“Great overall our hostess and server were very friendly and extremely attentive. Very cool inside with incredible ovens you can watch pizzas being made. The pizza was delicious all the ingredients are so fresh so you can really taste the sauce and distinct cheeses used. I added ricotta to my cheese pizza and wife had mushroom pizza. The crust has a nice little char in some spots from the powerful ovens. Definitely skilled pizza makers, I can’t wait to come back again soon.”

“I visited from out of state and immediately felt welcome and comfortable in the cozy environment. There were plenty of menu options for everyone in addition to the separate chef's specials. You could tell everything was made with fresh ingredients with large portion sizes. Staff was friendly with excellent service. Ordered the Arancini, Sicilian salad, Seafood fra Diavolo, and the pistachio/ricotta dessert with coffee and everything was delicious. Very close to UConn as well. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!”

“This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. This was a great food experience. I had four different tacos, an Al Pastor Torta, and chicken flautas. The torta was really good, great flavor and loaded with food. The flautas had a nice light crispy shell and all white meat chicken. Great stuff. The tacos all had excellent flavor and were the best of the bunch. And a very nice young lady manning the counter just made it better. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.”

“We took our daughter and her vegetarian roommate here for lunch. Roommate recommended pani poori as appetizer. Crispy rice balls, with garbanzo beans and yummy green sauce. Our server recommended mango lassi. Best I have had. With cardamom! Lamb dish and chicken marsala were also good! Great service. Also have smoothies and cocktails.”

“Cozy atmosphere, great service. The fried pickles were crisp and tart, not greasy at all. Sidewinder fries were also delicious and hand-cut! The patty melt was very good, and the steak tacos were excellent. The corn tortillas were cooked perfectly and the steak was tender and flavorful. You can tell everything was made fresh in-house, including the coleslaw and sauces. Shout out to our server Chris for the laughs and attentive service! We're excited to come back!”

“We decided to give Woke a try for brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Right from the start, the waitstaff impressed us with their friendliness and attentive service. As for the food, it was truly excellent. I opted for the Woke Benedict, which is Eggs Benedict with Chorizo, and my son enjoyed the delightful Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. In fact, even our friends couldn't help but comment on how delicious their own meals were. Woke is truly a hidden gem that I highly recommend trying out.”

“Really enjoyed the live music, The Leftovers. The hostesses and waitstaff were very friendly and apologetic when things weren't on point. Unfortunately, our drinks came late....it seemed that a lot of drinks were just sitting and waiting to be picked up by waitstaff. And then one of our entrees was barely lukewarm when it arrived. Waitstaff needs to get better at timing and window pickup (Should have been fully trained three weeks after opening - not an excuse). Would not recommend the Steak & Cheese...the meat was overcooked, and there wasn't even enough to cover the bread it was served on (very small portion), and again lukewarm. The wings were decent. With limited menu option, every entree should really be on point. Also, you need to advertise your buffet hours better. Great location and love overlooking the water, just need to improve on these areas. Hope you do, so we can keep coming and enjoying the music! (Also would love to see more seafood on the menu, especially being right on the water.)”

“Best sushi in CT! We had the sashimi platter and it was a beautiful variety of fresh and delicious fish. The cocktails were unique and tasty. “If you are in the area when the deli is open, do yourself a favor and stop in to have a sandwich. They are freshly made to order (although there are some prepared for those on the run). If they have the ingredients available, they will create whatever sandwich you want. On a scale of 1-10, I give the woman who typically works the deli a 15! It is also a convenience store and you will pay convenience store prices, but there are a lot of items packed into this small store.”

“It's difficult to find authentic Hispanic food this far north (without going to Wallingford), but Taqueria Cinco nails it. The food here is great every time. I highly recommend the menudo. This time of year, menudo is the perfect solution to keep yourself warm. If that doesn't sound good, then the pozole is equally fantastic. Personally, my favorite meat here is the Carne Enchilada! Get that in a quesadilla, and you're in for a delicious meal. The selection of jarritos is excellent as well. Tamarind is easily my favorite, along with the mandarin. Horchata. The usual drink of choice with Hispanic food. Most places use a simple mix packet; however, they make their horchata from scratch. It's absolutely worth trying! Let's not forget desserts! The flan is sublime, and the tres leches cake is to die for; creamy and soft with so much flavor! All in all, this is an easy 8.5/10. I'll definitely be returning regularly.”
