The location simply cannot be beat (that view!), the management staff is professional, friendly, and obviously does whatever they can to keep the place running smoothly, the food is far better than what you normally would find next to the lift at the base of a ski mountain, and the ambiance and vibe are chill/fantastic. Do yourself a favor, grab a margarita, a Mexican shrimp cocktail, and a blanket, and park yourself at the fire pit. You might make a new friend over some live music! A+ all the way around.”

“Stopped in for lunch. Place was not busy and the staff was friendly. Inside was dimly lit, so eyes had a bit to adjust. Menu was quaint, but they had good options. Cool ideas for recipes. The food came out wonderfully. Lots of flavor packed into each sandwich. Hit the spot after a day on the slopes. The drink options were vast, but I chose a beer with the sandwich. Not terrible for mountain food on price.”

“Very cute and tasty lunch spot. We ordered the tomato bisque with added crab, the seasonal chef salad, and the burger, finishing with the two tasty dessert bites. Everything was very high quality and extremely delicious, and staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for high class establishment, just be aware that people may line up before they open at 1130, so it doesn’t hurt to be a little early.”

“Stopped in to try some of the beers from Irwin since the main brewery is production only. The beers were pretty good. I especially liked the Mexican Lager. The cask condition pulls weren't my thing, but wanted to try them since there aren't many cask conditioned ales out there. We were still pretty full from lunch that we ended up back there a few hours later. The roasted beet salad with blackened trout was good. It was a massive portion too! Bartender was really cool as well.”

“My friend and I arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday evening and was seated right away. Our waitress, Martha K, was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the House Hot Sake, Kimchi, Chinese Dumplings, and Orange Chicken. Everything was delicious! I must admit – they have the best orange chicken! It was very satisfying! Ryce Asian Bistro is very popular in town and can get super busy in the evenings. I highly recommend arriving a little before 5pm if you want to avoid a long wait. Surely give this a place a try if you are in Crested Butte!”

Everything, from the menu itself to the plates and glasses the food was served in to the decor of the restaurant to the overall atmosphere, was chosen with great care and a lot of thought. “My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at Marchitelli's last night! She ordered the veal parmesan which she thoroughly enjoyed. I built my own pasta dish with angle hair, pesto sauce and shrimp. We showed up right when they opened and were seated at the bar. We got to meet Michael, the owner, and had a great conversation about living in a ski town. We would highly recommend Marchitelli's to anyone coming to Crested Butte for a visit. Can't wait to go back!”

“Pizza is great, atmosphere is fun and unique, and their staff is awesome. Karaoke is on Thursday night it is fun to watch the locals sing. Only downside is servers are unwilling to split ticket so if you are in a group of 6 or more be prepared to pay a friend with cash. 2022 update - still fun environment! Soda is not on the menu and is priced at $4.”

“There are several pizza places in Crested Butte, and Mikey's is my favorite. The pizzas are amazing (my favorites are the Veggie Dee and Southwest Chicken). They do a great job with the sandwiches (faves are the Chicken Parmigiana and Caprese), and the salads are impressive too. They deliver and have always had friendly and quick service. The Stash and Brick are really good too, but this is the less well known gem of the three.”
