“We stopped in just after opening on a Friday morning. The cafe was quiet and lovely, with light streaming in and dishes rattling. We seated ourselves and were served promptly. The savory crepes we ordered came out quickly and prepared to perfection. Don't you dare miss this little gem.”

“Love visiting this donut shop on Sunday mornings, their donuts are always so fluffy and quite yummy! Nice staff too, plus their punch card program is well worth it!”

“Great flavors. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Pups are welcome! And if you bring your own cup you can get a dollar off! ... Not sure if that's all the time? But I'll try to remember next time!”

“Came in about 9 a.m. to grab a few dozen donuts and a couple of coffees. The donut selection was great as they had a lot of options to choose from. Would have definitely given it a five-star if the coffees and Latte would have been a little warmer. They were both poured immediately upon ordering and drank right away. There was really no heat to them as a temperature was definitely lacking.”

“This is my favorite Starbucks to order from! The staff is SO FRIENDLY! It’s always clean and never a long line in the morning. Special shoutout to Zoey for asking me how to spell my name and engaging in conversation. The world needs more kind people like this place!”

“Two old guys at separate small tables, with their steaming cups of coffee and their bagels, talking easily, chatting about politics and sports. This is what a bagel place (or a coffee shop) is supposed to be like. Comfortable, comforting. The problem is that none of the three people who are behind the counter were there last week. They seem nice enough, but they are all new at this, and it shows. Here’s an applicable headline: “Employee turnover runs as high as 130% to 150%, according to industry measures.” That’s annually. I’m at Einstein Bros. Bagels, which is often included in surveys and articles about the Denver fast-casual phenomenon. I’m not sure it quite fits - I visited bagel places in the late ’70’s that were essentially the same. But Einstein’s started in the mid-Nineties and fits many of the other signifiers. From the attractive and humorous signage (most featuring Melvyn and Elmo, those fictitious Einstein brothers, and supposed founders) to the delightful varieties of bagels, to the frankly delicious breakfast sandwiches… Einstein’s offers a bagel’s perspective on fast-casual service. Einstein’s has a complex history. From what I can tell, their VERY FIRST shop actually opened in Salt Lake City, the second one in Denver. The company headquarters is in Golden, and Denver was the site of the first big push of franchises, so maybe that’s why it is categorized with Chipotle, Noodles, and the other Denver fast-casual operations. I love the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich - egg, turkey sausage, spicy Monterey Jack cheese, with Jalapeño Salsa shmear (the best ingredient) on an Asiago bagel, or a Green Chile or Jalapeño bagel if you are feeling adventurous. The Chorizo Sunrise offer better sausage - chorizo, of course - but also adds guacamole, which makes the whole combo just a little too much for me to manage. It has gotten all over my fingers and shirt enough times that I never order it anymore. The menu is good, then. Apparently, it’s mostly resistant to individual errors by new workers… or by workers who are bored and disinterested. But is this what we want when we visit a restaurant? Do the two old guys and their idle conversation make up for the uneasiness at the counter… and behind the scenes? There is a sort of Ponzi scheme underlying fast food (and fast-casual food, too), and it could be starting to fray at the edges. All the chef-inspired recipes and authentically sourced food may not be enough to keep this trend viable.”

“The tea selection here is incredible. They have a few tasty vegan pastry options (plenty of non-vegan too), tea and coffee lattes as well as dairy free milk alternatives such as almond milk. Highly recommend!”

“Hands down best original Drive Thru (or walk up, which I definitely recommend????????) coffee shops in Denver. The girls are all extremely nice and helpful with choosing their unique drinks. They have everything from delicious white espresso, smoothies, teas, Italian sodas pretty much anything your heart desires. I’m sure I’ve found my new spot to wake up at in the morning ????????☕️”

“This team is risking health and safety during this health crisis to serve me McNuggets. That alone is worth five stars. The fact that they do so politely and quickly definitely gets them five stars. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who works at this location!”

