“Ordered the fried goat fritay and it was amazingly good. The food was enough for two. The fried Puff-puff/ dough was fried perfectly. It was moist in the inside and golden brown on the outside. The goat was well seasoned with a little bit of heat. The plantains were still hot when they arrived. I should try playing the lottery tonight, it might be my lucky day 🤔.”

“IThe food here was good and I have frequented her about four times. Three of those times I bought the Bento Box. Only once in those bentos have I received the condiments in the box for my Sushi rolls. Also, way too much rice and not enough sauce.”

“I had a great experience here. They made an extra effort to make sure that I had what I needed (two customized drinks) and one regular. The service and quality service was great. I hope it stays this way 🙏🏽. I appreciate the support. I recommend they’re keeping the conference room closed (it would look nicer and a bit more visually appealing), but A+ on my three experiences.”

“Boston Restaurant Bar & Grill offers a delightful array of Haitian-influenced cuisines. Curious about Haitian flavors, I opted for the steak and cheese spring roll as an appetizer, followed by the Haddock served over mashed potatoes and garlic sautéed spinach for my entrée. Both dishes were impeccably presented, with a touch of class. While I couldn't fully assess the taste of the steak and cheese due to the presence of sautéed onions (not my preference), the Haddock dish leaned slightly towards the salty side. Despite this, I am eager to return to sample their lobster ravioli. The atmosphere exuded a cool and mature vibe, complemented by light Soca tunes in the background. The restaurant buzzed with vibrant conversations at each table, creating an inviting ambiance. Although I stopped by after the gym with the intention of a quick meal, I would highly recommend this establishment for a night out with friends, a romantic date, or even a solo dining experience to gather one's thoughts.”

“Delicious food with fresh ingredients. Strawberry Fields salad was delicious. So was the steak and cheese pocket and the chicken Caesar wrap. Owner and staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Awesome calzones and deep fried Oreos too! A great addition to the neighborhood.”

“Expensive dessert jar but nicely done. Very distinctive taste of coconut (so you have to really like that) and a sesame paste similar to Chinese cake stuffing. Not too sweet. Comes with cute reusable sturdy plastic spoons and you could reuse the glass jar.”

“Really unique place! I tried: 1. Longan, date, wolfberry (goji berry), tremella soup with a side of lotus and sea coconut (also called Lodoicea or Coco de Mar), 2. Strawberry Pochette: basically a crepe with strawberry and ricotta (if I had known that I would have foregone, as I know what those things taste like). 3. Papaya coconut 🥥 milk with Sago (other names are saksak, rabia and sagu: an extract of palm stems and a staple in New Guinea and the Maluku Islands 4. Mango pizza with fresh mango and mango jam, mozzarella, and mayonnaise on top (that part sounded gross but it was so tasty). The fruit soups were not cheap, but they were so tasty, and I don’t know where else you can try this variety of vegetation! No parking right out front, but there is street parking all along other streets. Fully accessible but the door is insanely heavy to open so I asked for help. Sadly no bathroom!!! Most of the ordering is done on your phone with a QR code associated with each table.”

“Finally, the long awaited new spot on Harvard Ave has finally opened! I got two slices of cheese, and they were great value for $5! The dough is similar to Sicilian style, but the pizza is a bit thinner and more manageable. Big fan of the crunchy & crispy crust!”

“This was such a great last minute find for me and my family! Definitely make a reservation beforehand because it does get packed but super easy to. Probably the best hotpot I’ve had in Boston so far. Very fresh ingredients for decent prices. The interior is gorgeous and their sauce bar is clean with lots of variety. I also love how many non alcoholic beverages they have. Highly recommend.”

“Went to Baby Cafe in Allston for lunch on Friday, atmosphere is great and love what they done to the place. Service was quick as it was not crazy busy However food was okay. The French Toast inside was too thick and doughy. Baked pork chop rice was a bit different than what I was used to in HK style. Milk tea flavor was pretty good.”

“I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup. Very generous portions, good prices, and delicious broth. Minus one star only because the beef was a bit dry, I would have preferred a slightly fattier cut if possible. Other than that, absolutely delicious and would definitely come again. Photo of menu attached taken on 6/29/24.”

“Great new addition to Allston’s ramen scene. With so many ramen restaurants in Allston, Yakima initially seemed like a just another ramen spot. Their menu, as expected, offered the usual light Japanese appetizers, ramen, and some rice bowls. However, I was quite surprised to find out that their ramen was better than the most, particularly with its exceptional broth. From their appetizers, Takoyaki and Gyoza were solid, but the standout for me was the Aburi Chasu. It was essentially the same pork belly toppings they use on their ramen, and despite being a bit fatty, its tenderness and subtle smokiness were enjoyable. The real highlight was, of course, their ramen. The Tonkotsu Ramen boasted a broth that struck a perfect balance of savory depth, achieving richness without being excessively fatty. While the other toppings were standard, the broth's quality was so impressive that it prompted me to order another one for delivery later on. The Curry Chicken Don was just okay, but it was the ramen that truly set Yukiya apart.”

