“We recently had a birthday party in the party/meeting room. It was the second year we have done that. Erin provided excellent service for our large group, ensuring that we had all the drinks and food we needed through the evening. The only downside was that there was quite a bit of time from the first pizzas that came out to the last pizzas - It wasn't beyond reason, but seems a little odd as the restaurant wasn't overly busy. I would definitely recommend someone use them for another party or gathering.”

“Rapids Brewing Company is a solid brewery with an equally solid food menu. We visited for their Oktoberfest celebration, which involved the ceremonial tapping of a new keg and included free pours (always appreciated!). The “It Has Layers” pizza featured a nice array of alliums and was definitely tasty. It should be noted that there weren’t any dairy-free options, which was somewhat surprising given that so many other breweries on the wood fire pizza bandwagon have plant-based options. My flight of beers included a Hefeweizen, an Oktoberfest, a wet-hopped IPA, and a vanilla porter. The beers were a standard, decent representation of each variety. All in all, if I find myself in Grand Rapids again, I’ll probably return.”

“What an absolutely special hidden spot tucked away in grand rapids not far behind Burger King on Hwy 2. The place is small, and you might have to expect a wait on Friday or Saturday nights. It's a tightly squeezed place but decorated in a fun way. The tea and drinks were good and fast. There was a little bit of a wait for starters and soup, but it's worth it. We had had the chicken teriyaki, vegetable tempura, miso, hulk rolls and earthquake rolls. The staff was wonderful and cheerful. You should go.”

Small quantity of meat for 'fajitas for 2', & the chicken & beef pieces were strange pieces that looked like you would normally discard while cutting up. Quite a bit of chewy fat on the beef. The shrimp would have been better if it had been grilled a bit with charbroiled edges for a more bold flavor to use in the fajita, but that's not their recipe. We moved here from Texas, & it honestly just didn't compare, but we'll give it another try. The waiter was awesome. Looking forward to trying it for dinner instead of lunch. 👍”

“Like others have shared, Sammy's is awesome. You could tell it would be the dining treat of Grand Rapids just from the street! Inside it was busy (hockey tournament on) but the staff and kitchen were as fast as you'd want. Great service and check out the pizza photos! One was the Hamburger with pickles pizza (yuck, I hate pickles!) and mine was the deluxe one. Nice thin crust and my partner had left overs of his pickle pizza! Would definitely eat here again. Prices were reasonable too.”

“We ordered around 2:30 pm. The waitress had a family emergency, but before leaving, she explained the situation and introduced us to her replacement. Both servers were great answering questions about ingredients used. We ordered the Reaper Burgers because we love spicy and they didn't disappoint! Perfect heat to flavor ratio. Onion rings were awesome! And the Avocado fries that were recommended were beyond delicious!! It was very clean and not overly loud. We could hold a conversation without having to raise our voices. Overall, it was a great experience. We will return the next time we are in the area”

“Friendly bartender. Amazing mural on the wall! It's huge! There are board games to play. There is a variety of beers to try. Unfortunately, I found the beer to be quite underwhelming. I give the brewer credit for brewing a wide variety of beers (which isn't easy), but I didn't really find more than two out of a dozen beers tried to be above average. The flight boards are well done, and each is shaped as a unique species of fish. There is a large parking lot with free parking. Unfortunately, there is no patio or outdoor seating. Prices are a buck high per drink. There is no food available, but you can order in.”
