“The outpost is where we ate dinner for most of the last week. The menu listed here is not the one they have now, so this Google listing isn’t being kept up to date. We had several of the dishes, and not one of them was disappointing. The BBQ chicken pizza was spectacular. The baby back ribs were good. I can’t remember exactly what else we had. The service was good. We ate in the bar, not the dining room. For convenience, atmosphere, and good company this place is great!”

“Stayed 3 nights. No ice in ice maker. After 3 days going to check out and morning management says we had a dog in a non dog room. Our room was 10 feet from the front desk,came and went for 3 days with dog. Manager was very rude not only to us but others also. When we made reservations we told them we had a dog when I checked in the dog was there with me. But the manager insisted on changing me a special cleaning fee. Daytime manager would not give me a invoice for the special cleaning or tell me what special cleaning was performed. Very rude day manager. If it take 3 days to figure out that there is a dog in the room what does that say about the cleaning staff? Nothing back from the owners so that must be buisness as usual there.”

“My father's and my fist time here. 1/26/2024 Friday 4PM: Greeted by 2 lovely women servers with beautiful smiles. Cozy midsized restaurant with 3/4ths of the tables full of customers. Everyone was having the Friday special of all you can eat fish or shrimp for $9.99. My dad and I ordered the special as well. It came with baked beans, coleslaw, dinner roll, choice of potato, and tartar sauce. Our plates arrived with a mountain of food. I noticed another customer had a pile of onion rings that looked delicious, so I asked one of the lovely servers if their onion rings were as good as they looked. She confirmed they were indeed. As my father and I were discussing the nice restaurant and excellent food, she surprised us with 2 onion rings for us to sample. That's excellent service. We were so full from our first plate full, the all you can eat option, isn't really an option. Lol. We needed a to-go box. My father insisted he pay for our meals and left a 35% tip which say a lot coming from my dad. As we drove off, my dad said he would like to go back again. He really enjoyed the food and service. I agree and said next time we will have to get the special with onion rings. Rating: 10/10 on food, service, atmosphere and price. Perfect all around.”

“We are staying near Marcell on Caribou Lake and took a drive to Big Fork. Discovered this great spot when a couple of kids walked by with soft serve cones! Boom! Fantastic. Then we returned a few days later for lunch after a visit to the Lost Forty. 5 adults and a bunch of kids — great “combo specials” and onion rings and burgers. Malts with extra malt powder were tasty as well. We sat outside. Kids likes the .25¢ games inside. You won’t be disappointed. Helpful staff.”

“We roadtripped over to this course from Bemidji to add it to our list of courses golfed. Overall, it was a good course. Many of the hole intertwined a bit, so I was thankful it was slow. Some very nice holes though and the staff was very kind. We ate at the restaurant after golfing 18 holes, and the food was your normal bar food but was good and well priced. The carts were good and well taken care of. The course fairways could use some love. Lost several balls that were hit in the middle of the fairway because the grass was long and covered in small white flowers. The greens were in excellent shape, though. Overall, it was a good experience!”

“Hidden gem in the northwoods. Solid patio seating with plenty of fresh air (diner style inside if mosquitoes bug you), thorough menu with lots of breakfast choices. Excellent selection of baked goods. Bonus stars for staff attention to Covid and social distancing. You feel safe. Breakfast sandwich. Melts in your mouth. So good. 5 stars for sure for great service, location, and food. None of the following notes should take away but could be important for your visit: 1. Internet (3ish mbs) is satisfactory for casual work. If you need to eat some data, still might want to head to Grand Rapids. Tip: Both breweries are running +50mbs. 2. Creamer options are dairy only. If seeking oat/coconut/soy/etc options, be sure to bring your own.”

“We had our annual fantasy baseball draft in their separate dining room and it was an excellent venue. I've worked in the service industry a long time so I'm a little picky when it comes to pizza, and this is a very good one here. They really have the crust dialed in. Perfect crust. I tried the flavor burst, pinwheel, bacon cheeseburger, and some more traditional pizzas and they were all terrific. There's also a full bar and some great beers on tap. Owner is a friendly guy. Looking forward to next year.”

“We recently had a birthday party in the party/meeting room. It was the second year we have done that. Erin provided excellent service for our large group, ensuring that we had all the drinks and food we needed through the evening. The only downside was that there was quite a bit of time from the first pizzas that came out to the last pizzas - It wasn't beyond reason, but seems a little odd as the restaurant wasn't overly busy. I would definitely recommend someone use them for another party or gathering.”
