“One of the only places in the city where you can get a legit margherita pizza. I often get a pepperoni pizza–like the plebian I am–because the pepperoni is delicious. This is to say that they use great ingredients. The bar in the back is also a cool place to hang at nights. The pizza is big expensive but worth it.”

“Love coming to City Market Coffee for my latte It's always consistent in flavor - it's never sour or overly frothed/burnt as I've had unfortunately experienced at other coffee establishments. They also have a skeleton regular overlooking the room that is dressed up for every holiday. So cute!”

“Love Bar K! I always feel super comfortable bringing our doggo here. He gives it 5 paws outta 5. The workers do a good job of managing dogs that get a bit too rough. And oddly enough the food (people food) at this dog park is good too. We travel up from south of the metro here, but it's worth the trip.”

“One of my favorite brunch and happy hour spots. They are always changing their food and cocktail menus to try out new things. The nachos and salmon are my favorite. Their brunch cocktails and sangria are phenomenal. The staff is super friendly as well!”

“The atmosphere here is more of a rustic, laid back, almost family vibe. If you've ever enjoyed a decent plate of corned beef hash and eggs, this place should be a must stop. The corned beef hash was the best I've ever tasted in my entire life. And I've eaten it in many restaurants all over the states. My hubby was reluctant to order the French toast, not being a big fan of pumpkin, but in the end, decided to risk it. (He ate every last bite on his plate.) Danny, our waiter was friendly and prompt without seeming rushed, despite being quite busy. He was also somehow right there whenever we needed anything. Fabulous friendly service and food so delicious my mouth is watering just thinking about it, several days later. We will be back.”

“I visited EJ's with a group of people. We had a great time. We mostly each got something different. This is a great place for comfort food, but it's a little better than just that. Well executed. Ingredients are sourced well, better quality than it could be. There is a clear interest in providing something a cut above. I love the seating, it's comfortable and encourages you to stay. There's power at the bar in case you need to plug in a phone or laptop. Service is super friendly - across the board everyone working there really wants you to have a great experience. It's accessible, restrooms are as well. They are gender specific. I think the Brussels sprouts are the best I've ever had anywhere. I really liked the brisket. I wished I'd gotten the green beans, they looked excellent. I returned about a week later to try out their brunch. The bacon is the best bacon I have ever had.”

“The food was delicious and the service was great! Tried the Poppers, tortilla soup, and queso’rito, all amazing. I will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu. Highly recommend!”

“Artego Pizza is absolutely delicious. Be warned: I've never had a quick delivery from them BUT they're definitely worth the wait. If ordering for the first time, definitely get the cheese bread with your order.”

“Kansas City’s coolest restaurant! Fresh local ingredients... and they offer a 10 course tasting menu (as well as regular menu.) I heard that they will accommodate diet restrictions so my wife and I got the 10 course tasting but vegan and gluten free. (But they have meat options as well.) I was skeptical that they would really accommodate my request ... and make it taste good. Whoah! Freshwater surpassed my expectations. Every dish was amazing. Flavorful but not over spiced or heavy or bland. I highly recommend this restaurant. Seriously. It is truly amazing. I took photos of each course. I’m am happily full but not stuffed. The staff was friendly.”

“Wow very impressive! First off I sat at the bar and the service and server was great! The food order was quick and the food arrived very fast. The apple coleslaw was very good, just a bit of apple to give it crunch and a bit of tartness, absolutely delicious. The brisket plate came with both slices and a few burnt ends. Both meats were incredibly tender and tasty. The ends melt in your mouth and have just the right amount of fat to keep them moist and flavorful. The brisket was also very tender with the right amount of smoke and seasoning. Both the standard sauce and the spicy sauces were very good, the spicy isn’t too hot and I think I tasted a touch of cilantro; it was great!”

“The place was very clean. I went in with server acid reflux and told the lady my issue. I asked if they had any chicken that did not have breading. She said she would ask the cook if he could cook some plain chicken and veggies with rice and sauce on the side. He said yes. Even though it was plain (which is what I wanted) it still tasted good. It was cooked perfect. The waitress was super nice and understanding and I am very appreciative of that.”

