“The plain and simple used to be made with sliced English muffin bread and toasted to perfection. The English muffin bread was sweet and firm. Today it was made with an oversized wheat bread that was floppy. The floppy semi-toasted wheat bread with whole grain mouth feel is very different than the English muffin and has totally changed what made this sandwich great. The whole wheat taste dominates this sandwich. Bring back balance to the breakfast sandwich. Bring back the English muffin bread! Edit: the new sandwich could be called the Grain and Simple”

“Food was great. Some of the best noodles I've had in this region. I've been to several noodle shops where the ratios are wrong, and this one has the perfect amount of noodle to broth to protein to veggies and it's absolutely amazing. The wings are very tastey as well. Service was great and very informative/helpful.”

“A great place with delicious food and excellent service. It can be a bit of a wait, especially on weekends, but it is well worth it. And since it's located right on Mass. Street you can window-shop while you wait. I recommend the fried steak (get the ½ plate).”

“My husband and I stopped in because I’m always down to trying crepes and it was near our apartment so we gave it a shot and we were not disappointed. The two guys were extremely nice and made sure we understood the menu and got our feedback on the food. We ordered a double stuffed crepe with strawberries and bananas inside and it comes with Nutella, m&m’s and pistachio on top. SO GOOD. We also ordered a tiramisu and he charged it to the house. Very pleased with our visit and the service provided. Masks are required as well!”

“Super good bakery items. The cinnamon donut (which is more the consistency of a coffee cake) is fabulous, as is the ginger cream pie. I’m confident that other things would be just as delicious. The coffee, on the other hand, was less impressive. The espresso isn’t bad, but there’s not much complexity to it, truth be told. Or, maybe it just seems weak? (I’m an experienced coffee connoisseur but horrible at describing tastes.) The pour over I selected (a Nicaraguan) was likewise OK – not spectacular. But the real issue with the coffee was the unbelievable amount of time that it took. Yes, when I went it was crowded... like, crazy busy. But still, I’m not exaggerating when I say the two drinks took about 10-15 minutes (felt like 15+), which is just too dang long to be waiting for a cup of coffee. Anyway, I’d be happy to give them another chance because the baked goods are so yummy, and hopefully the extremely slow drinks were an anomaly.”

“We love eating out. Yesterday we came to this delicious restaurant which friends told us about. We spent a delightful evening there with great food and a well-trained crew and a talented chef. We put this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will definitely go again very soon. Highly recommended.”

“Fresh made food. Water is served in Mason jars, then you're asked if you want anything else. Sandwiches came with thinly sliced cucumber, marinated with a flavor similar to bread and butter. I had the Elm St. Turkey and Apple. DH had the Texan. Both were very good and quite filling. Employees are friendly, even though they were working on a holiday. Order at the counter, food is delivered to your table. We were asked several times if everything was OK or if we needed anything else. Located in an old building, possibly a converted house. Limited seating. Worth the drive from the freeway!”

“To be honest, I was a bit worried what I'd find inside when we pulled up to this place. It's very bland outside, with its gravel parking lot and beige paint... I almost missed its sign and it's painted in yellow, nearly blending in with the wall behind. It made me wonder if we even had the right place. However, when we stepped inside, there was a beautiful old stairway leading you up to a bright, sunlit loft-styled area, filled with an eclectic array tables and chairs and nicely, yet minimally, decorated. The coffee was wonderful and rich. Perfect for a cold day. I didn't try any of the food, but what I saw served, looked fresh and very appealing! There was an open deck for warm weather gatherings and it appeared that Decade didn't just sell coffees and teas, but adult beverages as well. Might be a nice neighborhood place to visit in the evening.”

“Fantastic experience. Friday night reservations for 4. Bar and restaurant were both crowded, yet service was friendly and fast. Food was fantastic, both in selection and preparation. Strong bar program and great wine list. Best meal of the New Year thus far, and will no doubt be a place I seek out if ever back in Lawrence.”