“They have quite the mix on the menu! I mean, geeze, not expecting a Thai tea?!? Had egg and avocado on toast with a kale salad. All was super tasty, just wished for a slight bigger portion size for the money. Now the chocolate peanut butter bar..... oh boy, amazing! Would definitely come back based on the food quality!”

“Our first time in what will become a more regular patronage, I expect, as the food was excellent. Curbside is the mode du jour, of course, but they make it simple. The pear, Bleu cheese, and spinach salad is outstanding (the grilled chicken was a good add and the fact they didn't skimp on the pear was lovely). The house club sandwich is excellent diner style fare: I recommend the marbled rye and the removal of the red onions which have a tendency to take over everything. The chocolate and strawberry crepe also received rave reviews from the daughter who was celebrating her birthday and wanted a sweet treat that was a little out of the box and definitely not cake. She recommends adding strawberry fruit jam to the mix! In any case, Katherine's performed and set a pretty high standard based on our first experience. Looking forward to our next run.”

“Love this place! My husband and I had dinner here last night, and so enjoyed everything. Low key atmosphere, great food, and great service. The sample platter was excellent, and more than enough for the two of us. Our server went over the top to answer any questions we had, which we appreciated since we were new to eating Peruvian food. We'll definitely be back!”

“Got in and ordered two burritos. Fast service and a friendly cashier. The burritos were bigger than most I have purchased in the past. I was given plenty of Hot Picante sauce which is highly unusual compared to other locations. Only thing I wish is they offered bacon or ham in their burritos. The restuarant was clean although it had a real slight musty smell. Other than that I would return.”

“This place was such a dream! It was so unique, yet also unpretentious. Felt very cozy and overall just a really nice place to unwind after a busy day in Denver. The breakfast every day was such a nice way to kick off the morning and each of the ceilings were each more interesting than the last. It was a bonus that much of the house was still decorated for Halloween which just added to the charm. Would definitely stay here again!”

“After moving back to Denver from Key West, I've been seriously missing Cuban sandwiches and Coffee. I'm so happy to have found this gem. I will definitely be a regular customer. Most authentic Cubans and cafe con leches you can find in Denver.”

“Service issues here. Staff doesn't seem to comprehend English very well. I had to ask for the same thing 3 or 4 times before I got what I asked for in the first place. But staff person who finally brought my correct order was friendly. Good was hot and good.”

“Love the homemade masks and cleanliness. Allegro house roasted coffee is smooth, gluten free biscuits stuffed with tomato and pesto, hell ya! I saved half for my husband. Thank you for making this outing with my newly 14 year old teenager eventful in our pandemic. Now we are looking for an open consignment shop. We shall be back with friends hopefully next time.”

“It's not a bad. Not far from the sidewalk in front of the place is a bus stop and if it's Cold out side the door is open during the week and Weekend and it is very easy to to see when the bus is at the turning point and if One is ready. Getting to the point where you get in the bus is at least a great benefit. Service is truly Kind regards to the Visitors ????. Just be good to them follow up with the guidelines for the grater good. And that visit with you and them will be Pleasant Hospitality! ????????????????⊂(◉‿◉)つ”

“Fun artsy place! We got to the cafe right before they closed so the kitchen was already shut down, but we ordered something to drink. My friend ordered a latte and I tried their rosemary lemonade. It's a pretty drink as well as very tasty! We look forward to coming back to try some of their lunch options!”

“I've been meaning to post this review for some time now, but here we go. PLEASE do yourselves a favor and try the Smoked Salmon Bagel!!! I stopped by Cook's expecting a quick and basic breakfast after a long flight into Denver. What I got was indeed quick, but nothing even close to basic... My Bagel was absolutely one of the top 3 BEST things I've ever eaten. I don't know how they do it, but Cook's should be very proud. I plan on visiting again as soon as possible to shake the hand of the gentleman who crafted my masterpiece. 10/10 this place is awesome”
