“Came down to St Pete's Beach for three weeks. Ended up eating here five times. Burgers are great. Wings are very good. Fish tacos are wonderful and mussels were amazing. No wonder the place was always packed when we were there.”

“This was a very good breakfast. Enjoyed the food and the service. This is a good choice for those who want something authentic. We returned two more times to try more menu items. Corned beef hash and the Cumberland sausage are fantastic. We did have a short wait for a table but it is worth it.”

“Drunken Clam is tucked into the corner of 46 ave on the beach. Rebecca greeted us warmly like an ole friends. I had the fried clams and fries; they were hot and delicious. The fish was fresh, with a slight tang. Great taste, Peg thought the portions were a little light. Nice covered patio to get some breezes. View lacks a little but the food and service more than make up for it????”

“Excellent environment and wonderful menu. The food is fresh and achieves an authentic Italian presentation and taste. The interior is homey, romantic and elegant. The wine and food selection is both sorted, delicious and affordable. The staff make you feel at home. Great location, beautiful setting, great lighting, too.”

“Great atmosphere with hand carved tables and chairs. The food was excellent! The chips and salsa we're all made at the restaurant and fresh! We had the guacamole made at our table and we're very pleased. Jose was our waiter and did a fine job and explained the different sauces available for the food. My son had the Hacienda platter and it was more then he could eat, and he said it was excellent. I had the fajitas with chicken and beef, I really loved the chicken!”

“Don’t let “snack” fool you. This place is great. Went for breakfast. I had a really nice omelette and the boys ate their weight in eggs and delicious biscuits & gravy. Very satisfied. I highly recommend their bloody. They actually asked about my spice level and made it perfect. Great vibe!”

“I celebrated my 21st birthday here with my family. I thought it was so lovely. I had a reservation and arrived early while I waited to get sat the staff offered me my own private party room for my guests and I to have for dinner. I was very impressed and thought that was so classy of them to offer considering it was my birthday celebration. Every staff member was in a good mood and greeted me the bartender made me some tasty strong cocktails. The food was delicious and liked beautiful. Everything all together was awesome. The way the restaurant is set up is gorgeous. I highly recommend even just once to experience this place. They have a rooftop bar which I’ve seen pictures of but they closed it that day because it was raining. I would go back on a sunny day to check it out. It’s a bit pricy but you are also paying for the experience and the view is quite nice.”

“Nice menu, overprice, small portion. Food is very good in general but my ossobuco was dry and overcoocked. Excellent service!”

“What a classic and historic site. We went for the amazing brunch that delivered and met our expectations. We enjoyed our meal and walked around the property taking in all of the beautiful surroundings. If you haven't been here, put it on a must do list.”

“We stayed at the resort attached to the Compass Grill and were given a few vouchers for breakfast here. Now, the breakfast menu is a lot of potatoes, starches, and carbs. There isn't really a solid protein packed meal besides the steak and eggs. Unfortunately, the vouchers don't cover that meal. However, speaking with Lisa and explaining my dietary needs she allowed me to order this meal. I didn't really touch the potatoes or bread- but the steak was cooked how I ordered, medium and the egg was done correctly as well. I highly recommend asking for Lisa if you try them. She is the most pleasant and tentative there- even remembered my exact meal several days in a row! The rest of the servers seem to just go at their own pace and talk way too much instead of being attentive. The hostess, I am sorry I forgot your name, dark complexion and beautifully braided hair was a funny and lovely gal too. As far as prices- it's expensive because this is tourism. 10 bucks for a meal seems to be the standard now a days. However, with that being said I wish in the future they would think about adding to their menu for breakfast a pick 4 for $8 or something. Give me the option to create my breakfast plate because of my dietary needs without paying more because of health issues. Lots of places offer this- please consider adding it to your breakfast menu.”

“Had one of the best dinning experiences ever last night at Snappers. First, when we were waiting for a table an employee who was on their break, asked if we would like our picture taken. This was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Second, our waiter, Andre, was amazing, thoroughly knew the beer, wine, and food menu, he was on it and very professional Finally, the food was outstanding. Other businesses should take note, this is customer service and a wonderful dinning experience. We will be back!”

