“My son suggested the steak Egg Rolls. I'm not big on steak but the Egg Rolls were very meaty. Haven't tried anything else on the menu.”

“Amazing sandwiches at a great price. All sorts of Italian cheeses and meats. Their homemade marinated eggplant, and giardiniera (multiple spice levels) are fantastic and well worth the buy.”

“The curries were really tasty, everything was reasonably priced, and the service was friendly and prompt. The only negative thing was that everything was served on plastic plates with plastic utensils when we ate at the restaurant. While I understand it's important for a restaurant to control their overhead cost, it would have been nice to not see so much disposable waste.”

“I really enjoyed the pizza. This is the place that everyone I Chicago kept telling me that I just had to try. There was not a long wait for the table but of course there will be a wait for the deep dish pizza. Make sure to order appetizers. You can order a small pizza for one as get it at way that you like it. This worked out better than getting one big pizza to share with people who have different tastes. Everyone was happy.”

“Only came here because I had a free entree coupon but I was pleasantly surprised by the superb taste of the rustic food. Love the bread they use and I would definitely recommend it for a quick lunch or dinner stop. Try the pesto chicken! It's delicious! ”

“On of my favorite places to eat. Prices are kind of high, but in my opinion it's worth it. Fresh organic food every day. I love the turmeric tea with lemon, and the sunshine pot. Their salads are very good. I highly recommend this place.”

“I really like the sandwiches here and have had most of their menu. The unique and specialty ingredients would qualify to make these artisan sandwiches. They are pricier than your normal sandwich shop, but worth it for the ingredients and flavors. I appreciate that each sandwich comes with chips or almonds. This place can get busy so I recommend getting there early if you expect to dine in.”

“Delicious deep dish pizza! I was visiting Chicago for work and ordered ahead from the airport. Once I finally got to the restaurant, I decided to just eat it there, even though it was close to midnight. The host was kind enough to warm it up for me and give me a table to eat at. So good, look forward to trying it again!”

“Cooked just right. Just the right crunch and still juicy and flavorful. The only thing I would like is be like Atlanta on the lemon pepper wings and make them wet. It's a butter lemon pepper sauce ????. Good stuff.”

“This is the only place open late around here for a quick pizza. I had pizza several times here. Usually i do an online order and go pick it up. I can say this is more of a To go place. The staff were really good. There were cases when i went in to pick up at the closing time and the staff were still patient to take another order. I will continue ordering at this place.”

“This place is excellent. The atmosphere is really cool, with excellent themed decor that doesn't seem kitschy or overdone, just comfortable and sweet. My wife and I intended to order out, but we would up sticking around and eating in cause the atmosphere was so excellent and the staff was so friendly and bright. And I think that really tells you something, I wanted to change my plans to enjoy the space! Now the food--the classic sandwich is just excellent. I got mine one step up on the spicy scale and enjoyed a subtle sizzle on my tongue throughout but didn't need to stop to let it cool at any point. The chicken is delicious, the toppings are excellent and don't get in the way of the massive filet you're enjoying, and the bun holds together well despite the oppressive flow of sauce from the chicken and the slaw. The collard greens were.....ok. wouldn't get those again as they took away from an otherwise great meal--hard to find good collard greens sometimes. But overall verdict, easy five stars. Will be back again--to this lovely location in particular because of the friendly and inviting staff and environment.”

“This place is super cool, the food is incredible. I wish they would be more clear on how there ordering process goes because it is a little kaotic. And a lot of the customers were rude and unhelpful to a newbie. Which I don't fault the business but maybe if they were more aware of new customers and how to give them a good experience. Still loved the food.”

“Stella Barra Pizzeria is an interesting choice for Indian fusion. They do a great job of immersing Indian cuisine in dishes like pizza and pasta which are both excellent. They also have traditional dishes such as Curry! Everything tastes good, service is great, I'd come back again.”

“Pho was decent, and Bun Bo Hue was acceptable. This restaurant which was used to be Cafe Hoang was struggled to maintain the food quality after its owner had been changed. Apparently, the quality went downhill, but it was still a fine place to have some Vietnamese food if one can make it to Argyle, especially for people who live close to South Side and the Loop. The Vietnamese coffee was quite bad. There was metered parking on the street in front of the restaurant.”

“always an amazing experience here. this is the go to place for my family and I for dim sum. same awesome food and same awesome experience for many years. definitely worth trying at least once for dimsum and also to try again another time for family style dinner. the service and food is very consistent and very tasty.”

“Passed by this restaurant quite a number of times and saw that it was full... now I know why. The lunch special in this restaurant is available all day and you can get an entree and a cup of drink for under $5, such as a shrimp wanton noodle, beef brisket noodle, roast duck rice noodle or yang chow fried rice. $5 for a bowl of noodle and drink! I couldn't believe it!! I assumed that it was a smaller portion of the regular dishes and had the expectation of "you get for what you pay for." However, when the dishes came, I was surprised that it was a hearty bowl! More importantly, they taste awesome! The dish of the night was beef brisket noodle soup where the soup was wonderful. It had a flavorful broth that was beefy and aromatic spices within it. I am definitely longing to return to have this again! For the drinks, we had the Coffee-Tea Melange (aka Yuan Yang = coffee & tea mixed together) and honey lemon tea. Both were really really good. I would gladly pay for them, but to have them thrown in, it's absolutely WOW. Now, the aesthetic of this restaurant isn't anything to write about, or one that would lure you in, but don't miss this traditional Hong Kong cuisine restaurant that is extremely affordable, authentic, and spectacularly yummy! 4 stars overall and one additional star for the delicious and affordable price tag!”

“Great menu mix, great tasting bubble tea, great concept, not so great location. The Taiwanese style fried chicken pieces tasted great with a perfect balance of spices that mixes well in your taste buds. Same concept with the same menu would see a better result in another city lacking if authentic Taiwanese food. Such a waste seeing such a great team trying to survive in a struggling location. Try Kansas City and they shall see better future.”

“Quaint, friendly, local, family owned. This is an older establishment in downtown Chicago with some charm and history hanging on its walls. I ordered the 12" thin crust pizza to-go and loved it. The order was filled quickly, reasonably priced for a pizza of that size from a downtown establishment. And attentive service. The next time I'm in downtown Chicago and craving Italian food, I'll probably drop in again and eat in the restaurant.”

“The best popcorn ever! I have a hard time ordering the special flavors by mail, so we jumped on the opportunity to go to Garrett's while we were in town. Garrett's mix is a win-win combination. Even when shipped, it is fresher & taste better than the popcorn purchased in town.”
