland and these are better. I eat fish and chips at least monthly for many years. They are crunchy and a huge thick piece of fish. Amazing. I ordered extra of the Cole slaw because of how fresh and tasty. We had the soft pretzel with Guinness cheese and Guinness mustard - amazing. We drove up from Denver and will do it again just for this meal. Super tasty. Super friendly service.”

“What a delight it was to eat at Paella's tonight. We have had some good food here in Winter Park but the food at Paella's I would rate with the best food I've had anywhere and we have eaten at some fabulous restaurants around the world. The paella was well seasoned, full of various sea foods, plated in a lovely manner, and very tasty. My family orders a lot of charcuterie boards and they ranked theirs one of the best they've had. My son had the tenderloin medallions and he never says anything and he tried very hard to describe how good they were. All the dishes and desserts we're top notch. The staff was happy, hospitable and fun. We couldn't have had a better time. I hope to come back to Winter Park now to eat again at Paella's. Well done!”

Overall a positive experience and if given the chance, I will certainly return again. “Excellent house-distilled spirits and artfully crafted cocktails. The rustic ambiance reminds you that you’re in a true Coloradan alpine town. The food is delicious, too. I visited this place in 2017 and didn’t forget to return in 2020 when I happened to be in the area again. They didn’t disappoint on either occasion. I’d give five stars for the great drinks alone, but Idlewild deserves an extra one for good food, quality service, and a memorable atmosphere.”