“This is a bagel. This is what you should expect when you want an authentic, fresh, flavorful, texture-perfect bagel. Chewy, soft, crunchy, optionally schmeared liberally with unique and tasty spreads. The ambiance of the shop is right on as well, in a great area of the city. This is where you go when you know what you're doing. Don't screw up the parking!”

“Food was a 5/5 but service wasn’t very good, they brought us two plates that we didn’t order. Gyros meat was amazing one of the best I’d ever tried. The salad that comes with the entree is good too. The rose lemon was a win.”

“Stopped in because I heard the meatloaf was good.. And it was delicious. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it was good too. Tried the wings and they're good too. The atmosphere was cool, more like a bar setting. The service was good and the price of the beers were normal/average. They have $5 random can beer machine that's pretty cool too. My only complaint is that the meatloaf could be a couple dollars cheaper. I'd recommend it though if you can get past the sticker shock.”

“This was the best date night I've had in a very long time. Cozy atmosphere, top notch service, delicious food, amazing drinks, clean bathrooms, friendly crowd. Our experience started with personal service from the bartender, making time to come over to our table and explaining how all the custom infused tequila menu worked. He came back time and again just as we needed him and took our food order as well. The drinks were out of this world tasty. Not a single bad drink on the menu and we sampled quite a few. The food was plentiful and delicious, I highly recommend stopping in for a bite if you're in the neighborhood. The decor was quirky and helped create the perfect atmosphere. The waiters were very friendly and prompt. This is a hidden gem along 39th that I can't keep a secret.”

“It's open for dining inside now. Different procedure now. They give you a menu for the bbq and you pick what items you want and how much. The wait person takes the order and gives it to the cook to prepare, then they bring it to your table. It is as good as ever. Stop in, they would appreciate it.”

“The best corned beef and hash in the city. My wife loves eating corned beef and hash for breakfast, so we always get it anywhere that serves it. Room 39 has the best and that is why we keep coming back. We mainly go their for breakfast, but I ha e eaten off the lunch and dinner menu as well. They will not disappoint and your taste buds will thank you. This is one of my favorite breakfast places in town. I have had everything on the menu and it is all great. The worst part of coming here is trying to decide what to order, other than the corned beef. I recommend the oven eggs, but sub for potatoes instead of fruit, the croc madam, or the brioche french toast if you want something sweet.”

“Jazz is an experience. The atmosphere is lively, to put it mildly. (If the live music is too loud, ask for a seat in the bar area.) The dining rooms feel like a roadhouse, albeit a clean one. The service is welcoming, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. The food is delicious. Though the menu is long, it is cohesive - no identity crisis here. And, it's kid friendly!”

“Quaint little shop with amazingly yummy pizza. This was my first time here, and I got a slice of the veggie. It was so good! The crust was crispy and delicate, loaded with cheese and toppings. Service was friendly. I'll be back.”

“Absolutely delicious. Fresh food with bold flavors that are just enough different than your run of the mill Asian food that it is still comfortable yet a unique experience. Traveling through to Iowa but we will definitely be stopping again the next time through.”

“Great burger, I felt it was slightly expensive for a burger but after receiving my order I realized it was huge. Well worth the money and seasoned to perfection. Would definitely buy again if I were craving another burger. Only complaint it comes with turkey bacon.”

“I’ve driven past this place several times over the last year and never thought to stop and see what it was. I drove past yesterday and immediately turned around to find a parking spot to go inside. The place is so colorful and smells amazing right before you even walk in. I don’t quite remember what I ordered but I know it had popping boba inside and that was my favorite part about the drink, if I could, I’d just get an entire cup of just that. Overall, the associates were nice and quick and the drink was soooo good. They have a lot on their menu as well. I’ll definitely be back and next time I’ll get a large.”

“FRIENDLY employees!! Loved that our waitress was relaxed and squatted down when talking to us. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy, and yet has high-end food! The meals are big, and very filling! The decorations - you drink from a mason jar, but it feels refined. There is a bar, but still plenty of room downstairs (inside), or upstairs (outside) for a whole family/group to dine together.”
