“This is one of my favorite spots! Great food, friendly staff with the exception of one young girl who was the cashier today. She really needs to have more training in Customer Service or put her in the back. I'm big on Customer Service and she is the worse! The cooks were very friendly which made up for it. “So, I like to wait to give a review to make sure that I have assessed everything properly and fairly. Main and most important thing about any food place is the content itself, in this case, the bagels... They are A-1, top notch, New York style, excellent! I'm from the Midwest but I believe that anybody who does not sell a Salt Bagel can't be considered a legit Bagel purveyor. Fancy Bagels sells s Salt Bagels, which to me are one of the greatest food Delights on Earth. Also, the Everything bagel to me, is the Hallmark of a good bagel shop. Well, it is top-notch also. We've gotten lunch Bagel sandwiches there a few times, and the breakfast sandwiches, The BLT Bagel sandwiches, and the Nova Lox sandwich on an everything bagel, are scrumptious. The people have seen me a few times and are helpful, especially because I know a very good customer of theirs. Having scanned some of the 1 and 2 Star reviews, I will say that some of the people on the phone can be a little bit short or moderately rude, which in a certain sense gives the place a little bit of character but I understand how that could put people off. It's also bc they are super-busy, and have not time for chit-chat. All in all, this place is great and is a super find if you are looking for a real legit, New York style bagel. 👊👏”

“I work as a real estate agent about 45 minutes away from this cafe. Every time I’m up here to look at properties, I stop here. By far one of the best cafes I’ve visited. Kind staff, good coffee. “Hazel & Mitch are two of the kindest people I have ever met. We held a Celebration of Life event for my father at their venue on Saturday, 8/28. Our original venue had to be cancelled on Wednesday 8/25. When I called them to see if they could host us, I expected the answer to be no. Instead, Hazel quickly jumped into action and found a way to cater our event even though she had a wedding the same day. She almost completely recreated the same meal that we had chosen at the other restaurant. For the next 60 hours, they took endless phone calls from us, let us visit the spot a million times and helped us set up the event exactly how we wanted it. I lost my dad in November and we have been waiting 9 months to honor him, it is only because of these wonderful people that we were able to do it. As for the venue, it was perfect. The lights, chandelier and rustic charm of the barn were lovely. The audio visual was just great and the food was delicious and served piping hot. They also could have easily overcharged us as we were desperate, but the prices were incredibly fair. I would recommend this lovely venue to absolutely anyone.”

“Came here on Monday night for dinner. I enjoyed the citizen chicken sandwich and thought the comeback sauce was very tasty, and my boyfriend enjoyed the four piece combo that he purchased. I also really enjoyed the Hartford Baking Co brioche bun. I chose the chocolate sprinkles donut and thought it was good, but artificial tasting. My boyfriend chose the chocolate raspberry donut which was much better, but a little light on the raspberry. I was impressed that the donut itself was very fresh despite it being dinner time. We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese and were a little surprised at how spicy it was. Overall, everything was good, but we had a small incident with the manager that we couldn’t help but feel tainted the experience.”