“I recently had lunch at Love & Light and it was fantastic! The meal was both delicious and healthy, with a refreshing smoothie that left me feeling energized. Choosing from their diverse menu was tough, but every option was tempting. I loved the Buddha bowl with salmon. Portion was generous, allowing me to enjoy leftovers the next day. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the neighborhood looking for great healthy food and a welcoming atmosphere! Can't wait to go back! :)”

“Nice atmosphere. Drink and sandwich were hot when I got them. Quiet music in the background. Free Wi-Fi. Very friendly staff. 3/5/23 Place was busy today. Background music was perfect for this boomer! Staff was as friendly as ever. Nice clean accessible bathroom in the main floor.”

“This place in Roslindale is one of the most tasteful places to eat in the city! And arugula fennel orange salad (which is vegan btw!) was delightful. As was the watermelon sorbet my son enjoyed very much. AND the have things for kids, including bookshelf with books!”

“Place has a great atmosphere. Just wish they had more variety of smoothies. It's hard to find a great smoothie with yogurt in this city.”

“Very unique flavors. The spicy beef noodle actually has a little heat to it. The fried dumplings are full of flavor and the Somsa (beef pastry) is amazing. Fast and easy to get to go.”

“Cheap skewers and tanghulu!! Very thin sugar coating, although some of their tanghulul skewers are frozen so ask beforehand. Their skewers have a great spicy seasoning. Most skewers are around $3. I’ve tried the other places at this food court, and I think this is the best spot by far. Not sure why they have 3 stars.”

“Self-Service Made Simple: 📱 Ordering via an iPad at The Scoop and Scootery offers a seamless and modern way to select your sweet treat. It's efficient and lets you take your time deciding without the pressure of a queue behind you. Vibrant Vibe: 🎨🌈 Step into a visual treat with a flair of modern ice cream parlor mixed with urban chic. The decor shines with its neon signs and rustic wood elements, making it a prime spot for both casual hangouts and Instagram shots. It's easily the highlight of your visit here. Frosted Flaws: 🍨😕 While the ambiance scores big, the vegan vanilla ice cream does not. Described as tasting rather watery, it lacked the rich, creamy texture and flavor one craves in ice cream, vegan or not. The high cost for vegan options—nearly 50% more than regular flavors—didn't match the quality, which was a letdown given the promising array of toppings. A miss this time around, but with potential for redemption if the recipe improves. Enhanced Experience: 🌟🎆 Service: Streamlined and straightforward, fitting the fast-paced vibe of the city. Decor: A delightful setting that adds a splash of fun to your dessert dash. Food: The non-vegan offerings might shine, but the vegan vanilla needs a serious churn back to the drawing board. Looking Back: 🤔💭 The Scoop and Scootery offers an eclectic, visually stimulating environment perfect for dessert lovers looking for something out of the ordinary. However, the vegan options need tweaking to truly stand out. Final Verdict: 🌟🌟🌟 - "A Mixed Bag of Delights" "Perfect for a visual feast and a casual treat, but vegans beware: the vanilla might leave you cold." For a spot that nails the ambiance but might miss the mark on some flavors, The Scoop and Scootery is still a worthy visit for those in the area seeking a cool dessert experience with a dash of artistic flair. 🍦🎨”

“I recently visited this restaurant and had a rather enjoyable experience. The ambiance is pleasant and the location is perfect. We arrived without a reservation but were seated after just a few minutes of waiting. The broth was incredible, we tried both the mala spicy broth and the mushroom broth, and they were some of the best I've had in Boston. The flavors were rich and delicious. I tipped our server 25%, which seemed to surprise him. The reason for the generous tip was to remind the staff that no matter the situation, it's important to always do your best. Even when it feels like customers might not tip you as you deserve, never stop delivering excellent service. While the place is nice, there's room for improvement in their service system. Better communication with customers could lead to higher tips. As a bartender myself, I offer this advice with the hope that the team will read these comments and strive to improve. Thank you again 🙏🏼”

“Beef pho only review. Having sampled pho hundreds of times all over north America my standards are high. Firstly... this is good pho. But... It's the smallest bowl over and after a couple bucks tip we are talking $20. I think one of the downsides to Pho becoming trendy is that restaurants I think reduce their bowl sizes to cater to small women. I remember a time where a large bowl of pho was a meal... now the price is up 75% and value down 75%. That's supply and demand. By the way... its so darn hot in this restaurant right now its not bearable. At least open a door or something it's only about 23 degrees out now and it feels like 33 in here. It's unbelievable I ate as fast as I could and literally ran out. Not even kidding. It's a shame... there pho is good but noodles were done in 4 or 5 bites, etc etc. No value here I'd have to spend $40 per visit. Being a traveled pho expert I can not recommend this place unless it's location is convenient and you're trendy.”

“Such wonderful service. My friend and I went on our Boston trip and they were accommodating and understanding when we ordered a dish super late because my friend can’t eat spicy Mapo tofu (which tasted good to me!) and we got another great dish. The owner, waitress, and chefs were all so kind and made us feel so welcome!!”

“Great homey dumpling spot. Their soup dumpling skins aren’t too thick and there’s a good amount of soup in each one. I also like their crystal shrimp dumplings. The shrimp is well-deveined and everything comes out piping hot. The space itself is nice and clean. Ordering is easy via QR code but paper menus are available if you prefer those.”