“Awesome experience, authentic restaurant. I was in St Pete at a conference with a couple of colleagues, we went to Skidders every day we were there. The food is delicious, it is one of the best meals I have ever had in my life! The owner and the staff are extremely friendly and approachable. The owner came to us and talked to us after our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“My husband and I had dinner here recently. We have heard great things about the food, but they don't take reservations so the wait can be very long. We waited about half an hour, not too long, we arrived at 8pm. I would recommend sitting outside if you can. The dining room is very small! The open kitchen makes for very noisy dining. Our meal was interrupted several times by dropping plates and other clatter from the kitchen. Also, since we arrived late, by the time we finished the staff was cleaning around us. Our waiter was very attentive, but it's distracting having chairs being put up on the tables around you. However, the meal was delicious! We shared the fried goat cheese appetizer, and our steaks came with house salad (which was quite nice), mashed or baked potatoes (we had one of each, cooked well but slightly boring), and butter rolls (nice but again a little boring). The steaks we're perfect! Nicely seared and seasoned, cooked to a perfect mid rare. We also had a beautiful lobster tail. We will go back but will plan to arrive early and sit outside.”

“The food and atmosphere was amazing. They have three choices for your experience: Hibachi, where you have a dedicated chef, sushi bar, where you sit at the sushi bar station with their Master chef, or traditional experience, where it's sit down with menu. I did the later or the three and everything was legendary. The raw salmon roll was so soft and so fresh. I recommend this place 100%”

“Excellent pizza pie. Food was top notch. Wait staff was exceptional as well. Chris was great! Very professional and well suited for the venue. Will soon joined Chris in double teaming me, and I enjoyed every minute of it!! Even though a store-front Ristorante, still an outstanding place. Good food, and great staff. Highly recommended. Just request Chris or Will. You will not be disappointed.”

“Cherished Ceremonies Weddings recommends this restaurant as we were setting up for a beach wedding on Pass a Grille Beach and stopped by for a pizza and it was great! We also asked the manager if we could store some roses in his restaurant to protect them from the heat while we were setting up the beach wedding, and they were so accommodating! Thank you to such a nice place! Your hospitality is not overlooked!”

“Excellent service and food as usual. One of our most favorite places to patronize. EDIT: I am really reluctant to post this edit as I do not want the following comment to overshadow the bigger picture that Sea Critters is an excellent establishment with (save for the exception that I am about to mention) excellent service and a kitchen to match. But tonight we ran into a matter that we have encountered in the past about 8 or 10 times and we are tired of overlooking it. So here it is. One of the hostesses at Sea Critters can best be described as the hospitality equivalent of a Nurse Ratched. We have been dining at Sea Critters over many occasions the past 4 years, and every time we have been there when this hostess was the main hostess she has made it clear how much of an annoyance we are to her. Now my degrees are in accounting and law, not psychology, so I have no idea why everything about us annoys her. While she appears as a tireless worker, she exudes an attitude that she would be okay if we took a long walk off a short pier. This is unfortunate because everyone else that we have dealt with at Sea Critters have been delightful and a pleasure to be around. And it is still one of our favorite places to visit, and I am keeping the 5 star rating as I do not want the actions of one person to overshadow the bigger picture. But management needs to get on top of this situation sooner rather than later.”

“The food is delicious and priced well. The menu is also straight forward and not overwhelming. I had the fried soft crab, mussels and buffalo shrimp. The soft crabs were the best fried crabs I’ve ever had. It’s normally a hit and miss for me with soft shell fried crabs. Our waiter Sam was awesome! My mother in law had quite a few questions due to it being our first time eating there and he was able to answer all of them. He was kind and attentive and I loved his positive attitude. Now that I know this location is so close to my home I’ll be back.”

“Our go-to place for breakfast in the morning. How can anyone resist sitting on the beach and enjoying the ocean. Food is good, not great but the atmosphere makes up for that. Plus depending on the time of year, it can get very busy. The staff does their best to keep things moving. Now time to go find some seashells..”

“My husband and I had a lovely time here! I got the grouper and lobster and he got the grouper and crab cake specials. They were both delicious! Perfect asparagus as a side, great view and drink prices! Amanda, our server was the best and gave us awesome info about what to see, do and get around. We can’t wait to come back!”

“Decent meal, maybe? I know they're just steps to the beach, but they could try harder. Bag of plain Lay's chips served with meals? Employee cleaning silverware on table in dining room next to us? Not providing a beer/cocktail menu unless asked? Never asking to refill water or drinks? Food plated with no care to appearance? Appearance of entryway, dining room and outdoor patio could use some attention also. Eat at Hurricane Seafood Restaurant next door instead for a much better meal...they can cook and they care. Breakfasts and Grouper Sandwiches at Hurricane's are amazing!!”

“We visited for the first time today. My breakfast was great but my wife's didn't turn out as ordered. All in all it was a good experience in a nice environment. Quick fast service at a decent price.”
