“Great breakfast! Well priced for 30A. I get the bacon egg and cheese biscuit sandwich and their pulled pork sandwich often. Don’t sleep on the chorizo gravy, it’s my favorite gravy in town. The ladies in there are always very kind as well. Bring your own water though, the water they provide tastes like they got it out of the hose and is clearly not filtered. We still come here at least once a week regardless and sometimes pick up breakfast sandwiches for the crew at work, they love it too!”

“Beautiful spot to sit and have a quick bite. Everything on the menu looks so good. We tried the Monte Cristo, smoked pulled chicken sandwich, hot dog for the little one (which they graciously accommodated cutting in length wise for her to eat), smoked brownie and ice cream. The homemade bread is so good, soft and a perfect bed for the smoked meats. The chicken was smoky and moist. The brownie was thick, chocolately with a hint of char and smoke. The ice cream was full of the flavors we ordered. They even have a little library for kids to enjoy a book while they visit. The owners are incrediblely nice and you can feel how much love they put into their business.”

“Whoever was on the drive-thru tonight did an amazing job with our order. We ordered for 5 children and 3 adults, and every item was made perfectly, all the drinks were correct, and the staff was so friendly. We will be back again soon!! Update: 2 months later…. “We just got done having dinner here. We have been watching their development on Instagram and we’re super excited as locals to give it a try. First off the service was 10 out of 10. We did not have a reservation and we waited all of five minutes in peak season. The restaurant has an amazing bar as well as dining section and they have drinks and food that match it perfectly. The drinks are absolutely fantastic and are a pallet explosion in your mouth. The food is not only fresh, and local, but it’s absolutely delicious. My wife and I were licking our plates. Our server was amazing and I believe either the manager, or the owner, came over to check in and see how we were doing. Stellar service, stellar drinks, stellar food. One more because you asked for?”

“We usually go to the other Black Bear Bread Co but decided to try this new location. This location is a lot better than the first one. It’s easier to get to, more modern and updated, and seating is a little easier. The food never disappoints in my opinion. The pastries are always on point but this time I tried one of their bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits. It was really good and a pretty large portion. I don’t know what all these losers are complaining about price for. Every single restaurant and shop along 30A in this part of town is charging inflated prices. And it’s not because they’re greedy. It’s expensive to do business down there. If you’re planning on shopping and eating in Seaside or Santa Rosa, plan on dropping a lot of cash. That’s just the way it is.”

“At the end of my long day I was treated with kindness & courtesy & had a delightful meal. The special of the day was Chicken Florentine & it's all home-made & delicious-o! I topped off everything with an Italian Cream Cake that would make Italians like Emarald Lagasse smile & ask for more! It was moist, creamy & had just enough pecans! I thought the place looked familiar even though it was my 1st time there. 1 wall reminded me of something I'd seen on the TV show Restaurant Impossible... “Good taco salad, but kinda small. Let me rephrase that as “healthy portion size”. :-). Yes that’s a normal sized fork. Meat tastes like good quality and has great flavor (and even better with mild sauce added), lettuce and tomato are very fresh and good, cheese? Not enough to assess its quality, but I think it’s good too :-). The bowl is edible too and tastes like toasted soda crackers, very tasty. Not many seats so consider visiting other than lunch hour or dinner hour”

I believe that my grouper may have been one of the top five I have had in 52 years. The cocktail claws were scrumptious as well. This restaurant fronts beautiful Barrett Square in the heart of Rosemary Beach. The holiday lights were gorgeous. We were here for a wedding weekend in Santa Rosa. “The food is alright, didn't really hit the mark. In my photos you can see that there is essentially no difference between the chicken fried rice and hibachi chicken besides adding some vegetables. Having smaller veggies added to the rice and more variety would improve the taste. This might just be to save time and cost. Other menu items I've had just don't taste authentic. It is the only Japanese style restaurant in Defuniak, so it's the best we have for now. Service is good and they are always timely in my experience, just wish the dishes were tastier. I have yet to try some of the raw sushi, but the tempura shrimp roll was pretty good. I'll be returning but I would like to see improvements.”
