“This is the first time I've sat down for a meal here. I've been to this La Mie location twice before, but just got pastries to go. The line was kind of confusing on a busy Sunday morning. There were a bunch of people waiting for to-go orders so that made it more difficult to discern where to join the queue. If the line is long then you inevitably land in front of the pastry counter where you can choose your own croissants, tarts, etc. to be wrapped up before you wait in the same line to pay. Or, you can forgo the pastries and just order hot food at the main counter. You can also pick up some take-and-bakes along with other prepared foods. We decided to dine-in so they assigned us a table number. The food came out quickly! My Quiche Florentine was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! My boyfriend got a Southwestern Scramble that he also enjoyed. The coffee is decent here and the traditional pastries are always good. The macarons are hit or miss. But, the rest, is wonderful!”

“Found out going to lunch on a Wednesday at Baker's Square is for the old crowd. Food and service were great but be prepared to feel like you have arrived at the lunch hour at the old folks home. I thought it would be like the weekend mornings but no. Quick and pleasant service. Reasonable prices. Lots of options on the menu, great location, plentiful parking. We enjoyed our dinner there. They offer a three item dinner which includes salad, half sandwich and a slice of pie. It’s a well balanced meal. Of course it was hard to pick what pie to eat.”

“Panera has gone down hill. There is no descriptions of any if the sandwiches on the menu board. The workers never seem to know what they are doing. Dirty tables everywhere. And the buzzer system is a joke. Part of the appeal of Panera was your name being called and being treated like you're at home. The vibe is not like that at all anymore. Food is still good but expensive for what you get. Probably wont be back for a while.”

“I've been searching high and low for a really good frozen yogurt place since I arrived in Des Moines and was so glad that I found Menchie's! Now, the only flavor I ever get at any frozen yogurt place is always the Original Tart flavor and this place has the best by far (I once tried the cake batter flavor and that was delicious!). Menchie's has a lot of toppings that you can add to your yogurt, more so than other places. Usually I come here on the weekends and they are typically crowded, but I've never had to wait long. The staff is always very friendly and personable. I've never actually eaten here, I normally get my yogurt to go. The place is pretty small and they only have a handful of tables both inside and outside. But I still love coming here every weekend, keep it up Menchie's!”

There’s quite a few parking slots too on the side. This Dunkin’ offer drive through too if you’re in a hurry and want in and out quick. “What to Perkins around 5 p.m., got seated and then the people started coming in and there was only one waitress, Cheyenne, and the hostess. More people came in had to be seated, and then waited on. While continuing to serve the existing Cheyenne and the hostess, did an excellent job of taking care of everyone. Finally a late-arriving waitress got there at 6:10 p.m. by that time Cheyenne and the hostess had everything under control. The meal what's good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Thanks to Cheyenne and the hostess, for their good work and keeping a good demeanor.”
